What are the installation steps for the I-PRO WV-QCA504 audio cable?
The following steps show an example of installation on a WV-U25550-F3L camera:
Step 1: Using the bit that comes as a camera accessory, loosen the screws on the dome cover and remove it from the camera body.
Step 2: If the camera has a cable bush already installed in the cable port, remove it and discard it. If the camera does not have a cable bush, this step is not necessary.
Step 3: Insert the I-PRO WV-QCA504 audio cable into the camera body. Align the “△” Mark on the audio cable’s connector with the “■” Mark on the camera body port, and push the connector in until it clicks into place.
How do I connect and waterproof the external audio cables for the I-PRO WV-QCA504?
Step 4:
Connect your external audio devices to the Audio in (white) and Audio out (black) cables.
Note the maximum cable lengths:
• Audio in (white): Less than 1 m {3.28 feet} for Mic connection, or less than 10 m {32.8 feet} for Line connection.
• Audio out (black): Less than 10 m {32.8 feet}.
To waterproof the connection:
• Stretch the included waterproof tape to approximately twice its original length before use.
• Wrap the stretched tape around the connection point, covering approximately 30 mm {1-3/16 inches} of the cable on one side of the connection and 20 mm {25/32 inches} on the other side.
• To shorten the taped portion, you can wind the tape while keeping some slack in the audio cable.
