Please adhere to the following safety warnings when using the TCHIBO 638 073:

• The product is designed for use as decorative lighting in private homes and is not suitable for illuminating entire rooms.

• The product is intended for use in dry indoor rooms and must not be used outdoors or in rooms exposed to high levels of humidity.

• Swallowing batteries can be fatal. If a battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal chemical burns and even death within 2 hours. Therefore, keep both new and old batteries and the product out of the reach of infants. Discontinue use of the product and keep it out of the reach of children if the battery compartment no longer closes correctly.

• If you think that a battery has been swallowed or has got into the body in any other way, seek medical advice immediately.

• Single-use batteries must not be charged, taken apart, thrown into fire or short-circuited.

• Remove the batteries from the product if they are flat or if you do not intend to use the product for a longer period of time. This will prevent damage caused by leakage.

• Always replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries, and do not use different types or brands of batteries, or batteries with different capacities. Ensure that the polarity (+/-) is correct when inserting the batteries.

• If a battery has leaked, avoid all contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If necessary, rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor immediately.

• Clean the contacts on the batteries and appliance as needed before inserting the batteries. Risk of overheating!

• Protect the product from dust, moisture, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

• The LEDs are built into the light and cannot be replaced. Do not attempt to replace the LEDs. Opening the light will damage it.


How do I insert or replace the batteries in my TCHIBO 638 073?

The battery compartment is on the bottom of the light. Follow these steps to insert or replace the batteries:

1. Loosen the screw on the battery compartment and remove the battery compartment lid.

2. Insert the batteries as illustrated inside the battery compartment. Ensure that the polarity (+/-) is correct when doing so.

3. Place the battery compartment lid back on and fix it in place by tightening the screw.


How do I use the on, off, and timer functions on the TCHIBO 638 073?

To operate the TCHIBO 638 073, use the TIMER / OFF / ON switch:

• To turn the light on with the timer function activated, slide the TIMER / OFF / ON left towards TIMER. The light is now switched on for 6 hours. The light will then turn off for 18 hours, then back on for 6 hours, and so on.

• To turn the light on normally without the timer function activated, slide the TIMER / OFF / ON switch right towards ON.

• To turn the light off, slide the TIMER / OFF / ON switch back into the centre position, OFF.
