After unpacking your AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL, you should inspect all equipment for completeness. If anything is missing or damaged, you should take appropriate action. The package should contain the following items:

To power the AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL with a dedicated DC power source, wire a 12-24 VDC power source to the DC connector on the rear of the panel. It is important to also wire the ground terminal to a proper equipment ground. After wiring, turn on the power source and check the LED status indicators for proper indication.

Note: Use 60 / 75°C copper conductors only, 12 – 24 AWG.

To power the AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL using an AC source, install a C-more AC/DC Power Adapter (p/n EA-AC) to the rear of the touch panel. Wire an AC voltage source of 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, to its AC connector. The recommended AC supply fuse is a 3.0A time delay fuse (ADC p/n: MDL3). After connecting the power, turn on the power source and check the LED status indicators on the front and rear of the panel for proper indication.

EA-AC Tightening Torque:

The AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL has a CPU Status LED and a Power LED that indicate its operational state.

The required panel cutout dimensions for the AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL are as follows:

Clearance:

When installing the AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL in an enclosure or cabinet, a minimum clearance of 4 inches from the top, bottom, and sides, and 1.72 inches from the rear must be maintained.

Derating:

If the AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL is mounted off the vertical plane facing upward, the operating temperature must be derated as follows:

• Angle 0° to 15°: Temperature must be 0 to 45 °C.

• Angle 15° to 90°: Temperature must be 0 to 50 °C.

If the EA-AC power adapter is used, the derating is as follows:

• Angle 0° to 45°: Temperature must be 0 to 40 °C.

• Angle 45° to 90°: Temperature must be 0 to 50 °C.

The AUTOMATIONDIRECT C-MORE EA9-T15CL uses 8 mounting bracket locations for a secure fit. The required torque for the mounting clip screws depends on the panel size.

Cleaning:

The display screen should be cleaned periodically by wiping it with a lint-free damp cloth using a mild soap solution. Use a dry or slightly dampened cloth to wipe any dirt from the labels on the back of the panel. Dry all surfaces with a lint-free cloth. Do not clean with ammonia-based products which are solvents and will damage the face of the panel and the labels.

Operation:

The touchscreen is designed to respond to a single touch. If it is touched at multiple points at the same time, an unexpected object may be activated.

• WARNING – EXPLOSION HAZARD – DO NOT DISCONNECT EQUIPMENT UNLESS POWER HAS BEEN SWITCHED OFF OR THE AREA IS KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.

• WARNING – EXPLOSION HAZARD – SUBSTITUTION OF ANY COMPONENTS MAY IMPAIR SUITABILITY FOR CLASS I, DIVISION 2.

• DEVICES SHALL BE INSTALLED INTO AN ENCLOSURE THAT UTILIZES A TOOL REMOVABLE DOOR/COVER.
