• Pick up to stop ringing: Lift the phone to switch incoming calls to vibrate.

4. Your phone will scan for available devices. Tap a found device to connect to it. If necessary, tap PAIR or enter a passkey like 0000.

When the device connects, the Bluetooth connected indicator appears in the status bar. To disconnect or reconnect a device, simply turn the device off or on.

You can share your phone’s mobile network with a computer using a USB cable. Follow these steps:

1. Connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable.

2. On your phone, swipe up and open Settings. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned off.

3. In Settings, tap Network & Internet > Hotspot & tethering.

4. Tap the switch for USB tethering to turn it on.

To stop the connection, tap USB tethering again, then disconnect your phone from your computer.

Your MOTOROLA MOTO G6 XT1925-6 supports using a microSD card (sold separately) in two ways:

• Portable storage (default): Use the card to store pictures, videos, audio, and other media files. You can remove the card at any time and use it in another device.

• Internal storage: Use the card as an extension of your phone’s internal storage. This allows you to store some downloaded apps on the card in addition to media files. Not all apps can be stored on the microSD card.

To set your microSD card to internal storage, swipe up > Settings > Storage, select the microSD card, and tap Menu > Storage settings > Format as internal.

Caution: If you format a microSD card as internal storage, it is encrypted to protect your information. To use it as portable storage again or in another device, you will need to reformat it, which will erase all data stored on it.

To protect your phone, you can set a screen lock. Go to Settings > Security & Location > Screen lock.

You can choose from the following lock types:

• None: Turns off the screen lock.

• Swipe: Touch and drag up to unlock.

• Pattern: Draw a pattern to unlock.

• PIN: Enter four to sixteen digits to unlock.

• Password: Enter four to sixteen letters, digits, or symbols to unlock.

After setting a lock type, you can tap the gear icon for additional screen lock settings. You can also set up Fingerprint and Face Unlock from the Security & Location menu for additional ways to unlock your phone.

Screen pinning keeps a specific app screen in view, which is useful for things like showing a boarding pass.

To set up screen pinning:

1. Swipe up > Settings > Security & Location > Screen pinning.

2. Tap the switch to turn it on.

To pin a screen:

1. Open the app you want to pin.

2. Touch and hold the Recents button until you see the “Screen unpinned” message.

To unpin a screen:

Touch and hold the Back and Recents buttons simultaneously.

For extra security, you can tap “Ask for PIN before unpinning” when you set up the feature.

Your Google account data is backed up online. To ensure this feature is active, swipe up > Settings > System > Backup, then tap the Back up to Google Drive switch to turn it on.

When you reset or replace your phone, you can just log in to your Google account to restore the contacts, events, and other details that you synced.

Uninstall apps from home screen:

To remove an app from your phone completely, touch and hold the app icon, then drag it to Uninstall at the top of the screen.

Disable or uninstall apps from Settings:

1. Swipe up > Settings > Apps & notifications > App info.

2. Tap an app from the list.

3. Tap DISABLE or UNINSTALL. To re-enable a disabled app, tap ENABLE.

Reinstall apps:

1. Open the Play Store app.

2. Tap the Menu icon > My Apps & games > Library.

3. You will see a list of apps you’ve previously downloaded, which are available for download again.

You can track the amount of mobile data your phone uploads and downloads. To view this information, swipe up > Settings > Network & Internet > Data usage.

On this screen, you can:

• See the total amount of data used for the current billing period.

• View your current billing cycle and tap to set alerts and data limits.

• Turn on Data Saver to help reduce data usage by preventing some apps from sending or receiving data in the background.

Restart a frozen phone:

If your phone stops responding to touches and button presses, press and hold the Power button until the screen goes dark and your phone restarts.

Restart in Safe Mode (if an app is causing issues):

1. Press and hold the Power button.

2. When you see the “Power off” option on the screen, press and hold it until the screen goes dark.

3. Your phone will restart with “Safe mode” displayed in the lower left. You can then try removing the problematic app.

Reset to factory settings:

To erase all data on your phone and reset it to factory settings, swipe up > Settings > System > Reset > Factory data reset.

Warning: This action will delete all downloaded apps and user data on your phone. Data stored in the cloud will not be deleted.
