To ensure the system operates efficiently, observe the following precautions:

• Adjust the room temperature for a comfortable environment. Avoid excessive heating or cooling.

• Prevent direct sunlight from entering a room during cooling operation by using curtains or blinds.

• Keep doors and windows closed. If they remain open, room air will flow out and decrease the effect of cooling and heating.

• Never place objects near the air inlet and air outlet of the unit, as it may cause it to not operate effectively or stop.

• Turn off the main power supply switch when not using the unit for long periods to save energy. Remember to turn the main power supply switch back on 6 hours before restarting operation.

• Ventilate the room regularly, especially when using the unit for long periods.

For example, if the temperature on the downstairs controller is increased from 21 to 23 degrees, the upstairs controller will also indicate 23 degrees.

Follow these steps to prepare the unit for a long period of non-use:

1. Turn on FAN OPERATION for half a day to dry the unit.

2. Cut off the power supply. Turn off the main power supply switch to save energy, as some power is consumed even when the system is not operating. The display on the wired controller will vanish when the power is off.

3. Ensure the drain piping from the indoor unit is free of blockage.

Before starting the unit after a long stop, confirm the following:

• Check if a fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped. Please contact and notify qualified technicians to check this.

If the system stops after operating for a while, check for the following:

• Check if the air inlet or outlet of the outdoor or indoor unit is blocked by obstacles. Remove the obstacle and make it well-ventilated.

• Check if the air filter is clogged. Clean the air filter(s) as per maintenance instructions.

If the system is running but performance is poor, check these points:

• Check if the air inlet or outlet of the indoor or outdoor unit is blocked with obstacles. Remove them to ensure good ventilation.

• Check if the air filter is clogged. Clean the air filter(s).

• Check if the set temperature is within a comfortable range.

• Check if the FAN SPEED CONTROL button is set to high. If you normally use a low fan speed, ensure the air filter is clean.

• Check if doors or windows are open. Shut them to prevent outside air from coming in.

• Check if direct sunlight is entering the room (when cooling). Use curtains or blinds.

• Check if there are too many occupants in the room or if there is an excessive heat source (when cooling). The cooling effect decreases if the heat gain of the room is too large.

In the unlikely event that a fault develops, the microprocessor in the indoor and outdoor units will diagnose the fault and display a unique 2-digit fault code on the LCD screen (e.g., E0). If this occurs, write down the fault code, switch off the unit, and contact your installer. This code will indicate to the installer/repairer what the problem may be.
