To enjoy all smart features and services on your TCL C6K Google TV, you will need a free Google account, a free TCL account, and a reliable broadband internet connection.

Please observe the following safety precautions for your TCL C6K:

Power and Connection:

Ensure your domestic mains supply voltage matches the voltage indicated on the sticker at the back of the set.

The mains plug, AC inlet, or appliance coupler should remain readily operable to disconnect the device.

To completely disconnect the TV, the mains plug must be pulled out.

During thunderstorms, disconnect the TV set from the mains and aerial to prevent damage from electrical surges.

Unplug the TV immediately if you notice a smell of burning or smoke. Never open the TV set yourself to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Environment and Placement:

The TV’s components are sensitive to heat. The maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 35° Celsius.

Do not cover the vents on the back or sides. Leave at least 10cm of clearance around the television for adequate ventilation.

Install the appliance away from heat sources (like a fireplace) or devices creating strong magnetic or electric fields.

Moisture in the room should not exceed 75% humidity. Moving the set from a cold to a warm place can cause condensation; let it evaporate before switching the TV on again.

The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on it.

To prevent the spread of fire, keep candles or other open flames away from the product at all times.

Physical Stability:

A television set may fall, causing serious injury or death. To avoid this:

ALWAYS use cabinets, stands, or mounting methods recommended by the manufacturer.

ALWAYS use furniture that can safely support the television set.

ALWAYS ensure the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.

ALWAYS route cords and cables so they cannot be tripped over, pulled, or grabbed.

NEVER place a television set in an unstable location.

NEVER place the TV on tall furniture without anchoring both the furniture and the TV to a suitable support.

NEVER place items that might tempt children to climb, such as toys and remote controls, on top of the television or its supporting furniture.

To prevent injury, the TV must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the installation instructions.

To clean your TCL C6K, use a glass-cleaning product for the screen and a soft cloth with mild detergent for the rest of the set. It is important to avoid using strong detergents, alcohol-based, and abrasive products as they may damage the screen.

You should also dust the vents at the back and sides of the TV regularly. If an object or liquid enters the appliance, unplug it immediately and have it checked by an authorized engineer. Do not open the appliance yourself.

Hanging the TCL C6K requires at least two people, depending on the TV’s dimension. To ensure a safe installation, observe the following safety notes:

Check that the wall can support the weight of the TV set and the wall mount assembly.

Follow the mounting instructions provided with the wall mount.

The TV set must be installed on a vertical wall.

Make sure to use only screws suitable for the material of the wall.

Ensure that the TV set cables are placed so that there is no danger of tripping over them.

You can access channels on your TCL C6K in several ways using the remote control:

Using the Navigation Direction buttons: Press the up/down buttons on the remote control to scroll through the channels.

Using the OK button: Press the OK button to display the channel list. Then use the navigation buttons (up/down/left/right) and OK to select a channel.

Using the CH∧/∨ buttons: Press the CH∧/∨ buttons on the remote control to scroll through the channels.

Using the numeric buttons: Press the corresponding numeric buttons on the remote to go directly to a channel.

Using the 123 button: Press the 123 button to display the virtual remote control keyboard. You can then use the numeric buttons or the List button to operate accordingly.

To watch connected devices on your TCL C6K, press the source button on the remote control to display the source list. Use the left/right navigation buttons to select TV or other input sources and press OK to confirm.

To adjust the volume on your TCL C6K, press the VOL+/- buttons on the remote control to increase or decrease the volume.

To temporarily mute the sound, press the mute button. To restore the sound, press the mute button again or the VOL+ button.

Follow these steps to access the Smart TV homepage on your TCL C6K:

1. Press the home button on the remote control to display the Smart TV homepage.

2. Press the navigation buttons (up/down/left/right) and OK to enter the desired Apps, functions, or settings.

3. Press the back button to return to the homepage.

Note: Before using Smart TV applications, you must configure the network settings. Slow responses or interruptions may occur depending on your network conditions.

The Settings menu allows you to adjust TV settings like picture and sound. To access and use it:

1. Press the settings button (gear icon) on the remote control to display the dashboard menu.

2. Select (All settings) and press OK to enter the main settings menu.

3. In submenus, press the up/down navigation buttons to select menu options. Then press OK or the right navigation button to enter the option list or corresponding submenu. You can also press OK to toggle a setting on or off, or press the left/right navigation buttons to adjust a setting.

4. Press the back button to return to the previous menu.

This section describes how to search and store channels automatically. This may be needed if you skipped channel installation in the initial setup, if you are prompted that there are no channels, or if you want to update your channels.

1. In TV mode, press the settings button on the remote control and select (All settings) > Channels and inputs > Channels > Channel scan. Press OK or the right arrow to enter.

2. The TV installs channels according to your country. Press the up/down arrows to select Country/Region, and press OK to enter. If prompted, enter the password you have set in the (All settings) > System > Lock menu.

3. Press the up/down arrows to select Automatic search and press OK to enter.

4. Press the up/down arrows to select Tuner mode and then use the left/right arrows to select Cable, Antenna or Satellite. (Note: The Satellite option is available only in selected models.)

5. Use the up/down arrows to select and configure other options as needed.

6. After configuration is complete, use the down arrow to select Search and press OK to start scanning for channels.

7. The channel search may take a few minutes. After the search, channels are arranged in a preset order.

Before using the hands-free TV voice control, connect the TCL C6K to the network. Then follow these steps:

1. Turn the built-in MIC switch on your TV set to the “on” position. Please refer to the Quick Start Guide to find the location of the MIC switch.

2. In Google TV mode, press the Google Assistant button on the remote control.

3. Select “Yes, I’m in”.

4. Say “OK Google” or “Hey Google” to activate it.

Notes:

A quiet surrounding is required for better function. The recommended distance for use is within 2 meters in front of the TV.

Turn the built-in MIC switch to “off” if you are not going to use it.

The availability of hands-free TV voice control depends on your region, country, and language.

Standby power consumption will increase because the built-in MIC is always listening when enabled.

This feature is only available in Google TV mode.

Notes: The remote control type may be changed without notice. App buttons may differ depending on the model. Follow the on-screen guide to pair the remote control with the TV when pressing the Google Assistant button for the first time.

To install batteries in the remote control for your TCL C6K:

1. Push to open the back cover as illustrated in the user manual.

2. Insert two AAA batteries according to the polarities marked on the battery case.

3. Replace the back cover.

CAUTION: There is a risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

Please follow these precautions when using batteries:

Only use the specified battery types (AAA).

Make sure you use the correct polarity.

Do not mix new and used batteries.

Do not use rechargeable batteries.

Disposing of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting it, may result in an explosion.

Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature environment (sunshine, fire, hot surface) may result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not using it for a long period of time.

Pay attention to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

The Bluetooth technology in your TCL C6K uses the 2.4GHz frequency. Close proximity to Wi-Fi access points, routers, or microwave ovens might interfere with Bluetooth audio streaming. If you experience interruptions in audio reception, you should restart your Bluetooth device to find a frequency with less interference. If you continue to face issues, you should move closer to the TV or increase the space between the TV and the source of interference.

In the European Union, electrical and electronic equipment and batteries should not be disposed of as general household waste at their end-of-life. Instead, these products should be handed over to the applicable collection points for recycling in accordance with your national legislation and the Directives 2012/19/EU, 2006/66/EC, and 2008/12/EC.
