• Do not forget to add additional refrigerant if required.

• Never operate the air conditioner without the return air filter(s) in place. Operating without filters will allow dust to build up and may cause a malfunction not covered by warranty.

If the TCL TCD100D1HWH-DV is operating during a power failure, it may automatically restart in the same mode when the power is restored.

To ensure optimum operation, observe the following precautions:

• Dust may blow out from the unit when starting it after a long period of inactivity. This is dust that has settled in the unit being blown out.

• The unit can absorb smells from rooms, furniture, cigarettes, etc., and then emit them during operation.

This happens immediately after the main power supply switch is turned on. It shows that the wired controller is in a normal condition and will only continue temporarily.

You should turn off the main power switch and contact your TCL dealer or an appointed maintenance center. The system must be repaired by a qualified service person.

If water leaks from any location besides the drain pipe, stop the operation and contact your TCL dealer or an appointed maintenance center.

In the unlikely event of a fault, a 2-digit fault code will display on the LCD screen (e.g., E0). If this occurs, write down the fault code, switch off the unit, and contact your installer. This code will help the installer/repairer identify the problem.

If the system does not operate and there are no evident malfunctions, check the following:

• Check if there is a power failure. Wait for power to be restored. The system may restart automatically.

• Check if a fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped. If so, please contact and notify qualified technicians to check.

If the system stops after a period of operation, check the following:

• Check if the air inlet or outlet of the outdoor or indoor unit is blocked by obstacles. Remove any obstacles to ensure it is well-ventilated.

• Check if the air filter is clogged. Clean the air filter(s) as per the maintenance instructions.

If the system operates but performance is poor, check the following:

• Check if the air inlet or outlet of the indoor or outdoor unit is blocked. Remove any obstacles.

• Check if the air filter is clogged. Clean the air filter(s).

• Check if the set temperature is within a comfortable range.

• Check if the fan speed is set to high. If you normally use a low fan speed, ensure the air filter is clean.

• Check if doors or windows are open. Shut them to prevent outside air from coming in.

• Check for direct sunlight entering the room (when cooling) and use curtains or blinds.

• Check if there are too many occupants or an excessive heat source in the room (when cooling), as this increases the heat load.

2. Clean the air filter(s): After cleaning the air filter, make sure to reattach it.

3. Turn on the main power supply switch: To protect the unit, turn on the main power switch at least 6 hours before operation. The display on the wired controller will be shown when the power is turned on.

Clean the grille with a soft cloth. If it is difficult to remove stains, use water or a neutral detergent.

NOTE: Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, polishing powder, or liquid insecticide, as it may cause discoloring or warping. Do not let the indoor unit get wet, as it may cause an electric shock or a fire.

This is not a malfunction. You need to wait one minute until the microcomputer is prepared for operation.

This is normal operation. The outdoor unit stops because the room temperature has reached the set temperature. The indoor unit will switch to fan-only operation.

This can occur when the system reverts to HEATING OPERATION after a DEFROST OPERATION. The moisture generated by the defrost process becomes steam and is discharged, which appears as a white mist. This is normal.
