To use the Sanitized cycle:

1. Ensure you have a hot water supply to your installation.

2. Put the detergent in the bottom of the tub, then add the clothes.

3. This cycle is best for high-cotton items like towels, jeans, sheets, and bathrobes.

4. For best performance, set the “Temperature” and “Water Level” knobs to the “Automatic” position.

1. Selecting cycles: Turn the knob to select from the available programs depending on the type of clothes you are washing.

2. Temperatures: Select the water temperature for the wash and rinse cycles.

3. Water level: There are 4 water levels and one automatic sensor. Select the one you need or let the automatic sensor do it for you.

4. Selecting functions: Press the select button repeatedly to choose independent functions of the wash cycle, such as wash only, rinse only, or wash and spin. The lights will turn on to indicate the selected functions.

5. Start/pause: Press this button to start the washer. Press it again to pause the operation. To resume, press the button again.

Selecting Temperature:

• Manual mode: Turn the Temperature knob to select the right temperature for your clothes.

• Automatic mode: The washer has an automatic sensor position. In this mode, the washer automatically selects the right temperature based on the program. For best results, use the automatic setting or follow the instructions on the fabric label.

Selecting Water Level:

• Manual mode: Turn the Water Level knob to select the water level according to the amount of laundry.

• Rinse only: This function drains and spins the wash. Then, it will fill the tub with clean water and provide rinse agitation. The water will not be drained at the end, and the rinse light will stay on.

• Only wash and rise: This function will fill the washer, provide wash agitation, and then drain the water. It will then fill the tub with clean water for a rinse agitation, but will not drain the water at the end of the cycle.

• Only wash and spin: This function will fill the washer, provide wash agitation, then drain the water and spin the clothes to complete the cycle.

• Only rise and spin: This function will drain the water, fill the tub with clean water for a rinse agitation, and then drain the water and spin the clothing.

The water fill dilutes chlorine bleach as the washer fills for the wash cycle.

Loading the washer: Load the washer with dry items, no higher than the top row of holes in the washer basket. When loading wet items, set the right water level for items to move freely. During these cycles, the knob will not turn until the thermostat sensor indicates the clothes are dry, then it will automatically turn to the off position. Select “less dry” if you want clothes slightly damp at the end, or “more dry” if you want them to be more dry.

• Easy Care: For wrinkle-free garments and items that need special care.

• Sanitized: Do not use for delicate clothing like lycra or sports. Do not put in more than 6 clothes with laces or ribbons. This cycle is for garments with cotton and most white clothes.

• Cottons: For garments with cotton and most white garments.

• Delicates: For mostly synthetic clothes, small thin items, or underwear that require special care.

Timed Drying Cycles (manual):

The timer runs for the entire selected time.

• Dewrinkle: For removing wrinkles from items that are clean and very lightly damp.

• Fluff: For freshening or removing lint from already dry clothing.

To start any cycle, close the dryer door and press start. Opening the door will stop the dryer. To restart, close the door and select start again.

• Exterior: Wipe or dust any spills with a damp cloth.

• The lint filter: Clean the filter before each use. Slide the grid out and move your fingers through the filter. If wax buildup from fabric softeners occurs, wash the lint filter with soap and warm water. Dry it completely before replacing. Do not operate the dryer without the lint filter in place.

Too many suds: This is caused by using too much detergent. Measure detergent carefully. Use less soap if you have soft water, a smaller load, or a lightly soiled load.

Water leaks:

• Check if fill hoses or the drain hose are improperly connected. Make sure hose connections are tight at faucets and the end of the drain hose is correctly inserted and secured.

• The household drain may be clogged. You may need to call a plumber.

• There may be constant pressure on hoses. Tighten hoses at the faucets and turn the water off after each use. Fill hoses should be replaced every 5 years.

• The drain hose may be kinked or improperly connected. Straighten the drain hose and make sure the washer is not sitting on it. The top of the drain outlet should be less than 8 ft (2.5 m) above the floor.

• Overdrying: Try a fabric softener and set to LESS DRY or DAMP DRY.

• Synthetics, permanent press, and blends can cause static: Try a fabric softener.

Clothes shrink:

• Some fabrics shrink naturally when washed. To avoid shrinkage, follow garment care labels exactly. Some items may be pressed back into shape after drying. If you are concerned about shrinkage for a particular item, do not wash or dry it.
