Note: The DJI OM Multifunctional Module is referred to as “Multifunctional Module”. The Osmo Mobile 7P combo includes the Multifunctional Module and accompanying accessories. For Osmo Mobile 7, the module and accessories are sold separately.

To charge the DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P, connect a USB-C cable to the charging port on the gimbal. The product is fully charged when the Battery Level Indicator turns off.

To unfold the DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P, rotate the gimbal arm until it clicks into the ‘ON’ position. You can then unfold the built-in tripod legs for stable placement.

Important notes:

• The built-in tripod is suitable for stable, level surfaces in windless environments. In other conditions, it is recommended to attach a DJI OM Grip Tripod (sold separately) to the bottom of the gimbal.

• The DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P has a built-in extension rod. If you extend it, make sure to adjust the Pan Motor to be level with the ground to ensure balance after the phone is attached.

1. First, attach the DJI OM 7 Series Magnetic Phone Clamp to the center of your phone.

2. Align the magnetic clamp with the mounting point on the gimbal’s roll motor. The clamp will snap into place magnetically.

3. A steady gimbal mode light on the status panel indicates that the gimbal is stabilizing the phone. If the light is not displayed after you attach the phone, press the M button to enable stabilization.

1. First, download the DJI Mimo app.

2. Enable Bluetooth on your phone.

3. Open the DJI Mimo app and it will search for nearby DJI devices.

4. Select your DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P from the device list (e.g., OM7/7P-xxxx) to connect.

If the Bluetooth connection with your DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P fails, try the following steps:

1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone. Remove any existing connections with the gimbal and “forget” the device.

2. Reset the Bluetooth on the gimbal. You can do this by pressing the switch button, shutter/record button, and trigger simultaneously for more than one second.

3. Tap the new device name in your phone’s Bluetooth settings. Once connected, relaunch the DJI Mimo app.

A prompt will appear in the DJI Mimo app when new firmware is available. Tap the prompt and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.

Before starting, ensure that the Battery Level Indicator shows solid green. Do NOT exit DJI Mimo during the update.

If the update fails, restart DJI Mimo, re-establish the Bluetooth connection, and try again.

The DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P can be held in various ways for different shooting angles, including standard upright, underslung, and side-grip positions. These grip gestures apply to both landscape and portrait orientations.

If the built-in tripod is extended, grip the main handle to ensure stability. DO NOT grip only the tripod legs.

The DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P has several follow modes that determine how the gimbal responds to your movements.

The indicators on the status panel provide information about the system, battery, gimbal mode, and recording status.

The buttons and ports on the DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P control various functions:

Power/M Button

• When powered off (folded): Press once to check the battery level.

• When powered off (unfolded): Press once to power on.

• When powered on: Press once to switch between gimbal modes. Press three times to enter standby mode (press any button to exit). Press and hold to power off.

• The M button can also control phone charging from the gimbal or Multifunctional Module.

Side Wheel (Osmo Mobile 7P)

• Press once: Switch between focus and zoom control.

• Rotate: Control focus or zoom.

• The side wheel can also control the fill light when used with the Multifunctional Module.

Joystick

• Move vertically and horizontally to tilt and pan the mobile phone. The control direction can be set in DJI Mimo.

Shutter/Record Button

• Press once: Take a photo or start/stop recording.

• Press twice: Take a photo during recording.

• Press and hold: Burst shooting when in photo mode.

Switch Button

• Press once: Switch between front and rear cameras.

• Press twice: Switch between landscape and portrait modes.

• Press three times: Switch between photo and video modes.

Trigger

• Press once: Start or stop ActiveTrack.

• Press twice: Recenter the gimbal.

• Press three times: Rotate the phone 180 degrees in the horizontal plane.

• Press once, then press and hold: Adjust the follow speed to fast mode. Release to exit.

• Press and hold: Enter lock mode. Release to exit.

Charging Port (USB-C)

• Used for charging the gimbal or charging the phone from the gimbal.

Combination Operation

• Press the switch button, shutter/record button, and trigger simultaneously for more than one second to reset the Bluetooth name and connection and reconnect.

To charge your phone using the DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P gimbal:

1. Make sure the gimbal is sufficiently charged (the battery indicator shows yellow or green).

2. Make sure the gimbal is powered off.

3. Connect your phone to the USB-C charging port on the gimbal using an appropriate cable.

Note: Certain phones are charged only after pressing the M button.

Follow these steps to properly store your DJI OSMO MOBILE 7P:

1. For the Osmo Mobile 7P, retract the built-in extension rod.

2. Press and hold the Power/M button to power off the gimbal. It will automatically rotate to the folding position.

3. Once folded, remove the phone, phone clamp, and Multifunctional Module together as a single unit.

4. Fold the built-in tripod legs and retract the extension rod completely (if applicable).

For the next use, you can attach the phone, clamp, and module as a whole and unfold the gimbal to start shooting.

Installing the Module:

The Multifunctional Module attaches magnetically to the DJI OM 7 Series Magnetic Phone Clamp. You can attach it in two ways:

• Example 1 (For selfies): Attach the module so the tracking camera faces you.

• Example 2 (For shooting others): Attach the module so the tracking camera faces away from you.

If the indicator on the module does not turn on after installation, check that the alignment marks on the gimbal and the phone clamp are correctly aligned.

Removing the Module:

To remove the module, press the release button on the module and detach it from the phone clamp.

Note: If the Multifunctional Module is idle for more than five minutes, it automatically enters sleep mode, and the indicator turns off. To exit sleep mode, press the trigger on the gimbal.

The Multifunctional Module allows you to use tracking in your phone’s system camera or third-party apps, without using DJI Mimo. It supports tracking people only.

Tracking:

1. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and connect to the gimbal.

2. Position the module’s tracking camera and your phone’s camera towards the subject.

3. Enable tracking by either showing a “palm” gesture to the camera or by pressing the trigger once. The camera status indicator will turn solid green.

4. Adjust the composition as needed using the joystick during tracking.

5. To pause tracking and adjust composition, show a “peace sign” gesture. The indicator turns solid yellow. Move to the desired position and show the “peace sign” gesture again to resume tracking. To restore the default composition, press the trigger twice.

6. To stop tracking, show the “palm” gesture again or press the trigger again. The indicator turns solid red.

Shooting:

Whether tracking is enabled or not, you can use a “V” or “peace sign” gesture to start a 3-second countdown for taking a photo or starting/stopping a recording. The indicator will pulse yellow during the countdown.

First, make sure the Multifunctional Module is properly installed.

Adjust Brightness:

Press the brightness control button (sun icon) repeatedly to cycle through different brightness levels and to turn it off.

Adjust Color Temperature:

Press the color temperature control button (thermometer icon) repeatedly to cycle through different color temperature settings.

Using the Side Wheel (Osmo Mobile 7P only):

• Press and hold: Turn the fill light on/off.

• Press once: Switch between controlling brightness and color temperature.

• Rotate: Adjust the selected setting (brightness or color temperature).

• Press twice in DJI Mimo: Set the effect of rotating the side wheel to either focus/zoom control or brightness/color temperature control.

The Multifunctional Module can connect to two wireless microphone transmitters, such as the DJI Mic Mini.

1. Connect the Multifunctional Module to your phone using the provided USB-C cable. For iPhone 14 and earlier models, a USB-C to Lightning cable (sold separately) is required.

2. Enable Bluetooth pairing on the Multifunctional Module by pressing and holding the Color Temperature Control/Bluetooth Pairing Button for two seconds.

3. Power on the wireless transmitter.

4. Enable Bluetooth pairing on the transmitter (refer to its user manual for instructions).

5. Once paired, the indicators on both the Multifunctional Module and the transmitter will turn solid green, and you can start recording audio.

To prevent the cable from obstructing the gimbal, bend it as needed.

You can use the DJI Mimo app on a supported Apple Watch to view the camera feed, control the gimbal, and enable ActiveTrack remotely.

1. Pair the watch with your phone and install the DJI Mimo app on both devices.

2. Run DJI Mimo on your phone, connect to the gimbal, and enter the camera view.

3. Run DJI Mimo on the watch to start remote control.

Ensure that both the watch and the phone are kept within Bluetooth range during operation.

• If there is a product fire, use water, sand, a fire blanket, or a dry powder fire extinguisher to put it out.

• Never disassemble or pierce the product in any way, as the battery may leak, catch fire, or explode.

• It is recommended to use a soft, dry cloth to clean the product.

• When a phone is attached to the gimbal, its compass feature may experience interference. If this happens, calibrate the compass according to the prompts on the phone.

• The NFC and wireless charging functions of the phone may be affected when the phone clamp is attached. These functions will work normally once the clamp is removed.

• The built-in extension rod contains a spring. If it is extended for more than a week, the spring may become deformed. It is recommended to retract the extension rod and fold the gimbal after use.
