To assemble your DYSON PURIFIER HOT+COOL (HOTPLUSCOOL) DE-NOX, please follow these steps:

1. Use both hands to lift your machine out of the box by its base. Do not lift it out by the loop amplifier.

2. Your machine comes with a permanent catalytic filter and a HEPA+K-Carbon filter. Push the catalytic filter into position on the machine.

3. Push the HEPA+K-Carbon filter into the outer cover and position on the base.

4. Push firmly until both outer covers click into place.

Place the remote control on top of the machine with the buttons facing down. Then, plug in and switch on your machine.

The remote control has two columns of buttons:

• Airflow speed: Toggles up and down to increase or decrease airflow speed.

• Auto mode: Activates Auto mode, where the machine intelligently adjusts its settings based on air quality.

• Sleep timer: Sets the machine to turn off after a preset period.

Right Column (from top to bottom):

• Information menu: Scrolls through the data monitored by the purifier.

• Heating control: Toggles up and down to set the target temperature in heating mode.

• Cooling mode: Switches the machine to cooling mode.

• Airflow direction: Changes the direction of airflow from the front to the back of the machine.

• Night mode: Activates Night mode for quieter operation with a dimmed screen.

Standby on/off: Press the Standby on/off button on your Dyson purifier heater or remote control to stop your machine. It will continue to monitor the air quality while in standby.

Continuous monitoring: This feature is turned off by default. When turned on, your purifier will gather air quality, temperature, and humidity information, which is displayed on the LCD screen and in the MyDyson™ app. To turn it on, press and hold the Auto mode button on the remote control for five seconds. The LCD screen will indicate when continuous monitoring is on or off.

Wi-Fi is on by default. To turn the Wi-Fi on or off, press and hold the Standby on/off button on your machine for five seconds.

Press the Information button on the remote control to scroll through the information being monitored by your Dyson purifier heater. Information about air quality, temperature, humidity, and filter levels is shown on the LCD screen. When a particular type of pollutant causes air quality to decrease, a symbol for that pollutant will appear on the screen.

The information menu can display the following:

• Indoor air quality – 12 seconds: Shows the current air quality with a graph of the last 12 seconds of data.

• Particulate matter (PM2.5): Microscopic particles up to 2.5 microns in size, including smoke, bacteria, and allergens.

• Particulate matter (PM10): Larger microscopic particles up to 10 microns in size, including dust, mould, and pollen.

• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs): Typically odours that may be potentially harmful from cleaning products, paints, and furnishings.

• Nitrogen dioxide and other oxidising gases: Potentially harmful gases released by combustion, such as from cooking with gas or vehicle exhaust.

• Formaldehyde (HCHO): A common indoor pollutant that can be released from furnishings, floorings, and glue.

• Indoor temperature: The current ambient temperature.

• Indoor humidity: The amount of water vapour in the air, shown as a percentage.

• Filters: The remaining filter life is shown on the screen and will indicate when replacement is needed.

• Wi-Fi: The current status of the connection to the Wi-Fi network.

When you set your Dyson purifying fan to Auto mode, the on-board sensors will intelligently adjust the machine’s settings according to the air quality.

• Air quality: Your machine will pause when the target air quality has been reached and will switch on again when the air quality levels drop.

• Airflow speed: The airflow speed will increase until the target air quality and temperature have been reached.

Press the Airflow speed button on the remote to increase and decrease the airflow speed.

Press the Airflow direction button to change the direction of airflow from front to back. Select the Airflow direction to Fan mode for airflow from the front for purifying, cooling, and heating.

Press the Oscillation button on the remote to circulate the air around the room. You can scroll through the oscillation settings from 0° to 350°. You can also customise your oscillation setting in the MyDyson™ app.

In Night mode, your Dyson purifier heater will continue to monitor and respond to changes in air quality, but only using its quietest settings and with its LCD screen dimmed.

The sleep timer will turn off your purifier automatically after a selected amount of time.

• To set the time: Press the Sleep timer button to scroll through the time options.

• To check the time selected: Once activated, press the Sleep timer button once.

• To cancel the Sleep timer: Press the Sleep timer button twice.

Heating mode: Press the Heating mode button (with the red circle) to set the required room temperature using the up and down toggles. Your machine will pause when the set temperature has been reached.

Cooling mode: Press the Cooling mode button (with the blue circle) to switch your machine from heating mode to cooling mode.

The remaining filter life is displayed on the screen and will indicate when your non-washable filter needs replacing. Your machine comes with a permanent catalytic filter that you won’t need to change.

To change your HEPA+K-Carbon filter:

1. Before changing your filter, switch off and unplug your Dyson purifier heater.

2. Push down on the buttons on either side of your machine to release the outer cover.

3. Push down on the tabs to remove the filter from the cover.

4. Push the replacement filter into the outer cover and make sure the tabs click into place.

5. Put the outer covers into position on your machine and push firmly until they both click securely into position.

6. Plug in and switch your machine on, and reset your filter life.

It’s important to reset your filter life after you have replaced your filter. To reset the HEPA+K-Carbon filter life, press and hold the Night mode button on your remote control. The display on your machine will countdown from five, the filter life will be reset, and your machine will be ready to use.

To always get the best performance from your Dyson purifier, it’s important to regularly clean it and check for blockages.

• If your machine is dusty, wipe with a damp lint-free cloth.

• Look for blockages in the air inlet holes on the filter and the small aperture inside the loop amplifier.

• Use a soft brush to remove dust and debris.

• Don’t use detergents or polishes to clean your machine.

If your machine shows an error code, try turning it off and then on again.
