To turn on your SAMSUNG XPRESS M2880, follow these steps:

1. Connect the machine to the electricity supply first.

To Install the Driver Locally on Windows:

• Do not remove paper from the tray while the machine is printing.

• Before loading, flex, fan, and straighten the paper stack.

• Do not use creased, damp, or highly curled paper.

• Do not mix different paper types and sizes in one tray.

How to Load Paper in the Tray:

1. Pull the paper tray out from the machine.

2. Open the tray cover and remove any paper.

3. Squeeze the paper width guides and pull them to the ends of the tray.

4. Flex and fan the edges of the paper stack to separate the sheets.

5. Place the paper stack in the tray. The print side should be facing down.

6. Adjust the paper width guides so they lightly touch the sides of the paper stack.

7. Insert the tray back into the machine.

When printing on special media with your SAMSUNG XPRESS M2880, it is recommended to feed one sheet at a time using the manual feeder. If prints come out with curls, wrinkles, or bold lines, open the rear cover and try printing again, keeping it open during printing.

Guidelines for Special Media:

• Envelopes: Use well-constructed envelopes. Avoid stamped envelopes or those with clasps, windows, or self-adhesive seals. Ensure they can withstand the machine’s fusing temperature (about 170°C). Position margins no closer than 15 mm from the edges.

• Transparencies: Use only transparencies designed for laser printers. They must withstand the fusing temperature. Handle them carefully to avoid smudging and do not leave them in the paper tray for long periods.

• Labels: Use only labels designed for laser printers. The adhesive should be stable at the fusing temperature. Use full label sheets with no exposed backing between labels. Must lie flat with no more than 13 mm of curl.

• Card stock/Custom-sized paper: In your software application, set margins to at least 6.4 mm (0.25 inches) from the edges of the material.

• Preprinted paper: Must be printed with heat-resistant ink. The ink must be dry before loading. Load with the printed side facing up and an uncurled edge at the front.

You can load originals on either the scanner glass or in the automatic document feeder (ADF) of your SAMSUNG XPRESS M2880. If an original is in the ADF, the machine will prioritize it over an original on the scanner glass.

Preparing Originals:

• Do not load paper smaller than 142 x 148 mm or larger than 216 x 356 mm.

• Remove all staples and paper clips.

• Do not load carbon paper, coated paper, onion skin, wrinkled, curled, or torn paper.

1. Flex or fan the edge of the paper stack to separate the pages.

2. Load the original(s) face-up into the document feeder input tray. Ensure the bottom of the stack matches the paper size markings.

3. Adjust the document feeder width guides to fit the paper size.

Basic Printing (from Windows):

1. Open the document you want to print.

2. Select ‘Print’ from the File menu.

3. Select your SAMSUNG XPRESS M2880 from the ‘Select Printer’ list.

4. Choose the number of copies and print range.

Printing Problems

• Machine does not print: Ensure it’s receiving power, is selected as the default printer in Windows, and the front cover is closed. Check for paper jams, empty paper tray, or uninstalled toner cartridge. Also, check the cable connection.

• Print job is extremely slow: The document may be very complex. Reduce the complexity or adjust print quality settings.
