What do the LED indicators on the keypad mean?

The LED indicators provide the following information:

How does the keypad backlight work?

– The backlight is on by default. You can set the On/Off schedule on the web client/APP of the control panel (refer to the control panel user manual).

– It turns off when there is no key operation for more than 10 s to 30 s (adjustable).

– If the keypad is not enrolled to the control panel, the backlight is off.


What do the different buzzer sounds indicate?

The buzzer descriptions are as follows:

– Two short beeps: Operation succeeded

– Three short beeps: Operation failed

– Rapid short beeps: Entry delay

– Slow short beeps: Exit delay

– Repeated sound effects: Fire alarm/Medical alarm/Panic alarm/Lid opened alarm


How do I enroll the keypad to the control panel locally?

Follow these steps for local enrollment:

1. Power on the security control panel.

2. Download and install the APP.

3. Log in to the APP and tap the icon “+”. Scan the QR code or enter the control panel serial No. to add the control panel.

4. In the APP, tap the “Enrollment Mode” button on the control panel page to make the control panel enter the enrollment status.

5. Remove the screw on the bottom of the keypad.

6. Disassemble the keypad and remove the rear panel.

7. Push the power switch of the peripheral to ON.

8. It will be automatically enrolled to the control panel.

Note: If the keypad has been enrolled to control panel A, and there is a control panel B in enrollment mode nearby when the power is turned on, the keypad will enroll to control panel B.


How do I enroll the keypad using the QR Code or Serial Number?

Follow these steps for enrollment using QR code or Serial No.:

1. Power on the security control panel.

2. Download and install the APP.

3. Log in to the APP and tap the icon “+”. Scan the QR code or enter the control panel serial No. to add the control panel (if not already added).

4. In the APP, tap the icon “+” and scan the QR code (located on the rear panel of the keypad) or enter the serial No. on the peripheral.

5. Remove the screw on the bottom of the keypad.

6. Disassemble the keypad and remove the rear panel.

7. Push the power switch of the peripheral to ON.

8. It will be automatically enrolled to the control panel.


How do I install the keypad?

Before installation:

– Check the signal strength at the desired location. Enter signal checking mode via the control panel.

– Signal LED flashes green: Strong

– Signal LED flashes orange: Medium

– Signal LED flashes red: Weak/Disconnected

– Select a suitable installation place based on signal strength.

– Ensure the mounting surface can support at least three times the weight of the equipment but not less than 50N.

Installation Steps:

1. Secure the rear panel to the wall using the four supplied screws.

2. Attach the front panel onto the rear panel.

3. Tighten the screw on the bottom to complete the installation.

Caution: If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.


What are the basic keypad commands?

The following table shows the keypad commands. A short tag swiping (<3 s) is equivalent to entering a password.

How does the arming process work?

The arming process involves several stages (assuming it’s enabled on the control panel):

Pre-arming:

– Indication: The keypad displays “Waiting for arming”. The fault LED (Triangle with !) turns solid orange.

Fault Checking:

– Indication: All faults of the control panel and the zones to be operated will be displayed. You need to use the scroll keys ([Up/Delete Icon] and [Down Icon]) to view all faults before the next operation.

– Away arming: Confirm by pressing [Away Arm Icon].

– Stay arming: Confirm by pressing [Stay Arm Icon].

– Cancel: Press [Disarm Icon].

– The fault LED turns flashing orange during fault checking.

Exit Delay:

– Indication: The keypad displays “Exit delay”. The arming LED (House Icon) turns flashing blue, and the buzzer indicates exit delay with slow short beeps.

– Arm Directly: Press the [Away Arm Icon] or [Stay Arm Icon] to arm the device immediately during the exit delay.

– Indication if successful: Arming LED solid blue for 5 s. Buzzer beeps twice.

– Indication if failed: Buzzer beeps three times.

– Cancel: Press the [Disarm Icon] to cancel the arming process during the exit delay.

– Indication if successful: Buzzer beeps twice.

– Indication if failed: Buzzer beeps three times.

– No Instant Operation: If no action is taken, the countdown finishes.

– Indication if successful: Arming LED solid blue for 5 s. Buzzer beeps twice.

– Indication if failed: Buzzer beeps three times.


How do I reset the keypad?

Hold the Tamper Switch and turn on the power until the Signal Strength LED flashes red 3 times.

How do I use Simple Mode for arming and disarming?

Arm:

– When the keypad is disarmed:

– A short tag swiping (<3 s) performs an away arm.

– A long tag swiping (≥3 s) performs a stay arm.

Disarm:

– When the keypad is armed:

– A short tag swiping (<3 s) disarms the system.

Note:

1. A single swiping interval needs to be longer than 3 s. Multiple swipes within 3 s count as one time.

2. Simple mode does not support the standard arming process (pre-arming, fault check, exit delay).


What settings can be managed through the keypad?

The following settings can be accessed (permissions may apply):

User Management: Add/Edit/Delete users.

Tag Management: Add/Edit/Delete tags.

Restore Alarm: Confirm alarm or restore tamper of the control panel. (Only when the control panel supports and enables PD6662. Only installer has this permission.)

Company/Telephone: Edit company name and telephone number.

Control Panel Lock/Unlock: One-push to lock or unlock the control panel. (Only installer has this permission.)

Bypass/Restore Bypass: Bypass/Restore bypass zones.

Access these settings using Password/Tag + [Settings Icon]. Note that administrator or installer permissions are required for Settings access.

Are there any important safety or installation instructions?

Yes, please observe the following:

– The ‘+’ symbol identifies the positive terminal(s) for direct current, and ‘-‘ identifies the negative terminal(s).

– Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the equipment.

– The serial port is intended for debugging purposes only.

– Always install the equipment according to the instructions in the manual.

– To prevent injury, securely attach the equipment to the floor/wall as per installation instructions.

– Ensure the equipment is oriented correctly during use.

– The mounting requires an additional force equal to three times the weight of the equipment, but not less than 50N. The equipment and its mounting means must remain secure during installation.

– After installation, ensure the equipment, including any mounting plate, is not damaged.
