The GODOX IFLASH IT22 S is a professional photographic equipment, to be operated by professional personnel only. The following basic safety precautions must be followed when using this product:

1. Carefully read and fully understand the instruction manual before use and strictly follow the safety instructions.

2. This product is a professional lighting fixture; children are prohibited from using it. Children must be closely supervised by adults when approaching the fixture.

3. This is not an ordinary lighting fixture and must not be used for general illumination. Anyone with a history of eye damage or sensitivity should avoid using this fixture or looking directly at it.

4. Extreme caution must be exercised when using it; do not touch high-temperature parts such as flash tubes to avoid burns.

5. Do not point the flash directly at the eyes (especially a baby’s eyes) under any circumstances, as this could impair vision in a short time. Turn off immediately if discomfort occurs, stop using, and seek medical attention promptly.

6. If the flash tube is damaged, stop using it immediately and contact the manufacturer, service agent, or qualified repair personnel for a replacement.

7. Do not use damaged equipment or accessories. Allow professional repair technicians to inspect and confirm normal operation before continuing use after repairs.

8. Stop using immediately if the product shell is cracked due to falling, squeezing, or strong impact, to avoid touching the internal electronic components and getting an electric shock.

9. This device is not waterproof. Keep it dry and avoid immersing it in water or other liquids. It should be installed in a ventilated and dry location and avoid using in rainy, humid, dusty, or overheated environments. Do not place items above the device or allow liquids to flow into it.

Please make sure the flash and camera are powered off before installing and disassembling.

Installing: Insert the camera flash into the camera hot shoe base parallelly until it’s firmly locked.

Disassembling: Press and hold the detach button, then take off the flash from the camera hot shoe base parallelly.

Power on: Press and hold the power switch button until the screen lights up.

Power Off: Press and hold the power switch button until the screen blacks out.

Testing: Press the test button after powering on to fire a testing flash.

Press the MODE button to switch to TTL mode; the <TTL> icon will be displayed on the panel.

Press the – button/+ button to adjust the Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC) value among ±3 steps with a ±1/3 increment. Press and hold the buttons to achieve quick adjustment.

The <MAX> icon will be displayed on the panel in max flash output power; please adjust the camera parameters in case of underexposure.

Press the MODE button to switch to M mode; the <M> icon will be displayed on the panel.

Press the – button/+ button to adjust the flash power from 1/32 to 1/1 full power with a ±1/3 increment. Press and hold the buttons to achieve quick adjustment.

1. If the GODOX IFLASH IT22 S has an abnormality, you can press and hold the – button and + button at the same time to reset the device, then press and hold the power switch button to reboot.

2. When not connected to USB, press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds to turn the sleep function on or off.

3. When connected to USB, press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds to enter firmware upgrade mode.

The battery level is indicated by the battery icon on the display. Three grids mean a full battery level. Please charge the battery in time when only one grid remains.

Yes, the GODOX IFLASH IT22 S will be automatically powered off when idling for 8 hours unconnected to a camera in sleep mode.

To avoid overheating and deteriorating the flash head, do not fire more than 40 continuous flashes in fast succession at 1/1 full power. If you fire more flashes than the recommended amount in short intervals, the inner over-temperature protection function may be activated, making the recycling time over 10 seconds. If this occurs, allow a rest time of about 10 minutes, and the flash unit will then return to normal.

When the over-temperature protection is started, an icon is shown on the screen.

• Breakage or damage caused by inappropriate usage, maintenance or preservation, such as improper packing, improper usage, improper plugging in/out external equipment, falling off or squeezing by external force, contacting or exposing to the improper temperature, solvent, acid, base, flooding and damp environments, etc.

• Breakage or damage caused by non-authorized institution or staff in the process of installation, maintenance, alternation, addition and detachment.

• The original identifying information of product or accessory is modified, alternated, or removed.

• Breakage or damage caused by using illegally authorized, nonstandard or non-public released software.

• Breakage or damage caused by force majeure or accident.

• Breakage or damage that could not be attributed to the product itself.

The normal discoloration, abrasion and consumption are not the breakage within the maintenance scope.
