For optimum blower performance, operate the DURASTAR DRF2TA3624ASTNJN0 in the 0.3 to 0.7 inches W.C. external static range. Units with coils should be applied with a minimum of 0.1 inch W.C. external static range.

The DURASTAR DRF2TA3624ASTNJN0 air handler has a 5-speed constant torque motor. The speed taps are designated as follows:

• Speed tap 1: For continuous fan operation.

• Speed tap 2 (low static) and speed tap 3 (high static): For lower tonnage units (1.5 or 2.5 tons).

• Speed tap 4 (low static) and speed tap 5 (high static): For higher tonnage units (2.0 or 3.0 tons). As a 3.0 ton unit, the DURASTAR DRF2TA3624ASTNJN0 uses taps 4 and 5 for cooling/heating operation.

To adjust the motor speed for your application’s needs, follow these guidelines:

• Use the low static speed tap (tap 4) for external static pressures below 0.5″ WC.

• Use the high static speed tap (tap 5) for external static pressures exceeding 0.5″ WC.

To change the setting, move the blue wire to the appropriate speed tap on the motor terminal block.

The DURASTAR DRF2TA3624ASTNJN0 air handler is always shipped from the factory with the motor set to speed tap 5.

The airflow for the continuous fan, which uses speed tap 1, is always set at 50% of the airflow of speed tap 4.
