To prevent accidents and machine damage, it is crucial to read the instructions before installation or use. Keep the instructions in a safe place and pass them on to any future owner.
Use:
This appliance is for residential use only and not suitable for outdoor use.
Any usage other than described is not supported by the manufacturer and could be dangerous.
Persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities should only use the appliance under supervision.

Children:
Activate the system lock to prevent children from switching on the oven inadvertently.
Do not allow children to clean the oven unsupervised.
Supervise children near the oven and do not let them play with it.
Dispose of plastic wrappings and bags safely, out of reach of children, to avoid suffocation risk.
The appliance gets very hot. Keep children away to prevent burns. The door, control panel, and vents get hot.
The door supports a maximum of 22 lbs (10 kg). Do not let children hang, lean, or sit on the open door.
Technical Safety:
Installation, repair, and maintenance should be performed by a Miele authorized service technician.
Never use a damaged appliance.
Ensure the appliance is properly installed and grounded by a qualified technician.
Before connecting, ensure the data on the data plate (voltage, frequency) matches the power supply.
Do not use an extension cord.
The oven must not be used in a non-stationary location (e.g., on a ship).
Do not open the outer casing of the appliance.
Replace defective components with Miele original parts only.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a special connection cable type H 05 VV-F (PVC insulated).
Disconnect the oven from the electrical supply before any maintenance or repair work.
If the oven is installed behind a cabinet door, do not close the door while it’s in operation or before it has completely cooled down.
What are the guidelines for proper use of the MIELE DGC 6600-1 combi steam oven?
Proper Use:
Danger of burning: The oven becomes hot. Use dry, heat-resistant potholders when handling food, accessories, or adjusting shelves in a hot oven. Do not let potholders touch hot heating elements.
Do not heat food in closed containers (e.g., tins, sealed jars) as pressure can build up and cause an explosion.
Only use plastic containers declared suitable for steam ovens by the manufacturer, resistant to 210°F / 100°C.
Do not leave food in the oven to keep warm, as it can dry out and cause corrosion damage.
Do not leave the appliance door open unnecessarily.
The door supports a maximum weight of 22 lbs (10 kg). Do not sit, lean, or place heavy items on the open door.
Never leave the oven unattended when cooking with oil and fat, as they can ignite. If a fire occurs, switch the oven off and keep the door closed to suffocate the flames. Do not use water.
Do not use the oven to heat a room.
Excessive broiling can cause food to dry out and catch fire. Do not exceed recommended broiling times.
To avoid fueling flames, if you see smoke, turn off the appliance and keep the door closed until the smoke dissipates.
Use caution with alcohol in recipes, as it can evaporate and combust on hot heating elements.
Never cover the oven floor with aluminum foil or place dishes directly on it.
Always use the drain filter to prevent the drain and pump from being blocked by food residues.
To prevent damage, do not leave the roast probe in the oven when not in use.
Ensure power cords of other appliances (e.g., a hand mixer) do not get caught in the door.
Do not operate the appliance without the lamp cover.
Install the oven at a safe height for easy access to all cooking levels.
Do not store flammable materials in or near the oven.
Open the door carefully to allow hot air or steam to escape before placing or removing food.
Keep oven vent ducts open.
Always place oven racks at their desired height while the oven is cool.
Caution: Heating elements may be hot even if not glowing. Do not touch interior surfaces or let flammable materials come into contact with them until they have cooled.
What are the guidelines for cleaning and caring for the MIELE DGC 6600-1?
Cleaning and Care:
Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the oven, as steam can penetrate electrical components and cause a short circuit.
To prevent the door glass from breaking, do not use abrasive cleaners, hard sponges, or sharp metal tools on it.
Ensure side runners are replaced correctly after cleaning; do not use the oven without them.
To avoid corrosion, remove any splashes from food or liquids containing salt from the stainless steel surfaces.
Accessories:
Use only genuine original Miele parts to avoid voiding the warranty.
Only use the supplied Miele roast probe. If it’s faulty, replace it with a genuine Miele roast probe.
The plastic on the roast probe can melt at high temperatures. Do not use it with broil functions (except Convection Broil). Do not store the roast probe in the oven.
The perforated and solid cooking pans will be damaged by high temperatures. Use them only in modes and programs that work exclusively with steam.
