What are the functions of the buttons on the Parent Unit of the MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
1. Display (LCD screen): Shows the video feed and menu options.
2. VIDEO ON/OFF button: Press to turn the LCD screen ON/OFF.
3. TALK button: Press and hold to speak to your baby.
4. RESET button (recessed): Use a small pin to press.
5. UP button: In Normal Mode, it tilts the camera up. In Menu Mode, it moves up through menu options.
6. DOWN button: In Normal Mode, it tilts the camera down. In Menu Mode, it moves down through menu options.

What are the safety instructions for setting up my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
WARNING: Strangulation Hazard: Children have STRANGLED in cords. Keep this cord out of the reach of children (more than 1m (3ft) away). Never use extension cords with AC Adapters. Only use the AC Adapters provided.
Baby Unit SET UP & USE:
• Choose a location for the Baby Unit that will provide the best view of your baby in their cot.
• Place the Baby Unit on a flat surface, such as a dresser, desk, or shelf or mount the Unit to a wall securely using the keyhole slots on the underside of the stand.
• NEVER place the Baby Unit or cords in the cot or within reach of the baby (the unit and cords should be more than 1 metre away).
General Warnings:
• Adult assembly is required. Keep small parts away from children when assembling.
• This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with it.
• This Baby Monitor is not a substitute for responsible adult supervision.
• Do not cover the Baby Monitor with a towel or blanket.
• Only use the chargers and power adapters provided.
• Test this monitor and all its functions so that you are familiar with it prior to actual use.
• Do not use the Baby Monitor near water or a heat source.
• Do not touch the plug contacts with sharp or metal objects.
How do I set up the power supply for the Baby Unit of my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
Step 1. Connect the small plug of the power adapter to the Baby Unit (camera) and the other end to a suitable mains power socket. Only use the enclosed power adapter (5V DC / 1000mA).
Step 2. Slide the POWER ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The power LED will light up in Green.
Step 3. To turn the Baby Unit off, slide the POWER ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
IMPORTANT: The Baby Unit can operate without a power connection for up to 3 hours with its built-in rechargeable battery (Ni-MH battery 2.4V, 900mAh). Please charge the unit for at least 16 hours for the first time use.
How do I set up the power supply for the Parent Unit of my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
IMPORTANT: The Parent Unit has a built-in rechargeable battery pack (Lithium-ion battery 1880mAh, for up to 5 hours of operation). Charge it for 16 hours before initial use.
Step 1. Connect the micro USB plug of the power adapter to the Parent Unit and the other end to a suitable mains power socket. Only use the enclosed power adapter (5V DC / 1000mA).
Step 2. Press and hold the POWER ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to turn ON the Parent Unit.
Step 3. To turn OFF the Parent Unit, press and hold the POWER ON/OFF button until the progress bar finishes scrolling.
Note: The battery icon turns RED to indicate the battery is low, and the parent unit will beep every 15 seconds. It will take 16 hours to charge fully.
What do the screen and LEDs indicate when charging the Parent Unit of my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
When the Parent Unit is OFF: If the adapter is plugged in, a 2-pin plug logo will appear on-screen for about 5 seconds, followed by a flashing battery logo for 15 seconds. The Blue LED at the top left will light up, indicating that the adapter is plugged in and charging is continuing.
When the Parent Unit is ON: If the adapter is plugged in, the battery icon at the top right corner of the screen will show that the battery is charging. The Charging LED at the top left will also light up to indicate the adapter is plugged in.
How do I register (pair) a new camera to my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
The Baby Monitor is pre-registered. You only need to register it again if the Baby Unit loses its link with the Parent Unit.
Step 1. Press the MENU button on the Parent Unit.
Step 2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button until the Camera icon is highlighted, and the scan menu (delete, add, view, scan) will pop up.
Step 3. Press the UP or DOWN button to select ‘add’, and press the OK button to confirm.
Step 4. The camera selection screen (Camera 1/2/3/4) will appear. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the desired Camera and press the OK button to start searching. The screen will show “press PAIR on cam”.
Step 5. Press and hold the PAIR button underneath the Baby Unit until the Parent Unit finds the camera, beeps, and “PAIR OK” appears on the screen. The video from the camera will then appear.
Note: If a camera is currently paired with the Parent Unit, its camera location (with a * against it) cannot be selected for a new registration. Registering a new Baby Unit to a location will cancel the old registration for that location.
How do I use the Pan and Tilt feature on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
When in camera viewing mode, you can remotely control the camera from the Parent Unit.
Step 1. Press the UP or DOWN button to tilt the camera up or down.
Step 2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button to pan the camera left or right.
How does the Night Vision Mode work on the MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
The Baby Unit has 8 high-intensity infrared LEDs for picking up clear images in the dark. When the built-in photo sensor on the top of the unit detects a low level of ambient light, the LEDs will automatically activate. The screen on the Parent Unit will display in black and white, and the moon icon will be displayed at the top of the screen.
How do I use the Talk Mode on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
Press and hold the TALK button on the Parent Unit to talk to your baby through the Baby Unit’s loudspeaker. The microphone icon will be displayed at the top of the LCD screen while in use.
How do I turn the video screen on or off on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
Press the VIDEO ON/OFF button to turn the LCD screen on or off. This allows you to turn off the screen while still leaving the audio monitor on.
How does the temperature display work on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
The temperature reading from the sensor at the back of the Baby Unit is displayed at the top of the LCD screen.
• The readings will turn RED if the temperature goes above 29°C / 84°F or below 14°C / 57°F.
• The reading will change to HH °C / °F if the temperature goes above 36°C / 97°F.
• The reading will change to LL °C / °F if the temperature goes below 1°C / 34°F.
How do I adjust the settings (Volume, Brightness, Lullaby, Zoom, Alarm) on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
Volume: Press the Volume – or + button to adjust the volume level from 0 to 8. Level 0 is OFF.
Brightness:
Step 1. Press the MENU button.
Step 2. Use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to highlight the brightness (sun) icon.
Step 3. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to select the desired brightness level from 1 to 8.
Lullaby Sounds:

View a Camera:
Step 1. Press the MENU button and navigate to the Camera Control icon.
Step 2. Select ‘view’ and press OK.
Step 3. Select the desired camera (only locations with a * can be selected) and press OK.
TIP: For a quicker method, directly press the OK button repeatedly to cycle through the available cameras.
Delete a Camera:
Step 1. Press the MENU button and navigate to the Camera Control icon.
Step 2. Select ‘delete’ and press OK.
Step 3. Select the desired camera to delete and press OK.
Step 4. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the checkmark, then press OK to confirm deletion.
Scan Camera: (Only available with more than 1 camera)
Step 1. Press the MENU button and navigate to the Camera Control icon.
Step 2. Select ‘scan’ and press OK.
Step 3. The screen will then display images from different registered cameras, changing about every 12 seconds.
How do I switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
Step 1. Press the MENU button and the menu bar will pop up.
Step 2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button until the temperature (thermometer) icon is highlighted.
Step 3. Press the UP or DOWN button to select °C or °F.
How do I use the Power Saving mode on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
This mode turns the video off automatically to save battery.
Step 1. Press the MENU button.
Step 2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button until the power saving (screen with Zzz) icon is highlighted.
Step 3. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the auto video off timer: 5 mins, 30 mins, or 60 mins (if operating on batteries only).
Note: The audio will stay on. You can press any key to switch the video back on.
How do I view multiple cameras on the screen (Split Screen mode) on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
This function is only available when you have more than one Baby Unit (Camera).
Step 1. Press the MENU button.
Step 2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button until the Split Screen icon is highlighted.
Step 3. Press the UP or DOWN button to select Split Screen On.
Step 4. When the Split Screen function is On, you can press the LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN buttons to switch between cameras to hear the audio from the selected camera, which will be indicated by a red frame.
Note: In multi-screen mode, the TALK button operates with the selected camera. Lullaby sounds must be set before selecting multi-screen mode. Zoom does not work in multi-screen mode.
How should I clean my MOTOROLA MBP55-3?
Clean the Baby Monitor with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static cloth. Never use cleaning agents or abrasive solvents.
Cleaning and care:
• Do not clean any part of the product with thinners or other solvents and chemicals.
• Keep the Baby Monitor away from hot, humid areas or strong sunlight, and don’t let it get wet.
What should I do if there is no display on my MOTOROLA MBP55-3 Parent Unit?
• Try recharging the battery pack or press the RESET button once.
• Reset both units. Press the RESET button on the Parent Unit and unplug both the units’ electrical power, then plug them back in.
• Check if the unit is turned on (green ON/OFF LED should be lit). Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the Parent Unit to turn it ON.
• Check if the correct camera is selected. Change the camera number if necessary.
• Check if the video display is turned on. Press the VIDEO ON/OFF button to turn it on.
• When operating on batteries only, the display will go blank after 5, 30, or 60 minutes to save power. The unit is still active and will give audio alerts. You can reactivate the screen by pressing any button.

• Try recharging the Parent Unit or press its RESET button once.
• If the Baby Unit is too far away, it may be out of range. Move the Baby Unit closer to the Parent Unit.
• Reset the units by disconnecting the Baby Unit from electrical power and pressing the RESET button on the Parent Unit. Wait about 15 seconds before reconnecting. Allow up to one minute for the units to synchronise.
• If necessary, re-register the units following the pairing instructions.

• Your Baby and Parent Units may be too close. Move them farther apart.
• Make sure there is at least 1 to 2 metres between the 2 units to avoid audio feedback.

• Make sure the units are not near other electrical equipment, such as a television, computer, or cordless/mobile telephone.
• Other 2.4 GHz products (Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth systems, microwave ovens) may cause interference. Keep the baby monitor at least 1.5m (5ft) away from these items, or turn them off if they appear to be causing interference.
• If the signal is weak, try moving the Parent and/or Baby Unit to different positions in the rooms.
