If you smell gas, follow these steps for your safety:

1. Do not try to light a match or cigarette, or turn on any gas or electrical appliance.

2. Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building.

3. Clear the room, building, or area of all occupants.

4. Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s instructions carefully.

5. If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire department.

Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas, which can be explosive, may be produced in a water heater that has not been used for two weeks or more. If the hot water has not been used for two weeks or more, prevent the possibility of damage or injury by turning on all hot water faucets and allowing them to run for several minutes. Do this before using any electrical appliance connected to the hot water system. This simple procedure will allow any built-up hydrogen gas to escape. Since the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame or appliance during this process.

Proper Installation:

Follow these steps to operate your MABE GE CLGG70214BAB washer:

Step 1: Add detergent, liquid bleach, and optional fabric softener to their respective dispensers.

Step 2: Add clothing to the washer basket.

Step 3: Select the load size and other wash options, then select the wash cycle.

Step 4: Close the lid and press START.

Start to wash: Place the load of clothes evenly around the infuser (preferably not over the infuser) so that the load is evenly distributed. The washing machine starts the cycle by turning the basket to accommodate the load for better cycle development.

Bulky Items: To wash bulky items properly, a special accommodation is suggested. Take one end and insert it in a spiral shape, trying to keep the clothes arranged around the basket until ending in the other extreme. If the clothes exceed the indicated limit, you must compress slightly inside, making sure the volume is below the limit.

For waterproof or water-resistant items, only use the Bulky cycle. Do not mix waterproof and non-waterproof items.

The Sanitized cycle is designed to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and germs found in clothing. It uses high-temperature water to ensure effectiveness. For the correct operation of this cycle, you must use hot water, so ensure there is hot water in your installation.

Place the detergent in the bottom of the tub first, then add the clothes. This cycle is ideal for high-cotton items like towels, jeans, sheets, and bathrobes. For best performance, set the “Temperature” and “Water Level” knobs to the “Automatic” position.

Your MABE GE CLGG70214BAB washer has several programs designed to clean and care for your clothes. Refer to the table below for details:

Selecting cycles: Turn the knob to select from the available programs depending on the type of clothes you are washing.

Temperatures: Select the water temperature for the wash and rinse cycles. In Automatic mode, the washer selects the right temperature based on the program.

Water level/Load size: There are 4 water levels and one automatic sensor. Select the one you need, or let the automatic sensor do it for you. This allows the system to automatically calculate the amount being washed.

Selecting functions (Personal touch mode): Press the select button repeatedly to choose independent functions of the wash cycle or the combination of stages you need (e.g., wash only, rinse only, wash and spin). The lights will turn on to indicate the selected functions.

Start/pause: Use this button to start operating your washer or to pause it once in operation. To resume, press the button again.

eco: This function activates water consumption to decrease the amount of water in the cycle.

Using the dispenser:

1. Make sure the dispenser is securely attached to the agitator.

2. Use only liquid diluted fabric softener. Pour the recommended amount into the dispenser. Never pour fabric softener directly on clothes, as it may stain them.

3. Add water to the dispenser until it reaches the maximum fill line.

4. Select the FABRIC SOFTENER setting on the control panel for proper dispersion.

Cleaning the dispenser:

1. Remove the dispenser from the top of the agitator.

2. Separate the dispenser cup from the cover by grasping the top and pushing down on the inside of the cup.

3. Soak both the dispenser cup and cover in a solution of 3.8 liters of warm water, 1/4 cup (60 ml) of heavy-duty liquid detergent, and 1 cup (240 ml) of bleach.

4. If necessary, loosen any dirt with a clean, soft cloth. Do not use a stiff brush.

5. Rinse and reassemble the dispenser. Place it back on the agitator.

The water fill dilutes chlorine bleach as the washer fills for the wash cycle.

1. Check clothing care labels for special instructions.

2. Measure liquid bleach carefully, following instructions on the bottle. Never pour undiluted liquid chlorine bleach directly onto clothes or into the wash basket. Do not pour powdered bleach into the bleach funnel.

3. Before starting the washer, pour the measured amount of bleach directly into the bleach funnel. Avoid splashing or overfilling. If you prefer powdered bleach, add it in the wash basket with the detergent.

Warning: Do not mix chlorine bleach with ammonia or acids such as vinegar and/or rust remover, as this can produce a toxic gas which may cause death.

Sorting wash loads: Sort by color (whites, lights, colors), soil level, fabric type (sturdy cottons, easy care, delicates), and whether the fabric produces lint (terry cloth) or collects lint (velveteen).

Proper use of detergent: Add detergent and turn on the washer before adding items so the detergent can work effectively. Using too little or too much detergent is a common cause of laundry problems. You can use less detergent if you have soft water, a smaller load, or a lightly soiled load.

Loading the washer: Load the washer with dry items, no higher than the top row of holes in the washer basket. When loading wet items, set the right water level for items to move freely. The water level should just cover the clothes. To add items after the washer has started, lift the lid and submerge them in the water. Make sure bulky items are distributed along the basket wall.

Wash basket: Leave the lid open after washing to allow moisture to evaporate. To clean the basket, use a clean soft cloth dampened with liquid detergent, then rinse. Do not use harsh or gritty cleaners.

Fill hoses: It is recommended to change hoses every 5 years.

Exterior: Immediately wipe off any spills with a damp cloth. Try not to hit the surface with sharp objects.

Long vacations: Be sure the water supply is shut off at the faucets. Drain all water from the hoses if the weather will be below freezing.

Automatic Drying Cycles:

During the drying cycle, the knob will not turn until the thermostat sensor indicates the clothes are dry; then the knob will automatically turn to the OFF position. Automatic cycles determine fabric dryness. Select “less dry” if you want clothes slightly damp at the end, and “more dry” if you want them drier.

– High: For regular to heavy cottons. For most loads, select OPTIMUM DRY.

– Sanitized: Do not use on delicate clothing like lycra or sports. Do not put in more than 6 clothes with laces or ribbons.

– Medium: For synthetics, blends, and items labeled permanent press.

– Low: For delicates, synthetics, and special care knits. For items labeled “tumble dry low”.

Timed Drying Cycles (manual):

The timer runs during the entire cycle for a selected time.

– Dewrinkle: For removing wrinkles from items that are clean and very lightly damp.

– Fluff: For freshening or removing lint from already dry clothing.

Start: Close the dryer door and press Start. Opening the door during operation will stop the dryer. To restart, close the door and select start to complete the cycle.

Exterior: Wipe or dust any spills with a damp cloth. Some laundry pretreatment soil and stain remover products may damage the control panel and finishes; keep these products away from the dryer.

The lint filter: Clean the filter before each use. Slide the grid out and move your fingers through the filter. Wax buildup may form due to fabric softeners; to remove this residue, wash the lint filter with soap and warm water. Dry completely before replacing. Do not operate the dryer without the lint filter in place. Have a qualified technician vacuum the lint from the dryer once a year.

The exhaust duct: Inspect and clean the exhaust duct at least once a year to prevent clogging. A partially clogged exhaust can lengthen drying time. Turn off electrical supply, disconnect the duct, vacuum it, and reconnect it.

The exhaust hood: With a mirror, make sure the inner flaps of the exhaust hood move freely when operating. Ensure there is no wildlife (birds, insects, etc.) nesting inside the duct or hood.
