Use both hands to lift your machine out of the box, holding it by its base. Do not lift it out by the loop amplifier.

The Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 is supplied with a combined glass HEPA+Carbon filter.

Place the remote control on top of the machine with the buttons facing down. Plug the machine in and switch it on.

Download the MyDyson™ app from the App Store or Google Play.

Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account.

The app allows you to access step-by-step setup and support, control how and when your Dyson purifier operates, monitor air quality with visual updates, and automatically keep up to date with the latest software updates.

Using Amazon Alexa: Ask Alexa to enable the Dyson skill to control your Dyson purifier. You can also set up a routine that automates how your machine works with other devices in your home.

Using Google Assistant: Control your connected purifier with Google. You can also set a routine to automate how your machine works with other devices. Just say “Hey Google” to get started.

Using Siri: Connect your Dyson machine to Siri Shortcuts to control it with your voice on your Apple device.

Press the Standby on/off button on your Dyson purifier or the remote control to stop your machine. It will continue to monitor the air quality while in standby.

Continuous monitoring allows your Dyson purifier to gather air quality and temperature information, which is displayed on the LCD screen and in the MyDyson™ app. It is turned off by default. To turn it on or off, press and hold the Auto mode button on the remote control for five seconds. The LCD screen will indicate whether continuous monitoring is on or off. Once turned on, it will remain active until you turn it off again.

Wi-Fi is on by default. To turn the Wi-Fi on or off, press and hold the Standby on/off button on your machine (not the remote) for five seconds.

Press the Information button on the remote control to scroll through the information being monitored by your Dyson purifying fan. Information about particulate matter and filter levels is shown on the LCD screen. When a particular type of pollutant causes air quality to decrease, a symbol for that pollutant will show on the LCD screen. The menu can display:

Indoor air quality – 12 seconds: A graph showing the air quality over the last 12 seconds.

Particulate matter (PM10): Larger microscopic particles (up to 10 microns) like dust, mould, and pollen.

Particulate matter (PM2.5): Microscopic particles (up to 2.5 microns) like smoke, bacteria, and allergens.

Filters: The remaining filter life. It indicates when your filters need replacing.

Wi-Fi: The current status of the connection to the Wi-Fi network.

When you set your Dyson purifying fan to Auto mode, the on-board sensors will intelligently adjust the machine’s settings according to the air quality.

Air quality response: Your machine will pause purification when the target air quality has been reached and switch on again when the air quality levels drop.

Airflow speed adjustment: The airflow speed will increase automatically until the target air quality has been reached.

To activate, use the Auto mode button on the remote control.

Press the Airflow speed button (+) or (-) on the remote control to increase or decrease the airflow speed.

Press the Oscillation button on the remote control to circulate the air around the room. You can scroll through the oscillation angle settings from 0° to 350°. You can also customise your oscillation setting in the MyDyson™ app.

In Night mode, your Dyson purifying fan will continue to monitor and respond to changes in air quality, but only using its quietest settings and with its LCD screen dimmed. Press the Night mode and Sleep timer button on the remote control to activate Night mode or scroll through the sleep timer options (which turn the machine off after a preset period).

Before changing your filter, switch off and unplug your Dyson purifying fan.

Check the remaining filter life on the screen (press the Information button on the remote if needed). The filters are non-washable and need replacing when indicated.

1. To release the outer cover, push down on the buttons located on either side of your machine.

2. Push down on the tabs on the filter to remove it from the outer cover.

3. Push the replacement filter into the outer cover, ensuring the tabs click securely into place.

4. Place the outer covers back onto the machine base and push firmly until they both click securely into position.

5. Plug in and switch your machine on.

6. Finally, reset the filter life on your machine.

It’s important to reset your filter life after you have replaced your filter. Press and hold the Night mode button on your remote control. The display on your machine will countdown from five. Once the countdown finishes, the filter life will be reset, and your machine is ready to use.

To always get the best performance, it’s important to regularly clean your purifier and check for blockages.

Cleaning: If your machine is dusty, wipe it with a damp lint-free cloth. Do not use detergents or polishes to clean your machine.

Checking for blockages: Look for blockages in the air inlet holes on the filter and the small aperture inside the loop amplifier. Use a soft brush to remove any dust and debris.

If your machine displays an error code, try turning it off and then on again. If this does not clear the error code, contact Dyson Customer Care.
