To ensure proper performance of your MABE RMT1540V refrigerator, you must leave a space on the back and on the sides. The following table indicates the recommended minimum clearances:

DANGER: RISK OF CHILD ENTRAPMENT. Before you throw away your old refrigerator or freezer:

• Take off the doors.

• Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb inside.

Before connecting the refrigerator, clean the interior of your product with water and neutral soap.

• Choose a place where there is enough space to facilitate the door opening and closing of your refrigerator.

• Do not place your refrigerator near stoves, heaters, or in places where it receives direct sunlight, as this will affect its performance. For better performance, avoid placing the product in places with high humidity.

• Do not place the refrigerator against the wall.

• This refrigerator is for home use only.

• To level the refrigerator, turn the leveling screws that are located at the front, lower part of your product. Turn them until they rest firmly on the floor. Before inserting the refrigerator into its final location, check that it is level. Two persons will be needed to install the refrigerator using the leveling screws. It is recommended that they be used for leveling your product and not for moving it.

a) Your electrical installation is provided with a polarized power cord-type plug and with a grounding terminal. The polarized plug has one blade that is wider than the other one. This plug will fit in an outlet in one way only. This is a safety feature.

b) If your electrical installation is not equipped with this kind of outlet, obtain one, as it will provide you with greater protection. We recommend that it be installed by a qualified electrician, as this will provide you with more protection.

c) Connect your refrigerator to the closest outlet. We strongly recommend against the use of extension cords.

d) The electrical installation for your personal use must be grounded in accordance with the local standards. In case of doubt, ask your dealer for assistance.

e) If you live in an area where there are power surges, take the following precautions:

• Connect your refrigerator with a polarized plug to the wall outlet with the use of a voltage regulator with adequate capacity (1000 Watts).

• Make sure that the regulator can withstand the power surges that occur in your region.

• Your refrigerator must be connected to an independent outlet which cannot be turned off with a switch, on the same circuit.

• To ground the circuit, follow the grounding regulations and call a qualified electrician.

• In case of any harm, the product must be checked by the manufacturer, an authorized service agent or a qualified electrician.

The refrigerator temperature control is located inside the compartment, to the right.

The first time you turn on your product, place the refrigerator temperature control in the “mid” position. For the refrigerator temperature to stabilize, we recommend waiting for 24 hours (one day) before you load it with food.

If you wish to change the temperature, adjust the control in accordance with your needs. “Min” is the position for less cold and “Max” for the coldest temperature.

Note: The interior temperature and cold may vary depending on the ambient temperature. In the hot months (summer), it may be necessary to increase the interior temperature and in the cold months (winter), it will be necessary to decrease it. To obtain less cold in the refrigerator compartment, you must set the refrigerator compartment control to the “Min” position. In the freezer compartment, the control must be set to the “Max” position and vice versa.

Your MABE RMT1540V is provided with an additional control for the fresh food compartment which will allow you to regulate the temperature of the fresh food compartment and the freezer compartment. This control is located in the freezer compartment, just above the fresh food compartment control.

If you wish to adjust it, use a coin inserted in the slot (F). By turning it to the right, less cold will be generated in the freezer compartment and more cold will be generated in the fresh food compartment. By turning it to the left, more cold will be generated in the freezer compartment and less cold will be generated in the fresh food compartment.

1. Unmolding some time by aligning the ice cubes with the drawer and turn them over on the drawer. In this way, the ice cubes fall into the drawer.

2. To remove the ice cubes from the set of 2 or 3 ice trays, to remove the set, simply lift and remove the set from the drawer. Then, turn it to the side to remove the cubes from the tray.

3. To make more ice cubes, repeat the process.

Tempered glass shelves:

To remove the shelf from its location, tilt the shelf up slightly and pull it out. Similarly, pull the shelf out and take it where you want to clean it.

General Cleaning:

We recommend storing food in containers with lids, wrapped or stored in air-tight containers to avoid alterations in flavor or smell.

Do not introduce hot food in your refrigerator or freezer. You must wait until they have cooled down to room temperature.

To clean your refrigerator use:

• Soft cloth or sponge and mild soap.

• Soft cloth, mild soap and water.

For deep-down cleaning:

Unplug your refrigerator from the outlet before cleaning or starting a technical process.

For cleaning your product, do not use metallic fibers, brushes, harsh cleaners, or acid or alkaline products.

• Use a soft sponge or a damp cloth with mild soap. rinse and dry well with a clean, soft cloth.

• We recommend cleaning your product every two weeks. This will help you to clean the interior well.

• Never use tools or sharp pointed objects which may scratch your refrigerator, the shelves, pans or drawers.

• To clean the condenser (on models that apply), use a cloth, brush or sponge to remove the dust from them.

• We recommend that this be performed every six months.

To remove the light bulb cover, press the rear cover inwards while moving the whole cover upwards. To do so, hold the cover in the middle of the sides and push the cover until it is released from the rear fasteners.

Replace light bulb with one of the same electrical characteristics (voltage and power), using a conventional light bulb.

Replace the bulb and insert the front cover of the light bulb into the control disc, and pushing the cover upper part inwards until a “click”.

Leave your refrigerator clean and empty, including the ice trays.

For long absences, we recommend that you disconnect it. After cleaning, this will prevent bad odors from forming.

For short periods of absence, your refrigerator may remain connected, but be aware that if there is a power outage, your food could be damaged.

Your MABE RMT1540V is a device that prevents condensation. The heating comes from a gas that flows through the upper part of the front frame. At the start of operation of your refrigerator, or in places with low ambient temperature or very high humidity, the condensers, might condense and may form dew. Dry with a soft cloth.

Normal operating sounds:

• Fan Sound: Air will circulate due to the product’s operation.

• Crushing sound. Is heard when ice breaks. It is the same noise heard when ice trays are removed from the freezer. It occurs when your product is new.

• Fluid Noise: It sounds as if there is a liquid flowing in the refrigerator. It is the gas-expansion sound. It is the characteristic sound of gas expansion in the refrigeration system and confirms that your product is operating normally.

• Click Sound: This is the sound of the compressor turning on. It occurs when the refrigerator is going through defrosting process.

• Dripping Sound: It comes from the defrosting process, and confirms that your cooling system is operating.

• Bubbling Sound: It is the characteristic sound of bubbling water during the defrosting process. It occurs when your product is new.

If there is an electrical power cut, food will remain cooled a few hours. The interior temperature will not increase if the door is not opened. Try not to open the door. If the power failure persists for more than 6 hours we suggest your place ice bags onto both compartments to preserve the food.

• For your MABE RMT1540V to produce ice, it is necessary to fill the ice trays with water. Do not overfill the ice trays. They must be filled to the level shown in the illustration.

• For easy ice release, it is best to fill the trays with water and store them in the freezer for about 2 or 3 hours. Then, twist the knobs, and the ice will be released.

• To fill up, use the container to pour water, and it is ready to be filled.

• Once the cassette is out, place it on a flat surface and use the container to fill it up. Otherwise, it will be more difficult to unmold the ice.

To remove the egg tray, you must lift it up slightly and pull it out.

To remove the shelf, lift it up slightly and pull it out. To replace it, do the same in reverse.

For the Easy Ice System, located at the top left side inside the freezer compartment:

Warning: Fill with potable water only.

Turn the knobs to the right clockwise.

The ice cubes will be released and will fall onto the ice tray, and the drawer where the ice is deposited once it is unmolded.

Do not force the knobs to the left, as you can break them. Never turn the knobs before the system limits and pulls it inwards until it stops.

Probable Cause / What to do:

• The refrigerator is unplugged. Check to see if it is plugged into an electric outlet and if the outlet has voltage.

• The fuses in your home are blown or the circuit breaker has been disconnected. Check the fuse box and replace the fuse if necessary.

• You are placing a large amount of food. Allow your refrigerator to work for a whole day to reach the right temperature.

• The doors are not completely closed or are opened very frequently. Check to see that there are no objects preventing them from closing or avoid opening them too frequently.

• The controls are not adjusted correctly for the environmental conditions. Adjust the controls to a colder position.

Probable Cause / What to do:

• Your refrigerator is not well-leveled. Adjust the leveling legs.

• It is in contact with another object. Move your refrigerator and separate it from any objects that it may be in contact with.

• The sounds are normal during operation. No action is required. Review the “Normal operating sounds” section.

Probable Cause / What to do:

• This is normal during periods of high humidity. Dry the inside surface.

• The door is being opened very frequently or is not being closed well. Avoid opening the doors very frequently or check that they are closed properly.

• The gasket is dirty or sticky. Clean the gasket.

Probable Cause / What to do:

• The door of the fresh food compartment is not closed correctly. Check that the door is closed properly.

• Your refrigerator is in an area with a lot of atmospheric humidity or near a water source. It is normal that your refrigerator has some condensation; dry with a soft cloth.

• The door gasket is dirty or bent. Clean or reposition the door gasket.

Probable Cause / What to do:

• The door has been opened very recently. When you close the door, the air that entered the refrigerator cools down and contracts. The resulting pressure difference makes it difficult to open the door for a few seconds. Wait a few moments and the door will open easily.
