How do you use the Flavor Scenter™ Well?

Use the Flavor Scenter™ Well to infuse meats, vegetables, fish, chicken, or seafood with savory flavors and aromas. Mesquite flavored cooking sauces, marinades, liquid smoke, fruit juices such as apple, lemon, or lime juice, and barbecue sauces work well with various foods. Avoid using whole herbs or spices in the Well as they tend to burn or char. After filling the Well, be sure the Well Cover is in place by fitting the “feet” of the Cooking Grid into the slots on the Well cover.

What are the steps for making mushroom smothered steaks?

  1. Fill FlavorScenter™ Well with favorite mesquite cooking sauce.
  2. Preheat grill at high for 10 – 12 minutes.
  3. Salt and pepper both sides of steaks and add to grill. Grill 8 – 10 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
  4. As steaks are cooking, combine mushroom slices, olive oil, cooking or steak sauce and savory. Blend to mix. Add to grill and cook, turning often, until mushrooms are soft (about 4 – 7 minutes).
  5. To serve, place steaks on individual plates and cover each steak with half the mushrooms. Serve immediately.

What are the steps for making grilled shrimp and vegetables?

  1. Fill FlavorScenter™ Well with lemon juice. Preheat grill at high for 10 – 12 minutes.
  2. Combine squash and zucchini slices, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and basil in a small bowl. Stir to mix. Add to grill.
  3. Combine shrimp, 1 tablespoon olive oil, soy sauce and sesame seeds. Stir to mix. Add shrimp to grill.
  4. Cook vegetables and shrimp about 5 – 7 minutes, or to desired doneness, turning frequently.
  5. Serve over rice or couscous.

What vegetables are recommended for grilling?

Mushrooms, zucchini, summer squash, onions, and red/green pepper strips are recommended.
