Please refer to the following table for the minimum space requirements for a correct installation of your MABE RMT1951V refrigerator.

Before you dispose of your old refrigerator or freezer, take off its doors. Leave the shelves in their place so that children do not climb inside.

Before connecting your MABE RMT1951V, clean the interior with a soft cloth or sponge and a mild soap solution in lukewarm water. Dry it with a soft cloth. Any personal material risk is the responsibility of the user. Allow the refrigerator to stand for 4 hours before connecting it for the first time.

Follow these general instructions for your MABE RMT1951V:

1. Before connecting the refrigerator, consider the temperature control in the “Off” position. Allow it to operate empty and with the doors closed for above 4 hours before you load it with food.

2. Do not overload the refrigerator with food; leave space between items and use the back wall for better preservation.

3. Allow the refrigerator to operate empty and with the doors closed for above 4 hours before you load it with food.

4. The water dispenser is for fresh water only. Do not add any other type of liquid.

5. If you want to place your refrigerator in another location, disconnect it before moving. Before moving it, be sure it is completely empty and its doors are closed.

1. Find a suitable location for the refrigerator, one that is not directly exposed to sunlight and is away from heat sources like stoves, heaters, or radiators. The location should also be dry and well-ventilated.

2. Ensure there is enough space to allow the refrigerator doors to open completely.

3. Do not place the refrigerator near heat sources like stoves, heaters, or radiators.

4. Level your MABE RMT1951V. Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom front of the refrigerator. If the refrigerator is not leveled, the doors and the magnetic seal will not adjust properly.

5. Do not insert ice or screws that do not firmly rest on the floor.

6. Before inserting the plug backwards, two persons will be needed to load the refrigerator using the backboard. This product should only be moved by two people.

7. To install your MABE RMT1951V, slightly lean it back. The leveling legs are located at the bottom front.

8. Before inserting the plug into the outlet, clean the interior of your refrigerator, one part towards the refrigerator slightly backwards. Two persons will be needed.

a) Your refrigerator is provided with a polarized power cord-type and with a grounding terminal; to avoid any risk, it should be connected to a polarized outlet with a ground terminal.

b) If your electrical installation is not equipped with this kind of outlet, obtain one; any alteration inside or outside the refrigerator and any damage resulting from that alteration will not be covered by the warranty. This product’s warranty will also be voided.

c) Connect your refrigerator to the closest outlet. We strongly recommend against the use of extension cords.

d) We recommend the use of an individual electrical circuit (one outlet only) for its exclusive use. In doing so, you will avoid power surges and the overloading of your appliance.

e) This product is designed to operate with a voltage of 115-127 V, 60 Hz. Do not connect it to any other voltage that is different from this one.

f) If you live in an area where there are power surges, take the following precautions:

– Install a voltage regulator for your product.

– Disconnect the refrigerator from the outlet before a power surge occurs. If possible, make sure that the regulator can withstand the power surges that occur in your area.

– Any damage to the product resulting from a power surge will not be covered by the warranty, nor is the manufacturer liable for it.

g) To ground the circuit, follow the grounding regulations and call a qualified electrician.

h) If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service agent or a qualified electrician.

The refrigerator temperature control knob is located inside the compartment, to the right of the temperature control dial in the “Off” position. Turn the knob clockwise to lower the temperature or counterclockwise to raise it.

Note: The interior and cold may vary depending on the ambient temperature. In the hot months (summer), place the temperature control between 5 and 7; in the cold months, when the ambient temperature in the cold months (winter) freezer temperature may need to be increased. It is recommended to use the recommended level to avoid the frost of food in the fresh food compartment.

Your MABE RMT1951V is provided with an additional control (Air Flow). The control has three levels (min, med, and max) and distributes the fresh food compartment and the freezer compartment. There is not a specific level to use. It will depend on each user’s usage habits and needs to keep food fresh.

If you wish to adjust it, use a coin to turn the control (F). Turning to the right (clockwise) more cold will be generated in the freezer compartment. Turning to the left (counterclockwise) more cold will be generated in the fresh food compartment. Note: We recommend to place the air flow control in the middle, and adjust it if necessary.

To re-insert the cassette, follow these steps:

1. Unmolding some by some time. There will be ice cubes with a white appearance. This is normal because it has air bubbles. To unmold the ice, use the can. Wait for 5 to 6 hours.

2. To make more ice cubes, take out the tray with ice and put more water in the two ice dishes. To remove the can, simply fill and place them in the tray. Pull it out and fill the ice dish with drinking water, not over the edge.

3. To make more ice cubes, repeat the process.

1. For the first ice, fill the forms with potable water only.

2. Rotate the knob clockwise to unmold the ice.

3. The ice will be deposited inside the can. Once the forms are empty, fill the drawer where the ice is deposited once it is unmolded.

4. To unmold the ice cubes, pull them out gently.

5. It is recommended to keep the ice forms. Do not fill between the system limits and pull it outwards until you hear a “click.” Remove any ice remains.

6. Once the cassette is out, place it on a flat horizontal surface. Once out, take the drawer out by slightly lifting the cover. It will be more difficult to unmold the ice.

Your MABE RMT1951V is equipped with a device that prevents condensation. The heating of these areas is generated by the circulation of a hot gas through the cabinet structure of your refrigerator to prevent the formation of condensation on the cabinet. This is a normal function of your refrigerator. In some cases, like during hot, humid summers, slight condensation may form. Dry with a soft cloth.

The following sounds are characteristic of a new refrigerator and do not indicate a problem:

-Gas expansion sound. It is heard when the ice breaks. It is the same expansion noise when ice trays are put in the freezer. It is more intense at the beginning, then it lowers in intensity.

-The fan noise. The air circulates inside the freezer and the fresh food compartment.

-Crunching sound. It is characteristic of an ice break sound of a glass-made ice heard in the refrigerator and freezer. It is a normal sound related to the temperature expansion process.

-The thermostat opening. It is a soft “click” that is heard when the unit is running. It occurs when the refrigerator is going through the defrosting process.

-The boiling of the refrigerant gas. It is a sound similar to that of boiling water. This indicates that your cooling system is operating.

-Bubbling sound. It is characteristic of the bubbling sound of water. It is the sound of water falling on the heating element.

1. Check if you have home assistance service. Before requesting a guarantee service or receipt of services, read this instruction manual, specially the section “Problems”.

2. Find and always have to hand your property stamped in your guarantee, invoice or receipt of purchase to make it valid according to its date of purchase.

3. Identify the model and serial number of your product. These data can be found on the label inside your product.

4. Look for the service center closest to your location in the enclosed directory and call to schedule the service visit of the authorized technician.

1. To remove the light bulb, press on the covers while moving the hooks that hold them.

2. Replace the light bulb by pressing your rear brush over a cover while moving the brush. To purchase a spare part, contact your local dealer. The service center will give you a list of the models that use a 10 W screw base bulb.

3. Do not place any object in front of the cover.

4. Replace light bulb with one of the same electrical characteristics (voltage and power), 10W max. E-12 socket (candelabra).

5. Remove the cover by sliding it to the side as shown in the drawing. Unplug the disc and pushing the cover upper part upwards until it “clicks”.

Leave your refrigerator clean and empty, including the ice trays.

For short periods of absence, the refrigerator can be left connected with the temperature control in the minimum position.

For long periods of absence, your refrigerator may remain connected, but be aware that it will consume energy and you will have to pay the electricity bill.

If you need to place the refrigerator in a horizontal position in order to transport it, let it sit vertically for at least 4 hours before connecting it.

To remove the crispers, lift and pull them. The crispers are located at the bottom of the refrigerator. Clean them with a soft cloth or sponge and a mild soap solution in lukewarm water. Dry with a soft cloth.

To remove the freezer shelf, lift it slightly to emerge from its rest and pull it out. To remove the baskets, pull them out, lift and emerge them from their guides.

Clean with a soft cloth or sponge and a mild soap solution in lukewarm water. Dry with a soft cloth. For stubborn stains or odors, use a solution of water with bicarbonate of soda (2 tablespoons of bicarbonate in 1 liter of water).

1. Open the lid of the “Ice Factory”, which is located inside the freezer, and pour 1 to 3 liters of water into it. The number of liters you should add will depend on your model’s capacity.

2. For the first time, use ice that is at least 3 days old and the water must cover the suction opening completely.

3. Do not use any other liquid besides water; do not overfill. You will obtain the first ice cubes approximately 24 hours after connecting your refrigerator. The Ice Factory dispenses crushed and cubed ice.

4. To get ice cubes, use a glass with a solid, flat base. Place it at the front of the dispenser and push. To get crushed ice, place the glass at the back and push. For cold water, place the glass between the two buttons and push with a horizontal form for better action.

To remove a shelf, lift it and pull it out. To replace it, slide it in until the rear security hook goes over the end of its guide. The shelves are made of safety glass. Handle them with care to avoid breaking them. Do not wash them when they are hot. If anything drips on a shelf, wipe it with a soft cloth or sponge and a mild soap solution in lukewarm water. Dry with a soft cloth.

For best results, disconnect your MABE RMT1951V before cleaning. We suggest using only a sponge and soapy water for cleaning. Never use abrasive products. For an easier and more complete cleaning, it is important to consider the cleaning that your product will need. You will be able to do this with the help of a person to avoid damages to the refrigerator and to yourself. To avoid the formation of bad odors, clean the interior of your refrigerator once a month. Disconnect your refrigerator from the outlet. Remove all food and place it in another refrigerator to keep it from getting spoiled. Remove all detachable parts from your refrigerator. Clean the interior of the refrigerator. The temperature control dial should always be in the “Off” position during cleaning.

After cleaning the interior of the refrigerator, dry with a soft cloth or sponge. Clean the detachable parts you took out. Use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth or sponge. Let them dry completely. Clean the outside of the refrigerator with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth or sponge. For stubborn stains or odors, use a solution of water with bicarbonate of soda (2 tablespoons of bicarbonate in 1 liter of water).

Once you are finished, connect your refrigerator to the outlet and reset the temperature control. After two or three hours, you can put the food back in. Cleaning of the defrosting pan: the defrosting pan should be cleaned every six months.

The manufacturer is not responsible for the use of the container with another type of liquid other than drinking water.

To fill the water dispenser, you must take into account the capacity of your refrigerator. To know the exact capacity, consult the technical specifications page.

Do not remove any water dispenser parts, except the tank, the tank cover and the drop collecting grille.

Do not open the fresh food compartment door with the dispenser valve open, as it could spill and generate water dripping on the tank, which is normal due to a slight forming of condensation. It is also possible that some drops fall from the valve.

If the tank has been filled for a long time and the water has not been used, the water could acquire a strange taste. To avoid this, it is recommended to empty it and clean it once a month. The water dispenser is for fresh water only. Do not add any other type of liquid.
