The PROMASTER 2705 ULTRASOFT 914B includes an AC power cord. Batteries are optional for portability. If you choose to use batteries, you will also need an external charger, as the light itself cannot charge batteries. It can only draw power from them. You must choose one power source at a time; do not connect the AC power cord while also using batteries.

Acceptable battery types are NP-F750, NP-F770, & NP-F970, rated at 4,400 mAh or higher capacity. For best operation and results, be sure to use two NP-F type batteries with at least 4,400mAh capacity per battery. Two batteries are required as the unit will not operate with just one.

The PROMASTER 2705 ULTRASOFT 914B kit includes a light stand adapter and a run & gun handle. You can attach either accessory to the back of the panel by sliding it into the Stand/Handle Mounting Slot (8) until it ‘clicks’ into place. To ensure it is securely mounted, tug on it to check that it will not slide back out. To remove an accessory, press and hold the button on its back while pulling it out of the mounting slot. The light stand adapter is compatible with most common light stands, and the run & gun handle is for hand-holding the light.

To power up the PROMASTER 2705 ULTRASOFT 914B, you can either connect it to a wall outlet using the included AC Power Adapter and the DC Input Socket (3) on the back of the light, or slide two NP-F type batteries into the two Optional Battery Locations (2) on the back. After connecting the power source, slide the Power Switch (5) to the ON position.

Note: When using batteries, two are required for the unit to operate. Use two NP-F type batteries with at least 4,400mAh capacity per battery for best results.

To adjust the brightness of the PROMASTER 2705 ULTRASOFT 914B, rotate the Dimmer/Channel Dial (6). The LCD Display (4) will show the current light output setting as a percentage from 10% to 100%. This setting appears next to “DIM” on the display.

To adjust the color temperature of the PROMASTER 2705 ULTRASOFT 914B, rotate the Color Temperature Dial (7). The LCD Display (4) will show the current color temperature setting in kelvin degrees (K). This setting appears next to “CCT.” on the display.

To select a channel for use with the remote, press and hold the Dimmer/Channel Dial (6) for approximately 2 seconds, until the number next to “CH.” is highlighted on the LCD Display. Then, rotate the Dimmer/Channel Dial (6) to change the channel to a number between 01 and 99.

When you are finished, briefly press the Dimmer/Channel Dial (6) to exit channel select mode and return to brightness adjustment mode. If you change the channel and do nothing for about 5 seconds, the light will save the change and automatically exit the channel select mode.

A small icon that looks like a battery appears in the upper, right corner of the LCD Display (4) on the PROMASTER 2705 ULTRASOFT 914B. The bars within this icon show the approximate remaining battery life. As the bars disappear, the batteries are becoming drained. You can ignore this icon when powering the light by AC power.

To power down the PROMASTER 2705 ULTRASOFT 914B, slide the Power Switch (5) to the OFF position. Always turn the light off before disconnecting it from AC power or removing batteries. When disconnecting from AC power, unplug the power adapter from the AC wall outlet first. Then you may disconnect the cable from the DC Input Socket (3) on the light.
