What are the general safety warnings for this LED Outdoor Table Lamp?
Please read the safety warnings carefully and only use the product as described in these instructions to avoid accidental injury or damage.
The product is intended for decoration in private homes, not for lighting whole rooms. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use for private, non-commercial purposes.
Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children as they pose a risk of suffocation.
Never allow children to use electrical appliances unsupervised, as they may not be aware of the risks involved.
The product is suitable for outdoor use and complies with protection type IP44, meaning it is protected against splashes of water like rain. However, you should protect it from heavy rain and streams of water. The product must not be operated under water, as this would cause a short circuit and present a risk of electric shock.
Do not connect the product to a dimmable wall socket.
The product must not be electrically connected to fairy lights or anything similar.
Do not use the product if the product itself, the connection cable or the mains adapter shows any visible signs of damage.
Do not make any modifications to the product. Only have repairs to the product carried out by a specialist workshop or as arranged by our customer care service.
Do not position the product in hollows or depressions where puddles might form.
Do not use any caustic, aggressive or abrasive products for cleaning.
The product is suitable for outdoor use from a minimum temperature of approx. -10 °C. In colder temperatures, keep the product indoors to prevent damage.
The product is not made to withstand strong winds or storms. Dismantle the product in good time or stow it in a sheltered location if strong winds or storms are forecast.
What precautions should be taken regarding the connection cable and mains adapter?
Only connect the product to a properly installed wall socket with a mains voltage that complies with the technical specifications of the mains adapter.
Do not use an extension cable.
Always plug the connection plug into the connection socket and connect the connection cable to the mains adapter before you plug the mains adapter into the wall socket. Always unplug the mains adapter from the wall socket before pulling the connection plug out of the connection socket or removing the connection cable from the mains adapter.
Remove the mains adapter from the wall socket if malfunctions occur, during thunderstorms, or before cleaning. To unplug, always pull on the mains adapter, not the connection cable.
Ensure that the wall socket used is easily accessible so that you can quickly disconnect the mains adapter whenever necessary.
The product must only be operated using the enclosed connection cable and mains adapter.
The connection cable must not be kinked or crushed. Keep the connection cable away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
Route the connection cable in such a way that it cannot be tripped over. The cable is not suitable/approved for burying underground.
What are the safety guidelines for the built-in lithium battery and LEDs?
The product contains a lithium rechargeable battery. Do not expose the product to open flames, high temperatures, mechanical stress, etc. There is a risk of overheating, explosion and short-circuit.
The built-in LEDs cannot and must not be replaced.
The rechargeable battery is firmly built into the lampshade and cannot be replaced. You should not attempt to replace it yourself. If the rechargeable battery or the lampshade itself becomes damaged, get in touch with our customer care service or dispose of the product.
How do I set up and connect the lamp to the mains?
1. Assemble the lamp as illustrated in the instructions.
2. Insert one end of the connection cable into the connection socket on the bottom of the lampshade and the other end into the connection socket on the mains adapter. Screw the protective cap tight.
3. Insert the mains adapter into a wall socket.
How do I switch the lamp on/off and adjust the brightness?
The lamp features a step-dimming function with three different levels of brightness.
To turn on: Briefly tap the On/Off switch 1x to turn the lamp on. The LEDs will light up at 100% brightness.
To change brightness: Press and hold the On/Off switch for approx. 2 seconds, several times if necessary, to change the light intensity. The light intensity will change as follows: 100% > 50% > 25% > 100% > 50% > 25% and so on.
To turn off: Briefly tap the On/Off switch 1x to turn the lamp off.
Memory feature: The next time the lamp is switched on, it lights up at the brightness that was last set.
How do I charge the battery and what do the indicator lights mean?
You can operate the lamp in battery mode or by connecting it directly to the mains power supply. The rechargeable battery comes in a half-charged state to prevent damage. Charge the rechargeable battery prior to first use.
You can also switch on the lamp while it is charging. However, it will take significantly longer for the rechargeable battery to be fully charged.
During charging, the charging indicator light on the underside is lit up in red. Once the battery is fully charged it turns green.
To preserve the rechargeable battery’s full capacity for as long as possible, you should recharge the battery every 2 months, even if you do not use the lamp. The battery will best hold its charge at normal room temperature. The lower the temperature, the shorter the battery life. If it does not charge, remove the connection cable for a minute and then try again.
NOTICE – material damage: Always cover the connection socket with the protective flap after charging or whenever you remove the connection plug from the lamp to ensure that the connection socket is protected from moisture.
How should I clean the lamp?
1. Disconnect the mains adapter and the connection cable, if necessary.
2. Wipe down all parts of the lamp with a slightly damp sponge.
How should I properly dispose of the lamp, battery, and packaging?
The product, its packaging and the built-in rechargeable battery have been manufactured from valuable materials that can be recycled. Recycling reduces the amount of refuse and preserves the environment.
Dispose of the packaging at a recycling point that sorts materials by type. Make use of the local facilities provided for collecting paper, cardboard and lightweight packaging.
Appliances, single-use batteries and rechargeable batteries marked with the crossed-out bin symbol must not be disposed of along with household waste! You are legally obliged to dispose of old appliances separately from household waste. Electronic appliances contain hazardous substances and, if stored or disposed of improperly, may cause harm to health or the environment. Information about collection points where old appliances can be disposed of free of charge is available from your local authorities.
Flat single-use and rechargeable batteries must be handed in at a local authority collection point or returned to a battery retailer. Tape off the contacts of lithium single-use/rechargeable batteries prior to disposal.
Warning! This appliance contains a rechargeable battery that, for safety reasons, is firmly built into the appliance and cannot be removed without destroying the casing. Improper disassembly leads to safety hazards. For this reason, take the appliance intact to a collection point where the appliance and battery will be disposed of properly.
