After unpacking your AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL-R, inspect all equipment for completeness. The package should contain:

If anything is missing or damaged, you should immediately contact the returns department.

To power the AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL-R with a DC source, follow these steps:

1. Wire a dedicated 12-24 VDC power source to the DC connector on the rear of the C-more touch panel.

2. Include wiring for the ground terminal to a proper equipment ground.

3. Turn on the power source and check the LED status indicators on the front and rear of the C-more touch panel for proper indication.

Note: Use 60 / 75°C copper conductors only, 12 – 24 AWG.

To use AC power, you must first install a C-more AC/DC Power Adapter (p/n EA-AC) to the rear of the touch panel.

1. Wire an AC voltage source of 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, to its AC connector. A recommended 3.0A time delay fuse (ADC p/n: MDL3) should be used.

2. Turn on the power source and check the LED status indicators on the front and rear of the C-more touch panel for proper indication.

When installing the touch panel in an enclosure or cabinet, there shall be a minimum clearance of 4 inches from the top, bottom, and sides, and 1.72 inches from the rear.

Yes, if the AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL-R is mounted off the vertical plane facing upward, the temperature shall be derated as follows. Other panel models may be mounted at any angle without derating consideration.

For EA9-T15CL-R and EA9-T15CL models:

• Angle 0° to -15°: Temp 0 to 45 °C

• Angle -15° to -90°: Temp 0 to 50 °C

• Angle 0° to -45°: Temp 0 to 40 °C

• Angle -45° to -90°: Temp 0 to 50 °C

For EA9-T15CL-R and EA9-T15CL models with EA-AC adapter:

• Angle 15° to 90°: Temp 0 to 50 °C

• Angle 0° to 45°: Temp 0 to 40 °C

• Angle 45° to 90°: Temp 0 to 50 °C

The display screen should be cleaned periodically by wiping it with a lint-free damp cloth using a mild soap solution. Use a dry or slightly dampened cloth to wipe any dirt from the labels on the back of the panel. Dry all surfaces with a lint-free cloth. Do not clean with ammonia-based products which are solvents and will damage the face of the panel and the labels.

The touchscreen is designed to respond to a single touch. If it is touched at multiple points at the same time, an unexpected object may be activated.

For models EA9-T6CL-R and EA9-T6CL only, the following requirements apply for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C hazardous locations:

• The unit is suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous locations, or nonhazardous locations only.

• WARNING – EXPLOSION HAZARD – DO NOT DISCONNECT EQUIPMENT UNLESS POWER HAS BEEN SWITCHED OFF OR THE AREA IS KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.

• WARNING – EXPLOSION HAZARD – SUBSTITUTION OF ANY COMPONENTS MAY IMPAIR SUITABILITY FOR CLASS I, DIVISION 2.

• DEVICES SHALL BE INSTALLED INTO AN ENCLOSURE THAT UTILIZES A TOOL REMOVABLE DOOR/COVER.
