1. Place a single document on the scanner glass or in the document feeder.

2. Press the (copy) button, or if needed, use the (Menu) > Copy Feature on the control panel.

6. Press the Start button again. The machine will scan the back side and then print both sides on one sheet of paper.

This method is for a USB-connected machine.

1. Place a single document on the document glass or in the document feeder.

2. Select (scan) > Scan to PC > Local PC on the control panel.

3. If you see a “Not Available” message, check the port connection or ensure “Enable Scan from Device Panel” is selected in Samsung Easy Printer Manager > Scan to PC Settings.

• Keep the cartridge in its original, unopened package until you are ready to install it.

• If the package is opened, store the cartridge lying flat (not standing on end) inside its protective bag in a dark cabinet.

Do not store consumables in any of the following conditions:

• Temperature greater than 40°C (104°F).

• Humidity range less than 20% or greater than 80%.

• An environment with extreme changes in humidity or temperature.

• Direct sunlight or room light.

• Dusty places.

• A car for a long period of time.

• An environment with corrosive gases or salty air.

When a toner cartridge has reached the end of its life, the machine will stop printing. Follow these steps to replace it:

1. Open the front cover of the printer.

2. Grasp the handle of the old toner cartridge and pull it out of the machine.

3. Unpack the new toner cartridge. Gently shake it back and forth 5 or 6 times to distribute the toner evenly inside.

4. Remove the protective cover from the new cartridge.

5. Align the new toner cartridge with the tracks inside the printer and slide it in until it clicks firmly into place.

6. Close the front cover securely.

Regular cleaning keeps your printer in the best printing condition. Always turn the machine off and unplug the power cord before cleaning.

Cleaning the Outside:

• Wipe the machine cabinet and display screen with a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water.

Cleaning the Inside:

1. Open the front cover and remove the toner cartridge.

2. With a dry, lint-free cloth, wipe away any dust and spilled toner from the toner cartridge area and the cavity inside.

3. Re-insert the toner cartridge and close the front cover.

Cleaning the Scan Unit:

1. Slightly dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water.

2. Open the scanner lid.

3. Wipe the surface of the scanner glass and the document feeder glass (if applicable) until they are clean and dry.

4. Wipe the underside of the scanner lid and the white sheet until clean and dry.

5. Close the scanner lid.

By selecting the correct media and loading it properly, most paper jams can be avoided. Follow these guidelines:

• Ensure that the adjustable paper guides in the tray are positioned correctly against the paper stack.

• Do not overload the tray. Ensure the paper level is below the paper capacity mark inside the tray.

• Do not remove paper from the tray while the machine is printing.

• Flex, fan, and straighten paper before loading it into the tray.

• Do not use creased, damp, or highly curled paper.

• Do not mix different paper types and sizes in the same tray.

• Use only recommended print media that meets the machine’s specifications.

To access advanced printing features, click Properties or Preferences in your application’s Print window. The following features are available:

• Multiple Pages per Side: Selects the number of pages to print on a single sheet of paper (up to 16). The pages will be reduced in size.

• Poster Printing: Prints a single-page document onto 4, 9, or 16 sheets of paper, which can be pasted together to form a poster. You can specify an overlap to make assembly easier.

• Booklet Printing: Prints your document on both sides of the paper and arranges the pages so they can be folded in half to create a booklet. This is available for Letter, Legal, A4, US Folio, or Oficio sized media.
