To insert the batteries into your TCHIBO 609 898 magnifying glass, you will need to open the battery compartment located on the handle, which is secured by a screw. When inserting batteries, please observe the following:

• Use two LR03 (AAA)/1.5 V batteries.

• Always replace all batteries at the same time.

• Do not use different types or brands of batteries or batteries with different capacities.

• Ensure that the polarity (+/-) is correct when inserting the batteries.

To use the TCHIBO 609 898 magnifying glass in its standing position, follow these two steps:

1. Unfold the handle to form the stand’s arm.

2. Attach the separate base to the bottom of the handle.

The position of the magnifying glass head on the TCHIBO 609 898 can be adjusted by tilting it up or down to your desired angle.

To switch the built-in LEDs on and off, press the button located on the handle of the TCHIBO 609 898 magnifying glass.

The TCHIBO 609 898 magnifying glass is suitable for indoor use in dry rooms. It is designed for private use and is not suitable for commercial purposes.

Please read the following safety warnings carefully before using your TCHIBO 609 898 magnifying glass.

DANGER to children

• The product is not a toy. Keep the product out of the reach of children.

• Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children. There is a risk of suffocation!

• Swallowing batteries can be fatal. If a battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal chemical burns and even death within 2 hours. Therefore, keep both new and old batteries and the product out of the reach of children. If you think that a battery has been swallowed or has got into the body in any other way, seek medical advice immediately.

WARNING – risk of damage to eyes / fire

• Never look at the sun through the magnifying glass. There is otherwise a risk of losing your sight!

• Risk of fire! Never leave the magnifying glass exposed to direct sunlight. The magnifying glass concentrates the energy from the sunrays, which can heat flammable material up so much that it catches fire.

• If a battery leaks, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If necessary, rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor immediately.

• Batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into fire or short-circuited. In addition, single-use batteries must not be charged.

CAUTION – risk of injury and material damage

• The magnifying glass is fragile. There is a risk that the glass could break, resulting in injury!

• Protect the batteries from excessive heat. Remove the batteries from the product when they are flat or if you do not intend to use the product for a longer period of time. This will avoid damage that may be caused by leakage.

• Due to the long service life of the light-emitting diodes (LEDs) it is not necessary to replace them. They cannot and must not be replaced. The light-emitting diodes are securely mounted in the magnifying glass.

To clean the TCHIBO 609 898, wipe it off as necessary with a slightly damp cloth.

Device Disposal

The TCHIBO 609 898 must not be disposed of along with normal household waste. You are legally obliged to dispose of old devices separately from household waste. Information about collection points where old devices can be disposed of free of charge is available from your local authorities.

Battery Disposal
