Please read all instructions before using your TOTO SW4726. The following are important safeguards:

WARNING: May result in death or serious injury.

Electrical and Fire Safety:

• Never disassemble, repair, or alter the product. This may cause fire, electrical shock, overheating, short circuit, or breakdown.

• Do not use a loose or faulty electrical outlet, or any outlet beyond its specified rating. Plugging too many plugs into one outlet can cause fire due to heat.

• Insert the power plug securely into the outlet. Failure to do so may cause fire, heat, or short circuit.

• To unplug, hold the power plug, not the power cord. Pulling on the cord may cause damage and result in fire or heat.

• Do not touch the power cord connection with wet hands, as this may cause electrical shock.

• Do not touch the power source connection during thunderstorms.

• Do not do anything that may damage the power cord. Do not strike, yank, twist, excessively bend, damage, alter, or heat the power cords. Do not place anything heavy on, bind, or pinch the power cords.

• Periodically remove dust and dirt from the power plug and ensure it is securely plugged into the wall outlet. Failure to do so can cause fire, heat, or short circuit.

• Confirm that a properly grounded outlet has been installed to prevent electrical shock in the event of a malfunction.

• Keep cigarettes and other open flames away from the product.

• Turn the power OFF before maintenance or inspection.

Water and Installation Safety:

• Do not install the product on moving vehicles like wheeled vehicles or boats.

• This is an electrical product. Do not install it where water is likely to get on it or where humidity is high. When used in a bathroom, ensure good air flow with a fan or ventilation port.

• Always connect the product to the cold water supply. Connecting to hot water may result in burns and equipment damage.

• Do not use any water other than potable water allowed by local laws. Do not use seawater or recycled water.

• Do not get any water or cleaning solution on the gap between the main unit and bowl unit or power supply connections.

• Do not allow the water supply hose to touch the power source connection.

Usage and Malfunction:

• If a malfunction occurs (water leaking, cracks, strange noise/odor, smoke, abnormal heat), immediately cut off power by unplugging the power plug and close the water shutoff valve. Continued use could cause fire, electrical shock, injury, or water damage.

• Refrain from sitting on the seat for long periods to avoid low-temperature burns. For individuals unable to set the temperature appropriately (young children, the elderly, the ill), another person should turn off the toilet seat heater and set the dryer temperature to “Low”.

• Do not stick a finger or anything else into the warm air outlet. Do not place anything on or drape clothes over it.

• When leaking battery fluid adheres to your body or clothes, wash it away with clean water.

CAUTION: May result in injury or property damage.

• Do not use the product if the main unit is unstable, as it may come loose and fall.

• If the product is damaged, do not touch the damaged section. Replace it immediately.

• Do not apply strong force, step on, or stand on the toilet seat, lid, or main unit. Do not place heavy objects on it.

• Do not lift the product by the toilet seat or lid. Do not raise the seat or lid while objects are resting on top.

• When maintaining plastic parts, use a pH-neutral kitchen detergent diluted with water. Do not use toilet cleaner, household cleaner, benzene, paint thinner, powdered cleanser, or nylon scrubbing brushes.

• To prevent a sudden water leak, do not remove the drain plug with water supply filter when the shutoff valve is open.

• Do not fold, crush, or damage the water supply hose.

• If the ambient temperature is likely to drop to 32°F (0°C) or lower, prevent damage from freezing by regulating room temperature or draining the water.

• When not using the product for a long time, close the shutoff valve, drain the water, and turn the power OFF.

• If the bowl is clogged, turn the power OFF and remove the clog before allowing auto flush to function to prevent overflow.

• Push the main unit securely onto the base plate until a click sound is heard.

• When replacing batteries, replace both with new ones of the same brand, ensuring correct polarity. Remove depleted batteries immediately.

For prevention of damage:

• Wipe plastic areas like the main unit and remote control with a soft cloth tightly wrung out with water.

• Do not lean against the toilet lid.

• Do not use the product with the toilet lid removed.

• Do not expose to direct sunlight, as it may cause color changes or malfunction.

• Use radios and similar devices away from the product to avoid interference.

• Do not urinate on the main unit, toilet seat, or wand.

• When using a toilet cleaner, rinse it off within 3 minutes and leave the toilet seat and lid open. Wipe off any cleaner that remains on the bowl.

For prevention of malfunctions and failures:

• Do not block the remote control transmitter or receiver.

• Turn the power OFF if there is a risk of a lightning strike.

• A toilet seat cover or lid cover cannot be used, as it may interfere with the body and seat sensors.

• If you use a booster seat for infants, remove it after use.

• Do not apply force to the remote control. To prevent dropping it, set it in the hanger when not in use. Do not expose it to water.

• Do not place anything on the toilet seat or press it with your hands, as this may activate the seat sensor and cause the wand to spray water.

The seat sensor turns on when you sit on the toilet seat, enabling various functions. For proper detection:

• A label indicates the position of the seat sensor. Sit on the seat with the label as a guide (the label can be peeled off).

• Sit down so that the seat sensor touches your skin directly. The sensor may not detect properly if there is a seat cover or clothing in between.

• Detection may be difficult for small children depending on how they sit.

• If you use a booster seat for infants, the seat sensor may not detect properly.

• Water droplets on the seat sensor may cause a malfunction. Be sure to wipe off any water droplets on the sensor.

Follow these steps to prepare your TOTO SW4726 for its first use:

1. Insert the battery in the remote control

1.1 Remove the remote control from the hanger.

1.2 Open the battery cover, insert two AAA dry cell, alkaline batteries, and close the cover. When batteries are properly loaded, all LEDs on the remote control will light up for about 2 seconds.

1.3 Mount the remote control in the hanger.

2. Turn on the power

2.1 Insert the power plug into the outlet. The wand will extend and then retract.

2.2 Check that the “Power” LED on the main unit illuminates.

3. Open the shutoff valve

3.1 Fully open the shutoff valve.

If the Power light is off:

You can switch the power “ON” using the remote control. To do this from the back of the remote, press the “Power ON/OFF” button for 3 seconds or longer.

The auto functions on your TOTO SW4726 operate based on your presence, as described below (based on default settings). “EWATER+” is used automatically to clean the wand and bowl.

1. As you approach:

• Auto open / close: The toilet lid opens automatically (on applicable models).

• Auto bowl CLEAN (Pre-mist): The Bowl light lights up, and a mist is automatically sprayed inside the bowl to make it more difficult for dirt to adhere.

2. As you sit:

• Deodorizer: The deodorizer starts, removing odors inside the bowl. Water will also come out from the area around the wand for several seconds while it is being warmed up.

3. As you stand up:

• Auto power deodorizer: Starts about 10 seconds after you stand up and stops about 60 seconds later.

• Auto flushing: About 10 seconds after you stand up, the toilet flushes. The type of flush (light or full) depends on how long you were seated.

• Auto wand CLEAN: Only operates if washing functions were used. About 25 seconds after you stand up, the wand extends to clean itself with EWATER+.

• Auto bowl CLEAN (After-mist): After the auto wand clean (or after about 25 seconds if washing functions weren’t used), an EWATER+ mist is sprayed on the bowl unit.

4. As you move away:

• Auto open / close: The toilet lid and seat close (on applicable models).

“EWATER+” helps the self-cleaning wand feature work effectively and helps prevent the accumulation of dirt that can cause stains.

• “EWATER+” is generated from chemicals already present in potable water.

• “EWATER+” helps to minimize dirty surfaces, but does not make cleaning unnecessary.

• The effect of rinsing with “EWATER+” can vary depending on the frequency of toilet use and other conditions.

Operate the controls on the remote control; a beep sounds when the main unit receives the signal. Sit down so that the seat sensor touches your skin directly to use the washing and drying functions.

Front of Remote:

• Stop: Stops the Rear washing, Front washing, or Warm air drying operation.

• Rear washing: Washes your rear.

• Rear soft washing: Washes your rear with a soft, embracing water flow.

• Front washing: Serves as a bidet for ladies.

• Wide front washing: Gently washes a wide area.

• Warm air drying: Dries your rear.

• Water pressure adjustment (+/-): Adjusts the water pressure to one of five levels. [-] is softer, [+] is stronger.

• Wand position adjustment (▲/▼): Adjusts the washing position to 5 different points between the front and the rear.

• Pulsating washing: Washes with water pressure pulsating between soft and strong.

• Oscillating washing: The wand moves back and forth to wash your rear thoroughly.

• Wand CLEAN: Cleans the wand with “EWATER+”. After cleaning, water comes out from around the wand.

• Power deodorizer: Increases suction power to remove odor. Cannot be used unless you are seated.

• Flushing (Full/Light): Performs a full or light flush. The button type varies depending on your toilet bowl.

• Opening/closing the toilet seat and lid: Opens and closes the toilet lid and/or seat on applicable models.

• Personal setting: Allows up to four users to register their preferred “Water pressure”, “Wand position”, and “Warm water temperature” settings.

Back of Remote:

• “Power ON/OFF” button: Press and hold for 3 seconds or longer to turn the WASHLET operation ON/OFF.

• Wand cleaning / Manual spray: “Wand cleaning” extends and cleans the wand. “Manual spray” sprays an “EWATER+” mist on the bowl unit.

• Temperature Buttons (Warm water, Toilet seat, Drying air): Adjusts the respective temperatures.

• Energy Saver Buttons (Auto energy saver, Timer energy saver): Activates energy saving modes.

• Auto open/close ON/OFF: Turns the automatic lid function on or off.

• Setting confirmation: The current setting can be discerned from the LEDs.

• Auto flushing ON/OFF: Turns the auto flushing function on or off.

Five different temperature levels from high to low and “OFF” can be set.

1. Remove the remote control from the hanger.

2. On the back of the remote, choose and press the button for the temperature you want to set:

• “Warm water temperature” button

• “Toilet seat temperature” button

• “Drying air temperature” button

The current temperature level will be displayed.

3. Press the button selected in step 2 repeatedly until a desired temperature level illuminates. The setting changes each time the button is pressed once.

4. Mount the remote control back in the hanger.

Note: The “Drying” temperature cannot be turned “OFF”. If a button is not pressed for about 10 seconds, the display LED will go off, but the setting will be retained.

1. Remove the remote control from the hanger.

2. Select the temperature button you want to turn “OFF” (“Toilet seat temperature” or “Warm water temperature”) and press it.

3. Press the button repeatedly until the temperature level is set to “OFF”.

4. Mount the remote control in the hanger. When the seat temperature is OFF, the SEAT LED on the main unit is unilluminated.

You can change various settings on your TOTO SW4726. The table below lists the settings and their options, with the initial (default) settings in bold.

*² The beep sounds when settings are being changed, even if the beep noise is turned off (except for “Pressure/position setting” or “Personal setting”).

You can select “Auto energy saver,” “Auto energy saver+,” or “Timer energy saver” to reduce energy consumption. When an energy saver is on, the temperature of the toilet seat becomes low (or “OFF”).

• Auto energy saver: The product automatically detects time periods with infrequent use and lowers the toilet seat temperature. It takes about 10 days for the product to learn these periods.

• Auto energy saver+: In addition to the “Auto energy saver” feature, this mode automatically turns off the toilet seat heater during time periods when the toilet is not used, saving more energy.

• Timer energy saver: You can set a preset duration of 6 or 9 hours. Once set, the toilet seat heater turns off automatically during that time period every day.

You can also use “Timer energy saver” and “Auto energy saver / Auto energy saver+” together for the maximum amount of energy savings. The “Auto energy saver” feature will operate when the “Timer energy saver” is not active.

Auto energy saver / Auto energy saver+

1. Press the “Auto energy saver” button on the back of the remote control. The setting cycles through “Auto energy saver” (lit), “Auto energy saver+” (lit), and “OFF” each time the button is pressed.

Timer energy saver

1. At the time you want the energy saving period to start (e.g., 11:00 pm), press the “Timer energy saver” button on the back of the remote control repeatedly until the desired duration (6H for 6 hours, 9H for 9 hours) LED illuminates. To turn it off, press until the “OFF” setting is selected.

1. Press the “Auto flushing” button on the front of the remote control.

2. The setting changes between “ON” (LED lit) and “OFF” each time the button is pressed. This determines whether or not to clean the bowl unit automatically after use.

This allows you to change the amount of time before the toilet flushes automatically after you stand up.

1. Press and hold the “Stop” button on the remote control until all LEDs start flashing (about 10 seconds).

2. Press the “Rear washing” button.

3. Press the “Front washing” button.

4. Choose and press one of the following buttons to set the delay:

• SET 1 (Short – about 5 seconds): Press the “Water pressure -” button (Short beeps).

• SET 2 (Standard – about 10 seconds): Press the “Rear washing” button (Long beep).

• SET 3 (Long – about 15 seconds): Press the “Water pressure +” button (Short beep).

When this feature is ON, the bowl unit flushes in conjunction with the movement of the toilet lid when you close it by hand. If the lid is not closed, the bowl unit flushes automatically about 30 seconds after the user stands up (if “Auto flushing” is ON).

1. Press and hold the “Stop” button on the remote control until all LEDs start flashing (about 10 seconds).

2. Press the “Rear washing” button.

3. Press the “Water pressure +” button.

4. Choose a setting:

• To turn ON: Press the “Rear washing” button (Short beep).

• To turn OFF: Press the “Front washing” button (Long beep).

This setting determines whether a mist is automatically sprayed in the bowl unit.

1. Press and hold the “Stop” button on the remote control until all LEDs start flashing (about 10 seconds).

2. Press the “Water pressure +” button.

3. Press the “Front washing” button.

4. Choose a setting:

• To “spray” (ON): Press the “Water pressure +” button (Short beep).

• To “do not spray” (OFF): Press the “Water pressure -” button (Long beep).

You can set whether the deodorizer operates automatically after sitting on the seat and after standing up.

To set the deodorizer after sitting:

1. Press and hold the “Stop” button until all LEDs flash (about 10 seconds).

2. Press the “Water pressure -” button.

3. Press the “Front washing” button.

4. Choose a setting:

• To turn ON: Press the “Water pressure +” button (Short beep).

• To turn OFF: Press the “Water pressure -” button (Long beep).

To set the auto power deodorizer after standing up:

1. Press and hold the “Stop” button until all LEDs flash (about 10 seconds).

2. Press the “Water pressure -” button.

3. Press the “Water pressure +” button.

4. Choose a setting:

• To turn ON: Press the “Rear washing” button (Short beep).

• To turn OFF: Press the “Front washing” button (Long beep).

To enter the light setting mode, first press and hold both the “Stop” button and “Water pressure adjustment +” button on the remote control until the LEDs light or flash (about 10 seconds).

To set the Soft Light:

1. After entering setting mode, press the “Rear washing” button.

2. Press the “Front washing” button.

3. Choose a setting:

• To turn ON: Press the “Water pressure +” button (Short beep).

• To turn OFF: Press the “Water pressure -” button (Long beep).

To set the Bowl Light:

1. After entering setting mode, press the “Rear washing” button.

2. Press the “Water pressure +” button.

3. Choose a setting:

• To turn ON: Press the “Rear washing” button (Short beep).

• To turn OFF: Press the “Front washing” button (Long beep).

To set the Night Light Mode:

1. After entering setting mode, press the “Front washing” button.

2. Press the “Water pressure +” button.

3. Choose a setting:

• ON: Press the “Rear washing” button (Short beep). Soft light is always on, Bowl light is on when someone is detected.

• OFF [STANDBY]: Press the “Front washing” button (Long beep). Lights operate as specified in their individual settings.

• TIMER: Press the “Water pressure -” button (Short beep). The light turns ON/OFF every 12 hours starting from the set time.

You can set whether or not the unit makes a beep sound when it receives a signal from the remote.

1. Press and hold both the “Stop” button and “Water pressure adjustment +” button on the remote control until the LEDs light or flash (about 10 seconds).

2. Press the “Water pressure -” button.

3. Press the “Rear washing” button.

4. Choose a setting:

• To turn ON: Press the “Water pressure +” button (Short beep).

• To turn OFF: Press the “Water pressure -” button (Long beep).

This feature allows up to four users to register their preferred wand position, water pressure, and warm water temperature. This cannot be performed if the “Personal setting lock” is set to “OFF”.

1. Press the “Personal setting lock” button on the remote. The setting changes location (Register 1, 2, 3, or 4) each time the button is pressed. Select the location you want to set.

2. During a washing cycle (e.g., “Rear washing”), set your preferences for “Wand position”, “Water pressure”, and “Warm water temperature”.

3. Press and hold the “Personal setting lock” button for about 5 seconds or longer to save the settings.

To use a registered setting, simply press the “Personal setting” button to select your registered number, then press the desired wash button.

Power Plug (Approx. once a month):

1. Unplug the power plug and wipe it with a dry cloth to remove dust.

2. Fully insert the power plug back into the outlet.

Main Unit (Approx. daily):

1. Turn the power “OFF”.

2. Wipe the unit with a soft cloth that has been soaked in water and wrung out. For heavy dirt, use a soft cloth with diluted, pH-neutral kitchen detergent, then wipe again with a water-soaked cloth.

3. Turn the power “ON”.

Wand (Approx. once a month):

1. Extend the wand using the “Wand cleaning” function on the remote control.

2. Wipe the wand with a soft cloth that has been soaked in water and wrung out.

3. Press the “Stop” button to retract the wand.

Deodorizing Filter (Approx. once a month):

1. Turn the power “OFF”.

2. Remove the deodorizing filter by holding the tab and pulling outward.

3. Clean the filter with a tool such as a toothbrush. If washing with water, dry it completely before reinserting.

4. Reinsert the filter, pushing firmly until a click is heard.

5. Turn the power “ON”.

Drain Plug with Water Supply Filter (Approx. once every 6 months):

1. Close the shutoff valve.

2. Press the “Wand CLEAN” button to release pressure from the water supply pipe.

3. Turn the power “OFF”.

4. Open the toilet seat and lid.

5. Open the cover and remove the drain plug with a flat-head screwdriver.

6. Clean the filter with a toothbrush.

7. Reinstall the drain plug and close the cover.

8. Turn the power “ON”.

9. Open the shutoff valve.

1. Before starting, turn “Auto flushing” OFF (on applicable models).

2. Use a large bucket to manually flush the bowl unit. Pour water strongly, aiming at the center of the bowl.

3. If the water level is low after flushing, add more water to prevent odors.

4. When water service is restored, first run water from a bath or kitchen faucet to remove air from the pipes. Then, perform a full flush with the toilet.

If the low battery warning mark on the remote control is flashing, please replace the batteries.

1. Unplug the power plug for the main unit.

2. Remove the remote control from its hanger.

3. Open the battery cover and replace both AAA batteries with new ones.

4. Mount the remote control back in its hanger.

5. Turn the power back “ON”.

Note that “ON” and “OFF” settings for features like the energy saver may be canceled when batteries are replaced and will need to be set again.

If the toilet will not be used for a long time or if there is a risk of freezing temperatures (32°F / 0°C or lower), you should drain the water from the unit.

1. Close the shutoff valve.

2. Drain the water from the toilet tank by manipulating the flush lever/button until water stops.

3. Press the “Wand CLEAN” button on the remote to release pressure from the water supply pipe.

4. Turn the power “OFF”.

5. Drain the pipe:

• Open the toilet seat and lid.

• Use a flat-head screwdriver to open the cover on the side of the main unit.

• Loosen the drain plug with water supply filter with the screwdriver and pull it out.

6. If the water supply hose is exposed, drain the water from it by holding it horizontally.

7. After draining, reinstall the drain plug and close the cover.

8. For freeze prevention, set the toilet seat temperature to “High”. Keep the toilet seat and lid closed.

1. Open the shutoff valve. Check that water is not leaking from a pipe or the main unit.

2. If the power is not on, turn the power “ON”. The “Power” LED will illuminate.

3. Discharge water from the wand:

• Keep your hand or arm in contact with the seat sensor.

• Press the “Rear washing” button to discharge water from the wand. You can catch the water in a paper cup.

• Move your hand or arm away from the seat sensor.

A: Is the Power LED illuminated? Is the main unit working?

• Is the breaker on the distribution board turned on? Check for a power outage.

• Is the “Power ON/OFF” setting “OFF”? Switch it to “ON” with the remote control.

• Is the “Power” LED on the main display flashing? The main unit may not be mounted properly. Mount it correctly again.

B: Is the Energy saver LED lit?

• While the LED is lit, the energy saver is in operation, so the toilet seat temperature may be reduced or the heater may be turned off.

C: Is the remote control working?

• Is the low battery warning mark flashing on the remote? If so, replace the batteries.

• Is the remote control transmitter or the main unit’s receiver blocked? Remove any obstructions, dirt, or water droplets.

• When the temperature is low, it takes time for the water to warm up before the wand comes out.

• Has the toilet been used continuously for 2 hours or longer? Operation may be stopped for safety. Stand up from the seat and then use it again.

• The function may stop for safety if the water supply pressure drops significantly. Turn the power OFF and wait 10 seconds before turning it ON again.

• Is there a toilet seat cover or clothing on the seat sensor? Are you sitting without touching the seat sensor? Sit down so your skin directly touches the seat sensor.

• Are you using a toilet seat cover, lid cover, or a seat for infants? Remove any covers.

• Are you pressing the “Wand CLEAN” button? This function cleans the wand with EWATER+ from its base. To clean the wand while it’s extended, perform the “Wand cleaning” maintenance procedure.

• Has a water failure occurred? Press the “Stop” button and wait until water service is restored.

• Is the shutoff valve fully open?

• Is the drain plug with water supply filter clogged? Clean the filter.

• Is the water pressure set to a low level? Adjust it using the remote control.

• Washing functions (“Rear washing”, “Front washing”, etc.) stop automatically after about 5 minutes of continuous use.

• The dryer stops automatically after about 10 minutes of continuous use.

• Does the seat sensor have difficulty detecting you? If you get up slightly or sit leftward on the seat, the sensor may temporarily stop detecting your presence, causing the function to stop prematurely.

• Is the shutoff valve fully open?

• Has a water failure occurred? Use a bucket to flush water.

• Are you pressing the flush button repeatedly? After pressing the button, operation will not be accepted for 10 to 20 seconds.

• Is “Auto flushing” set to “OFF”? Set it to “ON”.

• Auto flushing is not available for about 60 seconds after the bowl unit flushes.

• Auto flushing is not available when the time spent sitting on the toilet seat is less than about 6 seconds. Use the remote control to flush.

• If the body sensor has water droplets or dirt on it, wipe it off.

• Is the toilet seat temperature set to “OFF” or a low level? Adjust the temperature.

• Is the energy saver in operation? When the “Energy saver” LED is on, the feature is active. When you sit on the seat, it will take about 15 minutes to warm up.

• Have you been seated for a long time? After about 20 minutes of sitting, the temperature starts to go down, and after about 1 hour, the heater turns “OFF”. Stand up and sit down again.

• Is a toilet lid or seat cover installed? Remove any covers.

• Is the “Deodorizer” setting turned “OFF”? Set it to “ON”.

• Even after sitting down, do you hear it operate? Ensure your skin is in direct contact with the seat sensor.

• If you hear it operating but odors are not removed, the deodorizing filter may need cleaning. Clean the filter.

• Are you using a separate air freshener? This may reduce the effectiveness of the product’s deodorizer or cause strange odors. Remove the separate air freshener.

• Check if the “Soft light”, “Bowl light”, or “CLEAN indicator” settings are turned “OFF”. You can set them to “ON” in the settings menu.

The main unit can make various operational sounds during normal use:

• When entering the bathroom: If “Auto bowl CLEAN” is “ON”, you may hear the pre-mist spraying.

• When using washing functions: You may hear the sound of the pump operating.

• When moving away after use: You may hear sounds from the “Auto power deodorizer,” “Auto wand CLEAN,” or “Auto bowl CLEAN” functions. You may also hear the fan ventilating the unit for about 30 minutes.

• When not using the product (e.g., at night): If you do not use the washing functions for about 8 hours, you may hear the “Auto wand CLEAN” or “Auto bowl CLEAN” functions operating to maintain hygiene.
