• **NEVER** place the Baby Unit or cords in the cot or within reach of the baby. The unit and cords should be more than 1 meter (3ft) away.

• **Strangulation Hazard**: Children have STRANGLED in cords. Keep the cord out of the reach of children (more than 1m (3ft) away). Never use extension cords with AC Adapters. Only use the provided AC Adapters.

1. Connect the small plug of the power adapter to the Baby Unit and the other end to a suitable mains power socket. Only use the enclosed power adapter (5V DC / 1000mA).
2. Slide the POWER ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The power LED will light up in Green.
3. To turn the Baby Unit off, slide the POWER ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
The Baby Unit can operate for up to 3 hours without a power connection using its built-in rechargeable battery (Ni-MH 2.4V, 900mAh). Please charge the unit for at least 16 hours before the first use.
How do I power and charge the MOTOROLA MBP55 Parent Unit?
The Parent Unit has a built-in rechargeable battery (Lithium-ion 1880mAh) that provides up to 5 hours of operation. Charge it for 16 hours before initial use.
1. Connect the micro USB plug of the power adapter to the Parent Unit and the other end to a suitable mains power socket. Only use the enclosed adapter (5V DC / 1000mA).
2. Press and hold the POWER ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to turn ON the Parent Unit.
3. Once both units are on, the Parent Unit will display video from the Baby Unit.
4. If there is no connection or you are out of range, a symbol will appear and the unit will beep.
5. To turn OFF the Parent Unit, press and hold the POWER ON/OFF button until the progress bar finishes.
When the battery icon turns RED, the battery is low and the unit will beep every 15 seconds. It will take 16 hours to fully recharge.
How do I register (pair) a new Baby Unit to my MOTOROLA MBP55 Parent Unit?
The Baby Monitor is pre-registered. Only re-register if the Baby Unit loses its link.
1. Press the MENU button on the Parent Unit.
2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button until the camera icon is highlighted, and the scan/view/add/del menu will pop up.
3. Press the UP or DOWN button to select ‘add’, and press the OK button to confirm.
4. The camera list (1/2/3/4) will pop up. Press the UP or DOWN button to select the desired camera number and press OK. “press PAIR on cam” will be shown. Note: A camera location with a * next to it is already in use and cannot be selected for a new registration.
5. Press and hold the PAIR button underneath the Baby Unit until the Parent Unit finds the camera, beeps, and “PAIR OK” appears on the screen. The video from the camera will then appear.
How do I operate the remote features of the MOTOROLA MBP55?
Pan and Tilt:
While viewing the camera feed, press the UP or DOWN buttons to tilt the camera. Press the LEFT or RIGHT buttons to pan the camera.
Talk Mode:
Press and hold the TALK button on the Parent Unit to talk to your baby through the Baby Unit’s speaker. The talk icon will be displayed on the screen.
Video ON/OFF:
Press the VIDEO ON/OFF button to turn the LCD screen on or off. The audio monitor will remain active.
Night Vision Mode:

The temperature reading from the sensor on the back of the Baby Unit is displayed at the top of the LCD screen. The readings will turn RED if the temperature goes above 29°C / 84°F or below 14°C / 57°F. The reading will change to HH °C / °F if the temperature exceeds 36°C / 97°F, and to LL °C / °F if it drops below 1°C / 34°F. To change between Celsius and Fahrenheit, go to the menu, select the temperature icon, and use the UP or DOWN buttons.

Volume: Press the Volume – or + buttons to adjust the volume level from 0 to 8. Level 0 is OFF.

View a camera:
Press the MENU button, navigate to the camera icon, select ‘view’, and then choose the desired camera from the list. Alternatively, you can directly press the OK button repeatedly to cycle through the available cameras.
Delete a camera:
Press the MENU button, navigate to the camera icon, select ‘del’ (delete), choose the camera you want to delete, select the checkmark, and press OK. You cannot delete the camera if it is the only one registered.
Scan camera:
This function is available when you have more than one camera. Press MENU, navigate to the camera icon, and select ‘scan’. The screen will then display images from different registered cameras, changing about every 12 seconds.
View multiple cameras on screen (Split Screen):
This function is available when you have more than one camera. Press MENU, navigate to the split screen icon, and select On. You can view multiple cameras on the screen, but only hear audio from one at a time. Use the directional buttons to switch which camera’s audio is active, indicated by a red frame. The TALK and lullaby functions work with the selected camera. Zoom does not work in multi-screen mode.
