To enjoy all smart features and services on your TCL Q6C Google TV, a free Google account, a free TCL account, and a reliable broadband internet connection are required.

Please follow these safety guidelines for your TCL Q6C:

• Ensure your domestic mains supply voltage matches the voltage on the identification sticker at the back of the TV.

• The maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 35° Celsius. The moisture in the room should not exceed 75% humidity.

• Do not cover the vents on the back or sides of the TV. Leave more than 10cm of clearance around the television for adequate ventilation.

• Install the appliance away from heat sources (e.g., fireplace) or devices creating strong magnetic or electric fields.

• During thunderstorms, disconnect the TV from the mains and aerial to prevent damage from electrical surges.

• If you notice a smell of burning or smoke, unplug the TV set immediately. Do not open the TV set yourself.

• The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on it.

• To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the TV to rain or moisture.

• Keep candles or other open flames away from the product at all times.

A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as:

• ALWAYS use cabinets or stands or mounting methods recommended by the manufacturer of the television set.

• ALWAYS use furniture that can safely support the television set.

• ALWAYS ensure the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.

• ALWAYS educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls.

• ALWAYS route cords and cables connected to your television so they cannot be tripped over, pulled or grabbed.

• NEVER place a television set in an unstable location.

• NEVER place the television set on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support.

• NEVER place the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.

• NEVER place items that might tempt children to climb, such as toys and remote controls, on the top of the television or furniture on which the television is placed.

For screen cleaning, use a glass-cleaning product. For the rest of the set, use a soft cloth and mild detergent.

Important: Using strong detergents, alcohol-based, and abrasive products may damage the screen. Dust the vents at the back and sides regularly. If an object or liquid enters the appliance, unplug it immediately and have it checked by an authorized engineer.

Warning: This operation requires at least two people, depending on your TV’s dimension. To ensure a safe installation, observe the following safety notes:

• Check that the wall can support the weight of the TV set and wall mount assembly.

• Follow the mounting instructions provided with the wall mount. For certain models, make sure to screw the hexagonal VESA wall mounting screw bosses (and screws) provided with the set into the nuts for the wall mount at the back of your set before wall mounting.

• The TV set must be installed on a vertical wall.

• Make sure to use only screws suitable for the material of the wall.

• Make sure that the TV set cables are placed so that there is no danger of tripping over them.

You can access channels using several methods on your remote control:

• Using the Navigation Direction buttons: Press ∧/∨ on the remote control to scroll through the channels.

• Using the OK button: Press the OK button to display the channel list, then use ∧/∨/〈/〉 and OK to select a channel.

• Using the CH ∧/∨ buttons: Press the CH ∧/∨ buttons on the remote control to scroll through the channels.

• Using the numeric buttons: Press the corresponding numeric buttons on the remote control to go directly to a channel.

• Using the 123 button: Press 123 to display the virtual remote control keyboard, then you can use the numeric buttons or the List button to operate accordingly.

Press the VOL+/- buttons on the remote control to increase or decrease the volume. To temporarily mute the sound, press the mute button. Press this button again or the VOL+ button to restore the sound.

To access the Smart TV homepage, which allows you to enjoy Internet Applications (Apps) and perform system settings, follow these steps:

1. Press the home button on the remote control to display the Smart TV homepage.

2. Press ∧/∨/〈/〉 and OK to enter the desired Apps, functions, or settings.

3. Press the back button to return to the homepage.

Note: Since the connection with the Internet takes time, it’s recommended that you wait a few minutes to use the Smart TV feature after activating the TV from standby. Configure your network settings before using Smart TV applications. Be aware that slow responses or interruptions may occur depending on your network conditions.

The Settings menu allows you to adjust TV settings like picture and sound.

1. Press the settings button on the remote control to display the dashboard menu.

2. Select (All settings) and press OK to enter the settings menu.

3. In submenus, press ∧/∨ to select menu options, then press OK/〉 to enter the option list or corresponding submenu. You can also press OK to toggle settings on or off, or press 〈/〉 to adjust a setting.

4. Press the back button to return to the previous menu.

This section describes how to search and store channels automatically. This may be done if you skipped the channel installation in the initial setup, are prompted that there are no channels, or want to update your channels.

1. In TV mode, press the settings button on the remote control and select (All settings) > Channels and inputs > Channels > Channel scan. Press OK/〉 to enter.

2. The TV installs and arranges channels according to your country or region. Press ∧/∨ to select Country/Region, and press OK/〉 to enter. Enter the password you have set in the (All settings) > System > Lock menu. Press ∧/∨ to select your country or region and press OK to confirm.

3. Press ∧/∨ to select Automatic search and press OK to enter.

4. Press ∧/∨ to select Tuner mode and press 〈/〉 to select Cable, Antenna or Satellite. (Note: Satellite option is available only in selected models.)

5. Press ∧/∨ to select other options to configure.

6. After configuration is completed, press ∨ to select Search and press OK to start scanning channels.

7. The channel search may take a few minutes. After the automatic search, channels are arranged in a preset order. If you want to edit the channel list, press the settings button on the remote control, select (All settings) > Channels and inputs > Channels > Edit Channels and press OK to enter.

Before using the hands-free TV voice control, connect the TV to the network. Then follow the steps below:

1. Turn the built-in MIC switch to on. (Please refer to the Quick Start Guide to find the MIC switch on your TV set).

2. In Google TV mode, press the Google Assistant button on the remote control.

3. Select “Yes, I’m in”.

4. Say “OK Google” or “Hey Google” to activate it.

Notes:

• A quiet surrounding is required for better function. The recommended distance for use is within 2 meters in front of the TV.

• Turn the built-in MIC switch to off if you are not going to use it.

• The availability of hands-free TV voice control depends on your region/country/language.

• Standby power consumption will increase because the built-in MIC is always listening when enabled.

• This feature is only available in Google TV mode and for selected models.

The remote control supplied with your TCL Q6C can be used to navigate through menus and configure all general settings. The button functions are as follows:

• Power: Standby / quit standby.

• Mute: To switch the sound off and back on.

• Numeric buttons: To enter channel numbers or a digit.

• Source: To select input source.

• Quick Settings: To display the Quick Settings panel.

• Colour buttons: To select tasks or Teletext pages; to be used for HbbTV function.

• Circular D-Pad: Navigation direction buttons (∧/∨/〈/〉).

• OK: To confirm an entry or selection.

• Back: To return to the previous menu or quit an App.

• Dashboard: To display the dashboard menu.

• Google Assistant: Press to talk to the Google Assistant (Available only in Google TV mode and when the network connection is normal).

• Home: To access the Smart TV homepage.

• EPG: To access the Electronic Programme Guide (only available for digital channels). Or access DTV EPG (Available only in Google TV mode).

• VOL+/-: To control the volume.

• 123: To pop up the virtual remote control keyboard when available.

• Info (i): To display programme information, if available.

• CH ∧/∨: To change channels.

• NETFLIX: To access Netflix if available.

• prime video: To access Prime video if available.

• YouTube: To access YouTube if available.

• Media Player: To access Media Player.

• TCL CHANNEL: To access TCL Channel.

• Disney: To access Disney.

1. Push to open the back cover as illustrated.

2. Insert two AAA batteries according to the polarities marked on the battery case.

3. Replace the back cover as illustrated.

CAUTION: Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

• Only use the battery types specified.

• Make sure you use the correct polarity.

• Do not mix new and used batteries.

• Do not use rechargeable batteries.

• Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, may result in an explosion.

• Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment, such as sunshine, fire, or hot surface may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

• A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

• Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not using it for a long period of time.

• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

In the European Union, the symbols of a crossed-out wheeled bin indicate that the electrical and electronic equipment and the battery with this symbol should not be disposed of as general household waste at their end-of-life. Instead, the products should be handed over to the applicable collection points for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment as well as batteries for proper treatment, recovery and recycling in accordance with your national legislation and the Directive 2012/19/EU, 2006/66/EC and 2008/12/EC.

By disposing of these products correctly, you will help to conserve natural resources and will help to prevent potential negative effects on the environment and human health which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of these products.
