Before using the HONOR PTP-N49, you should familiarize yourself with its basic operations:

• To power on your device, press and hold the power button until the screen turns on.

• To power off your device, press and hold the power button, and then touch the power off icon.

• To restart your device, press and hold the power button, and then touch the restart icon.

• To force restart your device, press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons for more than 10 seconds.

The main components of the HONOR PTP-N49 are as follows:

• Please keep the NFC area close to other devices or objects while using the NFC function.

• Please set a device protection (fingerprint ID, face recognition, password) during initial setup. Skipping this step may increase the risk of unauthorized access to your device.

• Check out the pre-installed Tips app and master all the great features on your device.

Follow the instructions to set up your device. Please use the eject pin included. Ensure that the card is correctly aligned and its notch is first inserted into the card tray.

Important Precautions:

• Be careful not to scratch your device or hurt yourself when using the eject pin.

• Store the eject pin out of the reach of children to prevent accidental swallowing or injury.

• Do not use cut or modified SIM cards with your device as these may not be recognised and could damage the card tray (slot).

• If your SIM card does not match your device, please contact your carrier.

• 5G and 4G service depends on the support of your network carrier and its deployment of relevant services. Please contact your carrier to activate 5G or 4G service.

• 5G and 4G service may be unavailable in certain areas due to network interference.

• To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

• Using an unapproved or incompatible power adapter, charger or battery may damage your device, shorten its lifespan or cause a fire, explosion or other hazards.

• Ideal operating temperatures are 0 °C to 35 °C. Ideal storage temperatures are -20 °C to +45 °C.

• Pacemaker manufacturers recommend maintaining a minimum distance of 15 cm between a pacemaker and a wireless device to prevent potential interference. If using a pacemaker, hold the device on the side opposite the pacemaker and do not carry it in your front pocket.

• Keep the device and the battery away from fire, excessive heat and direct sunlight. Do not place them on or in heating devices, such as microwave ovens, water heaters, stoves or radiators.

• Adhere to local laws and regulations while using the device. To reduce the risk of accidents, do not use your wireless device while driving. If you must make or answer a call, stop your vehicle at a safe location first.

• While flying in an aircraft, ensure you use your device according to the instructions provided.

• To avoid damaging the internal circuit, do not use the device in a dusty, damp, or dirty place, or near a magnetic field.

• Recommend using HONOR power adapters specifically designed for your device, or any other power adapters meeting the requirements of Clause Q.1 in IEC 62368-1/EN 62368-1.

• To extend the battery life, unplug the charger after the phone is fully charged to avoid accelerated battery aging due to prolonged charging.

• If the phone is idle for a long time, turn it off and charge it periodically to maintain about 50% battery level. Long periods of inactivity without charging may trigger over-discharge protection.

• Avoid using your phone in environments with extreme temperatures or significant temperature differences.

• Avoid using the phone while charging for extended periods, especially during high-power operations, which can cause the phone to heat up and accelerate battery aging.

• When charging, ensure the power adapter is plugged into an easily accessible socket near the device.

• Unplug the charger from the socket and the device when not in use.

• Do not attempt to replace the built-in battery yourself. Contact an authorised service centre for a replacement.

• Do not use, store or transport the device where flammables or explosives are stored (e.g., in a petrol station, oil depot or chemical plant).

• Keep the battery away from fire, and do not disassemble, modify, throw, or squeeze it. Do not insert foreign objects into it, submerge it in water or other liquids, or expose it to external force or pressure, as this may cause the battery to leak, overheat, catch fire, or even explode.

• Adhere to any rules or regulations set forth by hospitals and health care facilities.

• Power off your device in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere and comply with all signs and instructions. Such areas include where you would normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine, areas below deck on boats, chemical transfer or storage facilities, and areas where the air contains chemicals or particles such as grain, dust, or metal powders.

Your HONOR PTP-N49 has been tested in a controlled environment and certified to be splash, water, and dust resistant in specific situations, meeting the requirements of classification IP68 and IP69 as described by the international standard IEC 60529:2013. Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not charge your device in wet conditions.

The symbol on the product, battery, literature, or packaging means that the products and batteries should be taken to separate waste collection points designated by local authorities at the end of the lifespan. This will ensure that EEE waste is recycled and treated in a manner that conserves valuable materials and protects human health and the environment. The HONOR PTP-N49 complies with RF specifications when used near your ear or at a distance of 0.50 cm from your body. The highest reported SAR value is:

• Head SAR: 0.85 W/kg

• Body SAR: 1.29 W/kg

If your device supports wireless reverse charging, this equipment should be operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm between the device and your body.

The power delivered by the charger must be between min 10 Watts required by the radio equipment, and max 100 Watts in order to achieve the maximum charging speed. The device supports USB PD fast charging. For environmental reasons, this package does not include a charger. This device can be powered with most USB power adapters and a cable with a USB Type-C plug.
