To use full-screen navigation gestures on your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9, first go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation and make sure Gestures is selected. The basic gestures are:

Return to the previous screen: Swipe inward from the left or right edge of the screen.

Return to the home screen: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.

Access multitasking screen: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and hold.

Switch apps: You can either swipe along the bottom edge of the screen or swipe in an arc along the bottom edge of the screen. To use the “swipe along the bottom” feature, ensure Slide across bottom to switch apps is turned on in the System navigation settings.

Your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 supports several additional gestures for quick access to functions:

Enter home screen editing mode: Pinch with two fingers on the home screen.

Enable lockscreen quick access panel: While the screen is locked, tap the screen and swipe up from the bottom with one finger.

Open Control Center: Swipe down from the top right of the screen.

Open Notification Center and search: Swipe down from the top middle or left of the screen.

Open global search page: Swipe down from the center of the screen.

The physical buttons on your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 perform the following actions:

Power off/Restart: Long press the power button until the Power off and Restart menus appear. Tap the corresponding menu option.

Volume up: Press the volume up button.

Volume down: Press the volume down button.

Screenshot: Press the volume down button and the power button simultaneously.

Forcefully restart: If your phone is not working or turning off normally, press and hold the Volume down and Power buttons for more than 10 seconds to force a restart.

You can choose between gesture-based navigation and a traditional three-key navigation bar on your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9.

To Use Gestures:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation and select Gestures.

2. You can then use swipes to navigate: swipe from the edge to go back, swipe up from the bottom to go home, and swipe up and hold to access multitasking.

To Use Three-key Navigation:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation and select Three-key navigation.

2. This will enable the classic navigation bar at the bottom of the screen with buttons for Back, Home, and Recent tasks.

To Use the Navigation Dock:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation > More, and enable Navigation dock.

2. A floating dock will appear that you can drag to your desired position. You can touch it to go back, touch and hold to go home, or touch, hold, and swipe to view recent tasks.

You can use the Device Clone feature to move basic data like contacts, calendar, images, and videos from your old phone to your new HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9.

1. On your new HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9, open the Device Clone app. Alternatively, go to Settings > System & updates > Device Clone, touch This is the new device, then select the old device type.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install Device Clone on your old device.

3. On your old device, open the Device Clone app and touch This is the old device. Follow the instructions to connect your old device with your new phone, either by scanning a QR code or connecting manually.

4. On your old device, select the data you want to clone, then touch Transfer to begin the process.

Note: Device Clone is available on phones running Android 7.0 or later, or iOS 8.0 or later.

You can customize how you lock and unlock your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9.

Lock the Screen:

• Press the Power button.

• Pinch two fingers on the home screen, tap Cards, go to Classic widgets > Quick widgets, and add the Screen Lock tool to your home screen. Tap it to lock the screen.

Unlock Methods:

• Password: Swipe up from the middle of the screen and enter your lock screen password.

• Face Unlock: Turn on the screen and align it with your face.

• Fingerprint Unlock: Once the screen is on, touch the fingerprint icon on the screen with an enrolled finger.

Other Lock Screen Features:

• Set Screen Timeout: Go to Settings > Display & brightness > Sleep and select a timeout period.

• Display Signature: Go to Settings > Home screen & style, touch Lock screen signature, and type your desired text.

• Launch apps: From the lock screen, you can swipe up on the Camera icon to open the camera, or swipe up from the bottom edge to access the quick operation panel for tools like Flashlight and Calculator.

Connecting to Mobile Data:

Ensure mobile data is available on your SIM card. You can connect using one of these methods:

• Swipe down from the top right of the screen to open the Control Center and turn on Mobile data.

• Go to Settings > Mobile network > Mobile data, and enable Mobile data.

Enabling 5G:

5G offers higher data transfer rates and shorter latency. When two SIM cards are inserted, your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 supports dual card 5G by default.

1. Confirm that your SIM card supports 5G and that the service is enabled by your network carrier.

2. If you have two SIM cards inserted, go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management and set SIM 1 or SIM 2 as the default card for data.

Note: 5G services are only available in some countries and regions and may be affected by network environments.

If your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 has two SIM cards inserted, you can configure several settings for easier management.

Set Default SIMs: Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management to set SIM 1 or SIM 2 as the default for mobile data or calls.

Name Your SIM Cards: In the SIM management screen, touch the edit icon to name your SIM cards, for example, “Work” and “Personal”.

Enable Call Forwarding Between SIMs: This feature forwards calls to your other SIM if one is unreachable. Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management > Call forwarding between SIMs and select a forwarding mode. This feature requires carrier support.

Quickly Switch Data SIM: Swipe down to open the Control Center, ensure Mobile data is on, then touch the text under the Mobile data icon. A prompt will appear allowing you to select a SIM card for data.

You can share your phone’s mobile data or Wi-Fi connection with other devices using several methods.

Via Personal Hotspot:

1. Go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot and enable Personal hotspot.

2. On this screen, you can also set the device name, password, view connected devices, and set a data limit.

Via Bluetooth Tethering:

1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, enable Bluetooth and pair your phone with the other device.

2. On your phone, go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More, and enable Bluetooth tethering.

3. On the paired device’s Bluetooth settings, enable Internet access for your phone.

Via USB Tethering:

1. Connect your phone to a computer using a USB cable.

2. On your phone, go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More, and enable USB tethering.

The status bar on your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 displays icons to provide information about the phone’s status. The appearance of some icons may vary by region or carrier.

Check Notifications:

Unlock your screen and swipe down from the top middle or left of the screen to open the Notification Center and view your messages.

Clear Notifications:

• To clear a single notification, swipe it right.

• To clear all notifications, tap the trash can icon at the bottom of the Notification Center.

Manage Notifications for an App:

To avoid being disturbed, you can change how an app sends notifications. Swipe left on a notification you want to process, tap the settings gear icon, and you can select:

• USE GENTLE NOTIFICATIONS: Notifications will appear without sound or vibration.

• DISABLE NOTIFICATIONS: Stop receiving notifications from that app.

• More settings: Access more detailed notification options for the app.

Set Display Style of Notification Panel on Lock Screen:

Go to Settings > Notifications & status bar and in the LOCK SCREEN area, you can choose how notifications are displayed: by Count, as a List, or in a Stack.

You can control the volume and sound modes on your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 in several ways:

Using Volume Buttons: Press the Volume up or down button on the side of the phone.

Using the Control Center: Swipe down from the top right of the screen to open the Control Center. Tap the Sound, Silent, or Vibration icon to switch between modes.

Setting Default Volume Levels: Go to Settings > Sounds & vibration. Here you can set individual volume levels for Ring, Notifications, Alarms, Music/Videos/Games, and Calls.

Muting an Incoming Call: When your phone rings, you can press the Power button to mute it.

Flip to Mute: To enable this, go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Mute ringtone/Reduce volume and ensure Flip to mute ringtone is turned on. When you receive a call, flipping the phone over will mute it.

Change Ringtone and Vibration: Go to Settings > Sounds & vibration and tap Phone ringtone or Notification tone to select a new sound or tap Vibration to choose a new pattern.

Precautions for Charging:

• Always use the standard adapter and USB cable that came with your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9.

• If moisture is detected in the USB port, the phone will activate safety measures and limit charging. Disconnect the phone and wait for the port to dry.

• Do not cover your phone or charger during charging.

• If your phone feels hot, stop charging and disable some features.

• Do not use your phone while it is charging.

How to Charge:

• With the included charger: Use the provided USB cable and adapter to connect your phone to a power socket.

• With a wireless charger: Place your phone in the center of a compatible wireless charging dock with the screen facing up. You will hear a sound indicating that charging has started.

• With a PC: Connect your phone to a PC with a USB cable. When the “Use USB to” dialog box appears, select Charge only.

Magic Capsule:

The Magic Capsule is a dynamic display at the top of the screen that shows ongoing tasks, such as a timer running in the Clock app or a recording in the Recorder app. You can tap the capsule to expand it, view detailed status, or perform quick operations. It appears automatically when you initiate a supported real-time task and return to the home screen.

Magic Portal:

Magic Portal allows you to quickly access services by dragging content to the edge of the screen.

1. Enable it: Go to Settings > Assistant > Magic Portal and turn on the switch.

2. Use it: Press and hold content on the screen (like text, an image, or a file) and drag it towards the left or right edge. The Magic Portal will appear with suggested apps or services (e.g., drag an address to a map app for navigation, or an image to a social media app for sharing).

3. Personalize it: In the Magic Portal settings, you can tap Custom services to add recommended services to appear first.

HONOR Connect is a feature on your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 that allows seamless collaboration between your devices (like tablets and PCs) that are logged in with the same HONOR ID. It enables services to transfer across devices easily. Key features include:

• Connected Apps: Transfer an app you are working on from one device to another without interruption.

• Connected Call: Receive or make phone calls on your tablet or PC.

• Connected Notification: View and manage phone notifications on your other devices.

• Connected Input: Use your computer or tablet’s keyboard and mouse to control your phone and drag & drop files between them.

• Connected Camera: Use your phone’s camera as a webcam for your PC.

• Tethering: Easily share your phone’s mobile data with nearby tablets or PCs without entering a password.

To use HONOR Connect, ensure all devices are updated, logged into the same HONOR ID, and have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. You can manage settings by going to Settings > HONOR Connect.

You can connect your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 to a PC for screen sharing, file transfers, and cross-device control.

For HONOR PCs (with PC Manager):

• Connect: You can connect via HONOR Share OneHop (tapping the NFC area of your phone to the PC’s HONOR Share label), Bluetooth search within PC Manager, or by using a USB cable.

• Features: Once connected, you can view and control your phone’s screen on the PC, drag and drop files between devices, open phone files with PC apps, and even answer phone calls on your PC.

For non-HONOR Windows PCs:

• Connect: On your phone, open the Control Center and tap Link to Windows, or go to Settings > More connections > Link to Windows. Follow the prompts on your phone and PC to complete the connection using your Microsoft account.

• Features: This allows you to manage phone notifications, text messages, calls, and access your recent photos and phone apps directly on your Windows PC through the Phone Link app.

HONOR Share is a wireless sharing technology for quickly transferring files between devices.

Enable HONOR Share:

• Swipe down to open the Control Center and turn on HONOR Share.

• Go to Settings > More connections > HONOR Share to enable it.

Share Files Between Phones:

1. On the receiving device, enable HONOR Share.

2. On your sending device, touch and hold to select a file or album, then tap the share icon.

3. Tap HONOR Share, then tap the name of the receiving device.

4. On the receiving device, tap ACCEPT.

Share Files Between Your Phone and Computer:

1. Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the PC.

2. Enable HONOR Share on your phone.

3. Ensure PC Manager is running on the PC with HONOR Share enabled and “Allow discovery by other devices” is on.

4. On your phone, select a file, tap share, choose HONOR Share, and select your PC’s name from the list.

Your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 camera offers various modes for different scenarios:

• Portrait Mode: Enhances facial features and blurs the background. Open Camera and select the PORTRAIT mode. You can adjust beauty effects and the level of background blur (bokeh).

• Night Mode: Takes sharper and brighter photos in low light. Select Night mode and hold the phone steady while it captures the image over a few seconds.

• Aperture Mode: Shoots photos with a blurred background, ideal for subjects within 2 meters. Select APERTURE mode and adjust the aperture slider to control the blur effect.

• Super Macro: For close-up shots of small objects. Go to Camera > MORE and select Super macro mode.

• Panorama: Stitches multiple photos together for a wide landscape shot. Go to Camera > MORE, select Panorama, and follow the on-screen guide to pan the camera across the scene.

• Pro Mode: Gives you manual control over settings like ISO, shutter speed, exposure compensation (EV), focus, and white balance for professional-level photos.

To record a video, open Camera and select the VIDEO mode. Your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 offers several advanced video features:

• Shoot 4K UHD Videos: In Video mode, tap the settings icon and go to Resolution to select [16:9] 4K or [21:9] 4K. Note that beauty mode and filters are not supported in 4K.

• Multi-Video Recording: This mode lets you record using different camera combinations simultaneously (e.g., front and rear cameras in a split screen). Select MULTI-VIDEO from the camera modes to use it.

• Solo Cut Mode: This mode generates two separate HD videos simultaneously: a full-scene video and a close-up “solo cut” video that automatically tracks a selected person. Go to Camera > MORE and tap the Solo Cut icon to enable it.

• Slow-Mo Videos: Capture fleeting moments in detail. Go to Camera > MORE and select Slow-mo mode. You can choose different speeds for the slow-motion effect.

• Time-Lapse: Condense a long period into a short video, perfect for capturing clouds or blooming flowers. Go to Camera > MORE and select TIME-LAPSE.

The Gallery app on your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 has built-in editing tools.

Editing Photos:

1. Open Gallery, touch the photo you want to edit, then touch the edit icon.

2. You can perform various edits: Crop and rotate, add a Filter, Adjust brightness and contrast, add Stickers or Watermarks, or apply a Mosaic to pixelate parts of the image.

3. Tap Save when you are finished.

Editing Videos (HONOR Clip):

1. Open Gallery, go to Albums, and select a video to edit. Tap the edit icon to open HONOR Clip.

2. You can: select a theme Template, Edit clips to trim them, apply Filters, add background Music, add Text or other Effects.

3. When you finish editing, you can preview the video and then tap Export to save it.

Create a Collage:

In Gallery, long-press to select multiple images, then tap Create > Collage. Choose a template and adjust the images as needed.

The Gallery app provides several ways to organize your media:

• Add Albums: On the Albums tab, touch the plus icon, name the album, and then add photos and videos to it.

• Move Photos and Videos: Open an album, touch and hold to select items, then touch Move and select the destination album.

• Hide Albums: If you have private pictures you don’t want to show, open an album, select the items, and tap More > Hide > OK. You can view hidden items by tapping the menu on the Albums page and selecting Hidden items.

• Delete and Recover: Deleted photos and videos are moved to the Recently deleted album for a period before being permanently erased. You can restore them from this album.

• Add to Favorites: Open a photo or video and touch the heart icon to add it to the My favorites album for easy access.

Take a Screenshot:

• Key Combination: Press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons simultaneously.

• Shortcut: Swipe down from the top right to open the Control Center and tap the Screenshot icon.

• Knuckle Gesture: Knock the screen twice in quick succession with one knuckle. (Ensure Knuckle screenshots is enabled in Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Screenshot/Global Favorites).

• Partial Screenshot: Knock and hold on the screen with a knuckle, then draw an outline around the area you want to capture.

• Scrolling Screenshot: After taking a regular screenshot, a thumbnail will appear. Swipe down on the thumbnail or tap Scrollshot to capture a long screenshot.

Record the Screen:

• Key Combination: Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons simultaneously.

• Shortcut: Open the Control Center and tap Screen Recorder.

• Knuckle Gesture: Knock the screen twice with two knuckles. (Ensure Record screen is enabled in gesture settings).

To stop recording, touch the timer at the top of the screen. The recording will be saved to Gallery.

Multi-Window allows for easier multitasking. First, ensure it is enabled in Settings > Accessibility features > Multi-Window.

Floating Windows:

1. Swipe inwards from the left or right edge of the screen and hold to bring up the Multi-Window dock.

2. Tap an app icon in the dock to open it in a floating window.

3. You can resize the window by dragging its corners, move it by dragging the bar at the top, or minimize it to a floating ball by dragging it to the side of the screen.

Split-screen Mode:

1. While using an app in full screen, swipe inwards from the edge to open the Multi-Window dock.

2. Drag an app icon from the dock onto the screen to enter split-screen mode.

3. You can drag the divider to adjust the window size or drag it to the edge of the screen to exit.

You can also drag and drop images, text, and documents between apps when using Multi-Window.

Add a Fingerprint:

1. Go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Fingerprint ID. Follow the prompts to set or enter your lock screen password.

2. Tap New fingerprint > ADD FINGERPRINT.

3. Place your finger on the in-screen fingerprint sensing area. Press and release, repeating with different sections of your fingertip until enrollment is complete.

4. Tap OK.

You can also use your fingerprint to access a locked App or your Safe (in Files).

Enroll Facial Data:

1. Go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Face Recognition, and enter your lock screen password.

2. Select Enable raise to wake for a smoother experience.

3. Touch GET STARTED and follow the onscreen instructions to enroll your facial data by positioning your face within the frame.

After setup, you can use face recognition to unlock your device or access App Lock.

Your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 offers several modes to manage power consumption.

• Power Saving mode: This mode reduces power consumption by disabling some functions, restricting background apps, and weakening visual effects. It is recommended when your battery is below 20%. To enable it, go to Settings > Battery and toggle on Power Saving mode.

• Ultra Power Saving mode: This provides the longest standby time by disabling most features and allowing only basic functions like calls and messages. You can add a few essential apps for emergency use. To enable it, go to Settings > Battery and toggle on Ultra Power Saving mode.

• Performance mode: This mode adjusts settings for maximum performance, which will cause the battery to drain more quickly. It should only be used when the battery has sufficient power. Go to Settings > Battery and enable Performance mode.

App Twin allows you to log in to two different accounts for the same app (like WhatsApp or Facebook) simultaneously. This helps separate your work and personal life.

To enable it, go to Settings > Apps > App Twin and toggle on the switch for a supported app. A second icon for that app will be created on your home screen.

Note: Only certain apps support App Twin. The feature is not available if you have enabled PrivateSpace or added multiple users.

PrivateSpace creates a separate, hidden space on your phone to store private data and apps, accessible only with a specific fingerprint or password.

Enable and Access PrivateSpace:

1. Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Device & data protection > PrivateSpace > Enable and follow the instructions to create it and set a password.

2. You can access it from the lock screen using its dedicated password/fingerprint, or from the MainSpace by going to the PrivateSpace settings and tapping LOG IN.

Transfer Files:

In PrivateSpace, go to Settings > Security & privacy > Device & data protection > PrivateSpace and select MainSpace to PrivateSpace or PrivateSpace to MainSpace to move files between the two spaces.

Delete PrivateSpace:

Deleting PrivateSpace will erase all apps and data within it permanently. You can delete it from either the MainSpace settings or within the PrivateSpace settings.

Your HONOR 200 5G ELI-NX9 includes a range of accessibility features found under Settings > Accessibility features > Accessibility.

• TalkBack: A screen reader that provides spoken feedback so you can use your device without looking at the screen.

• Select-to-Speak: Allows you to select text on your screen and have it read aloud.

• Magnification gestures: Zoom in on the screen by tapping it three times with one finger.

• Color correction / Color inversion: Adjusts screen colors to help people with poor eyesight or color blindness see content more easily.

• One-Handed mode: Shrinks the screen to a mini-screen view for easier use with one hand.

• Accessibility shortcut: Set a feature to be enabled by holding the volume up and down keys for 3 seconds.

When an update is available, your phone will prompt you to download and install it. You can also manually check for updates.

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > Software update, and touch Check for updates.

2. If an update is available, you can download and install it immediately. It is recommended to connect to a Wi-Fi network to avoid data usage.

3. You can also enable automatic updates. On the Software update screen, touch the settings icon and enable Auto-download over Wi-Fi and Update overnight. Your phone will then automatically update and restart between 02:00 – 04:00.

Before updating, it is recommended to back up your user data.

You can reset various settings on your phone by going to Settings > System & updates > Reset.

• Reset network settings: This will reset your Wi-Fi, mobile data network, and Bluetooth settings. It will not delete any other data.

• Reset all settings: This will restore network settings, lock screen password, and home screen layout, but will not delete your files or data like photos and music.

• Reset phone (Factory Reset): This operation will erase all data on your phone’s internal storage, including your accounts, app data, system settings, installed apps, music, and images. Make sure to back up your data before performing a factory reset.
