The minimum requirements for installing your MABE RME1436V are as follows:

Before connecting your MABE RME1436V, follow these general instructions:

Clean the inside of your refrigerator with a soft cloth, water and neutral soap.

Let it operate empty and with the doors closed for at least 4 hours before storing food. This will allow the refrigerator to reach the desired temperature.

The temperature inside your refrigerator will vary depending on the amount of food stored and how often the door is opened.

If you wish to place your refrigerator in another location, disconnect it before moving. Then, wait for at least 30 minutes before reconnecting to the electrical power.

To ensure proper installation of your MABE RME1436V, please adhere to the following:

Do not place the refrigerator near heat sources like stoves, heaters, or in places where it is exposed to direct sunlight, as this will affect its performance.

If the location is humid, make sure there is good ventilation.

Do not place the refrigerator against the wall.

Before inserting the plug into the outlet, be sure the interior of your refrigerator is dry.

Insert and screw so that it rests firmly on the floor. If necessary, use shims.

Once you have located your refrigerator in the correct position, level it by adjusting the leveling feet (located on the front part) by turning them until the refrigerator slightly backwards. Two persons will be needed to load the refrigerator, one in the back and the other in the front to adjust the leveling feet.

1. Your electrical installation is provided with a polarized power cord-type plug and with a grounding terminal. The plug must be connected to a polarized outlet that must be duly installed and grounded in accordance with all local standards and regulations.

2. If your electrical installation is not equipped with this kind of outlet, obtain one, as well as an automatic circuit breaker for your refrigerator, from any specialized electrical shop. This breaker must be 15A. It must be a dedicated, single-use breaker for your refrigerator only.

3. Connect your refrigerator to the cited power outlet. We strongly recommend against the use of extension cords.

4. This refrigerator has been carefully designed for domestic use. Any other use will be at your own risk. If you are living in an area where power surges, take the following precautions:

• Connect your refrigerator to a power outlet with grounding.

• Avoid the use of extension cords or plug adapters.

• In areas where there are power surges, use an automatic voltage regulator that has the correct capacity for your refrigerator.

• Make sure the voltage for the refrigerator is the one that corresponds to your model.

• Make sure that the regulator can withstand the power surges that occur in your area.

• To avoid electrical shocks, follow these recommendations:

• To ground the circuit, follow the grounding regulations and call a qualified electrician.

• Do not remove the grounding plug, and if it is modified by the manufacturer, an authorized service agent or a qualified electrician.

The refrigerator temperature control knob is located inside the compartment, to the right. Use this knob to set the desired coldness level.

The interior temperature and cold may vary depending on the ambient temperature. In the hot months, the control may need to be adjusted to a colder setting. In the cold months, the interior temperature and cold may need to be increased. It is not recommended to operate the refrigerator at its maximum setting for more than 24 hours.

Your MABE RME1436V is equipped with an additional control (Air Regulator) which regulates the amount of cold air that flows between the fresh food compartment and the freezer compartment. This control is located on the back of the freezer compartment. To adjust it, use a coin in the central groove.

If you wish to adjust it, use a coin inserted in the central groove. When the freezer door is opened, less cold will be generated in the freezer compartment. If you wish to freeze faster, turn the regulator to the Max position, since the cold will be more direct and intense. Once you have reached the desired cold, return the regulator to its normal position.

1. Do not over-load the refrigerator with food, leave space between items and use containers to better preserve your food. When the refrigerator has reached the correct temperature, you may insert food.

2. To unmold, turn the knob of the ice trays clockwise until the ice is released.

3. It is not necessary to open the lid of the trays to unmold the ice. The ice will fall on the tray, located at the bottom of the container. Pull out the drawer to use the ice.

1. To re-insert the cassette, align it to the ice cubes holder. It must be in its place and carefully aligned to ensure it can slide correctly.

2. At the same time, there will be ice cubes ready in the drawer. To use them, pull out the drawer. Once the ice cubes fall into the drawer, turn the knob to its original position.

3. To fill the ice trays again, repeat the process. To make more ice cubes, repeat the process.

First, unplug the refrigerator before cleaning or starting any maintenance work. It is recommended to clean your refrigerator once a month. Clean the interior of the refrigerator using a technical process.

To clean your refrigerator:

• Use a soft sponge or a damp cloth with mild soap. Rinse and dry well with a clean, soft cloth.

• Do not use abrasive objects or products, steel-wool pads, or thinners, to clean the refrigerator interior.

• Never use steam or sharp or pointed objects which may scratch your refrigerator, as this may damage its functionality.

• To clean the condenser (on models that apply), use a brush, cloth or sponge to avoid dust accumulation.

• Clean the door gaskets using a soft sponge and mild soap.

To remove the shelf, lift and rotate upward to pull and release it. To replace the upper hook and then lower until the shelf fits in the liners. Push to secure the shelf in its position.

To remove the shelf for Easy Ice system, located at the top left side inside the freezer compartment:

How to remove the ice cube cassette:

1. To clean it, pull out until it stops. Then rotate the ice trays and, with the drawer where the ice is deposited once it is unmolded.

2. Once the ice is unmolded, rotate the knobs back to their original position to prevent them from damaging the system knobs and pull it outwards until it is released from the refrigerator.

How to replace the ice cube cassette:

1. Once the cassette is out, place it on a flat surface and press the sides of the drawer gently to remove the lid. The lid will be more difficult to unmold the ice.

1. To replace the light bulb, disconnect the refrigerator from the power outlet.

2. Remove the shelves by pressing the rear cover inwards while moving the shelf out of the refrigerator. You might have to remove the top shelf in order to gain access to the light bulb and the cover.

3. Remove the old light bulb from the socket.

4. Replace light bulb with one of the same electrical characteristics (voltage and watts), of the same size and shape.

5. Re-insert the cover, first inserting the lower tabs, then those on the side, and pushing the lower cover part upwards until it “clicks”.

• We recommend storing food in containers with lids, wrapped in foil or stored in air-tight plastic bags to preserve its characteristics.

• Do not introduce hot foods into the refrigerator or freezer. You must wait until they have cooled down to room temperature.

• Avoid opening the doors too often or for too long.

• Make sure the doors are correctly closed.

• Soft drinks must be placed in the coolers.

• For short periods of absence, your refrigerator may remain connected, but be aware that if there is a power outage your food could be damaged.

• For long periods of absence, disconnect the refrigerator, empty it, clean it and dry it well. Leave the doors slightly ajar to avoid bad odors.

• If you need to place the refrigerator in a horizontal position in order to transport it, let it sit in its normal, vertical position for at least 30 minutes before reconnecting it.

• You may have to move your refrigerator to insert the leveling screws as far as they will go.

Heating of zones near the doors:

Your refrigerator is equipped with a device that prevents condensation. The heating does not represent a malfunction. If the zone is too hot to the touch, or if the condensation persists, this may be due to poor air circulation, door gaskets with poor sealing or due to excessive humidity. In these cases, slight condensation may form. Dry with a soft cloth.

Normal operating sounds:

Cracking sound: It is a characteristic sound of gas expansion.

Expansion sound: It is heard when the ice breaks. It is the same noise heard when ice trays are removed from the freezer compartment of a no-frost refrigerator.

Fluid noise: Characteristic of the refrigerant fluid when circulating in the refrigerator.

Gas crushing sound: It is characteristic sound of gas expansion in the refrigeration system and is proof that the system is operating correctly.

Bubbling of water: It is the sound of water defrosting. It occurs when the refrigerator is going through defrosting process.

Clicks: This sound is produced by the bimetal thermostat control, and indicates the cooling system is operating.

Electrical surge: This noise is the characteristic sound of bubbling water during the defrosting process. It occurs when the ice is melting.

Problems with electrical supply:

The problem is normally corrected in a few hours. The interior temperature will be maintained for a few hours. Keep the doors closed to avoid losing the cold. If problem persists for more than 6 hours we suggest you place ice bags onto both compartments to keep food cool.
