What are the main safety warnings for installing and using this product?
Mounting and wiring this product requires skills and experience. For safety’s sake, leave this work to professionals.
The unit can only be installed in a car with a 12 V DC power supply, negative ground.
Disconnect the battery’s negative terminal and make all electrical connections before installing the unit.
Connect speakers with a maximum power of more than 50 W (impedance of 4 Ω to 8 Ω). Otherwise, change the <Amplifier Gain> setting.
Insulate unconnected wires with vinyl tape or other similar material. To prevent a short circuit, do not remove the caps on the ends of the unconnected wires or the terminals.
If the fuse blows, first make sure the wires are not touching to cause a short circuit, then replace the old fuse with one that has the same rating.
Install this unit in the console of your vehicle.
Mount the unit so that the mounting angle is 30° or less.
Be sure to ground this unit to the car’s chassis again after installation.
After the unit is installed, check whether the brake lamps, blinkers, wipers, etc. on the car are working properly.
Do not touch the metal part of this unit during and shortly after the use of the unit. Metal parts such as the heat sink and enclosure become hot.
What precautions should I take for power supply and speaker connections?
DO NOT connect the speaker leads of the power cord to the car battery; otherwise, the unit will be seriously damaged.
BEFORE connecting the speaker leads of the power cord to the speakers, check the speaker wiring in your car.
Connect the speaker wires correctly to the terminals to which they correspond. The unit may be damaged or fail to work if you share the wires or ground them to any metal part in the car.

How do I install the unit in the dash using the supplied sleeve?
This method is for in-dash mounting. Ensure the unit is installed at an angle of less than 30°.
1. Remove the audio system originally installed in the car dashboard.
2. Install the supplied sleeve (A) into the dashboard opening.
3. Bend the appropriate tabs on the sleeve to hold it firmly in place.
4. Make all the necessary electrical connections to the unit.
5. Slide the main unit into the sleeve until it locks.
6. Attach the trim plate (G).
How do I install the unit using the car’s original mounting brackets?
This method uses the mounting brackets that came with your vehicle. Ensure the unit is installed at an angle of less than 30°.
1. Remove the audio system originally installed in the car dashboard.
2. Remove the mounting brackets from the original audio system. Also remove the sleeve (A) and brackets (B) from the new unit.
3. Firmly attach the ground wire to the metallic body of the car using the screw originally fixed to the metallic body of the car. If there is an interfering tab on the mounting bracket, bend it flat.
4. Attach the car’s original mounting brackets to the new unit using the supplied screws (C or E).
5. Install the unit into the car’s dashboard using the screws that were removed from the original car audio system.
How should I join open-ended wires?
To join the open-ends of the leads:
1. Strip the lead ends.
2. Twist the ends together.
3. Solder the twisted ends.
4. Cover the connection with insulating tape.
How do I connect the microphone unit?
1. Connect the microphone to the MIC (Microphone input terminal) on the rear of the unit.
2. Secure the microphone cord using cord clamps if necessary.
3. Adjust the angle of the microphone for best performance.
How do I connect external components?
Before connecting any external components, make sure the unit is turned off. You can connect various systems to the expansion port on the rear of the unit.
Compatible Components:
• HD Radio™ tuner: JVC KT-HD300
• SIRIUS Satellite Radio: Requires a JVC KS-SRA100 interface and either an SCC1 tuner or an SCVDOC1 docking kit with a SIRIUS radio.
• XM Satellite Radio: Requires either an XMDJVC100 adapter with an XM Universal Tuner Box, or a CNPJVC1 cable with a CNP2000UCA adapter and XM Direct 2 Tuner.
• Portable audio player: Requires either a JVC KS-U57 line input adapter (for players with line output jacks) or a JVC KS-U58 AUX input adapter (for players with a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack).
Connecting Multiple Systems in Series:
• To connect 2 systems: Connect an HD Radio, SIRIUS, or XM tuner first, and then connect a portable audio player to it.
• To connect 3 systems: Connect the HD Radio tuner first, then connect the SIRIUS or XM Satellite Radio to the HD tuner, and finally connect the portable audio player to the satellite radio tuner.
Note: SIRIUS Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio cannot be used together. When using external components, you must set the external input setting correctly.
The fuse blows. What should I do?
Check if the red and black leads are connected correctly.
Power cannot be turned on. What should I check?
First, check if the yellow lead is connected.
If your vehicle’s factory wiring harness does not have a “12 V ignition switch” lead, you must connect the red lead of the supplied power cord (F) to the vehicle fuse block through a separate red lead with a fuse tap.
There is no sound from the speakers. What could be the cause?
Check if the speaker output lead is short-circuited.
What does the message “Miswiring Check Wiring Reset The Unit” mean?
This message appears and no operation can be performed. Check if the speaker output lead is short-circuited or is touching the chassis of the car or head unit. After checking the wiring, reset your unit.
The sound is distorted. What should I check?
Check if the speaker output lead is grounded. Also, check if the “-” terminals of the left (L) and right (R) speakers are grounded in common.
There is noise interfering with the sound. How can I fix this?
Check if the rear ground terminal is connected to the car’s chassis using shorter and thicker cords.
The unit becomes hot. Is this a problem?
The unit becoming hot during use can be normal. However, if it seems excessive, check if the speaker output lead is grounded or if the “-” terminals of the left (L) and right (R) speakers are grounded in common.
The unit does not work at all. What is the first step?
Reset your unit. There is a reset button on the front panel.
