The MIELE CVA 7845 coffee machine is intended for the following uses:

• It is intended for household use only.

• It should not be used outdoors.

• It must not be used at altitudes above 6560 ft (2000 m).

• It is designed for preparing drinks such as espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, tea, etc. All other types of use are not permitted.

• Persons who lack physical, sensory, or mental abilities or experience with the machine should not use it without supervision or instruction by a responsible person.

Please observe the following safety measures concerning children:

• Danger of burning and scalding at the dispensers. Children’s skin is more sensitive to high temperatures. Ensure children do not touch hot surfaces or place body parts under the dispensers.

• Keep the coffee system out of reach of children.

• Children must be constantly supervised when near the coffee machine.

• Do not allow children to play with the coffee system or use its controls.

• Children must not be allowed to clean the coffee machine unsupervised.

• Remember that coffee and espresso are not suitable drinks for children.

• Danger of suffocation. Keep packaging material, such as plastic wrapping, away from children as they may become entangled in it or pull it over their heads.

• Installation and repairs should only be done by a Miele authorized technician.

• Before building in the machine, check for any visible damage. Do not use a damaged machine.

• Before connecting, ensure the voltage and frequency on the data plate match your household electrical supply.

• Ensure the appliance is properly installed and grounded by a qualified technician.

• Do not connect the machine using an extension cord or power bar.

• The machine may only be used when it has been built in.

• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

• Unplug immediately if you notice damage or a burning smell.

• The coffee machine must not be installed behind a closed cabinet door.

• Disconnect from power by tripping the circuit breaker, removing the fuse, or unplugging the power cord by pulling the plug, not the cord.

• Danger of burning: The liquids and steam from the dispensers are very hot. Keep away from the area underneath the dispensers and do not touch hot components.

• Risk of injury to eyes: Never look directly at the lighting or use optical instruments like a magnifying glass.

• Water quality: Use cold, fresh tap water. Do not use sparkling, hot, or warm water. Change the water daily.

• Coffee beans: Only use roasted coffee beans. Do not use ground coffee, green (unroasted) beans, or beans treated with caramel, sugar, or other substances.

• Milk: Use only plain, pasteurized milk. Sugary additives can clog the lines.

• Do not place flaming alcohol mixtures underneath the central spout.

• Do not swing from or hang anything on the open machine door.

The touch display is delicate and should only be touched with your fingers. It is split into multiple areas:

• Header: Shows the menu path on the left and the time of day on the right. Tap a menu name to switch to that menu. Tap the home symbol () to return to the start screen.

• Center: Shows the current menu and options. Swipe your finger left or right to scroll through options.

• Footer: Shows options that vary depending on the selected menu, such as DoubleShot (), Save, or OK.

To select an option, simply touch the desired menu option or value on the display. It will light up orange.

Entering numbers with the roller:

1. Swipe the roller up or down until the value you want is displayed centrally in orange.

2. Confirm with OK.

Entering numbers with the numerical keypad:

1. Tap the centrally displayed orange value and hold your finger on it until the keypad appears.

2. Select the value. Once a valid value is entered, OK turns green. Use the back arrow () to delete the last number.

3. Confirm with OK.

Entering a name:

1. Use the on-screen keyboard to tap the letters or characters for your desired name (short names are best).

2. Use the back arrow () to delete the last character.

3. Tap Save.

Moving entries:

1. In a menu like Drinks or Profiles, touch an entry and keep your finger on it until the context menu appears.

2. Select Move. An orange border appears.

3. Tap the selected entry, keep your finger on the display, and drag the entry to the required position.

The pull-down menu provides access to a schematic representation of the bean containers and to Expert Mode.

1. Tap the orange line at the top edge of the screen and drag down with your finger to open it.

2. Active settings within the menu are highlighted in orange.

3. To close the pull-down menu, drag it back up to the top or tap an area of the display located outside of the menu window.

Before using for the first time:

1. Connect the coffee machine to the plumbed-water and power supplies and install it.

2. Remove any notices and the protective foil from the drip-tray cover.

3. Clean the water container, bean containers, and the central spout.

4. Have the Miele Cleaning Cartridge and Miele Descaling Cartridge ready.

Turning on and initial setup:

1. Tap the On/Off button ().

2. Select the desired display language and location.

3. Set up the Miele@home network connection or select Skip to do it later.

4. Set the date and the current time of day. Confirm with OK.

5. Set the water hardness for your area. Your local water authority can provide this information.

6. Select the water supply (Main Water). Choose “On” for the plumbed connection or “Off” to fill the water container manually.

7. Follow the prompts for setting up automatic cleaning and descaling.

Inserting the cartridges:

1. You will be prompted to insert the cleaning cartridge. Open the appliance door and remove the maintenance container.

2. Pull the cleaning cartridge holder forward, take the new cartridge, unscrew the cap, and screw it into the holder upside down.

3. Push the holder back until it clicks. Now insert the descaling cartridge by pulling its holder forward, inserting the new cartridge, and sliding the holder back.

4. Put the maintenance container back and close the door.

Final steps:

1. Select the desired Performance Mode (Eco, Barista, or Latte).

2. Set up the bean system by filling the bean containers, naming the bean types, and allocating them to drinks as prompted by the on-screen assistant.

To ensure any residues from factory testing are removed, please throw away the first 2 cups of coffee made with the machine.

You can change the name of your bean types and how they are allocated to different drinks.

1. From the drinks menu, touch the Settings sensor control ().

2. Select “Settings”, then select “Type of beans”.

3. A schematic of the bean containers is displayed. Select a type of beans to modify.

To rename a bean type:

1. Tap “Change name”.

2. Enter the new name you want using the on-screen keyboard.

3. Tap Save.

To change how beans are allocated to drinks:

1. Tap “Change allocation”.

2. If you have user profiles, select the profile you want to edit.

3. A list of all coffee drinks will appear. Drinks already allocated will be highlighted in orange.

4. Select or deselect drinks to change the allocation for the current bean type. You can tap “All drinks” to highlight all of them and then deselect the ones you don’t want.

5. Confirm with OK.

If your MIELE CVA 7845 is plumbed into the water supply, the container will fill automatically when the machine is on. You can also fill it manually at any time.

1. Open the appliance door.

2. Pull the water container forward to remove it.

3. Fill the water container with fresh, cold drinking water up to the max. mark. Do not use hot, warm, or carbonated water.

4. Push the water container back into the appliance.

5. Close the appliance door.

It is important to change the water in the container every day to prevent bacteria buildup and ensure good flavor.

Switching On:

Tap the On/Off switch (). The coffee machine will heat up and rinse the pipework. Hot water will run out of the central spout. After this, you can make drinks.

Switching Off:

Tap the On/Off switch (). If coffee has been dispensed, the machine will automatically rinse the pipework before switching off.

If the coffee machine will not be used for more than 3 days (e.g., during a vacation), follow these steps:

1. Empty the drip tray, the grounds container, and the water container.

2. Clean all parts thoroughly, including the brew unit and the appliance interior.

3. Switch the coffee machine off.

1. Place a suitable cup or glass under the central spout.

2. If you want to make a drink with milk or milk froth, fill the milk flask with cold milk and insert it into the appliance.

3. Select the coffee drink you want from the touch display.

4. Preparation will begin automatically. The central spout will adjust to the height of your cup, and the drink will be dispensed.

To cancel a drink: Press “Stop” or “Cancel” on the display.

For a stronger coffee (DoubleShot): Select the DoubleShot () function before or right after starting a drink. More coffee beans will be ground and brewed.

To make 2 portions: Tap the 2 portions symbol () immediately before or after starting a drink. Place one cup under each of the main dispenser spouts or a single large cup to receive both portions.

The Coffee Pot function allows you to make several cups of coffee (up to 1 L) automatically.

1. Ensure the bean and water containers are sufficiently filled.

2. Place a large container or coffee pot under the central spout.

3. In the drinks menu, scroll to the end and select “Coffee Pot”.

4. Select the number of cups you want to make (from 3 to 8).

5. Follow the instructions on the display. Each portion will be ground and brewed individually. You can monitor the progress on the display.

You can interrupt the process at any time by tapping “Cancel”.

Making Tea:

1. Pour loose tea into a tea filter or place a tea bag in your cup.

2. Place the cup under the central spout.

3. Select the type of tea on the display (e.g., Green Tea, Black Tea). Hot water at the appropriate temperature will be dispensed.

4. If the automatic “TeaTimer” is selected in settings, the timer will start. Otherwise, you can start it manually by tapping “TeaTimer” on the display, adjusting the time if needed, and confirming with OK.

5. When the brewing time is up, an audible signal will sound. Remove the tea leaves or tea bag.

Preparing a pot of tea:

1. Place a large container under the central spout.

2. Select the tea pot option for the desired tea type.

3. Select the number of cups (3 to 8).

Dispensing Warm or Hot Water:

1. Place a suitable container under the central spout.

2. From the drinks menu, choose between “Warm water” (approx. 150°F / 65°C) or “Hot water” (approx. 195°F / 90°C).

3. Dispensing will start automatically.

Expert Mode allows you to temporarily allocate a different bean type or change the portion size while a drink is being made. These changes apply only to the current drink and will not be saved.

Switching Expert Mode On and Off:

1. Tap the top edge of the screen and drag down to open the pull-down menu.

2. Tap “Expert Mode”. It is active when highlighted in orange.

3. To exit the menu, drag it back up or tap outside the menu window.

Allocating Bean Containers in Expert Mode:

1. Open the Expert Mode pull-down menu.

2. Select the bean container you want to use for the current drink.

3. Close the menu window and start making your drink.

Changing Portion Size in Expert Mode:

1. Select a drink from the menu. Note: This function cannot be used with DoubleShot or 2 portions.

2. As the drink is dispensing, a bar will appear on the display labeled “Dispensing”.

3. Tap the bar and adjust the indicator (small triangle) to change the amount of the current ingredient being dispensed (e.g., hot milk, milk froth, espresso).

Adjusting the fineness of the grind affects the extraction time and the taste of your coffee. A setting that is too coarse results in watery, acidic coffee. A setting that is too fine results in bitter coffee.

Important: Only adjust the grinder one setting at a time to avoid damage. Make a new drink after each adjustment for the beans to be ground with the new setting.

1. Open the appliance door.

2. Remove the water container.

3. The slide control for the grinder is located on the top left behind the water container.

4. Push the slide control exactly one setting forward for a finer grind, or one setting backward for a coarser grind.

5. Put the water container back in place.

6. Close the appliance door and make one cup of coffee to test the new setting.

7. Adjust again if required. The grinder will naturally wear over time, so you may need to set it to a finer setting eventually.

You can adjust parameters like bean type, amount of coffee, brewing temperature, pre-brewing, and portion size for each drink.

Changing Parameters (e.g., Amount of Coffee, Temperature):

1. From the drinks menu, tap the name of the drink you want to change and keep your finger on it until the context menu appears.

2. Select “Parameters”.

3. Select the parameter you want to change (e.g., “Amount of coffee”).

4. The current setting is displayed. Change the setting as required.

Changing the Portion Size:

1. Place your desired cup under the central spout.

2. Tap the drink you want to program and keep your finger on it until the context menu appears.

3. Tap “Portion size”.

4. The drink will start to be made. “Save” will appear on the display.

5. When the cup is filled to the level you want, tap “Save”. The new portion size is saved to the current profile.

Resetting Drinks to Factory Defaults:

1. Tap the drink you want to reset and hold until the context menu appears.

2. Select “Reset” and confirm with “Yes”. The portion size and parameters will be reset.

Profiles allow you to save individual preferences for portion sizes and parameters for all drinks.

Creating a profile:

1. From the drinks menu, tap “Profiles”.

2. Tap “Create profile”.

3. Enter a name for the profile and tap “Save”.

Creating a new drink within a profile:

1. Select the desired profile.

2. Tap “Create drink”.

3. Select an existing drink to use as a base.

4. Change the portion size and parameters as desired. Preparation will begin and you can save the portions for each component.

5. Enter a name for the new drink and tap “Save”. It will appear in your profile.

Processing a profile (rename, delete, move):

1. Tap “Profiles”.

2. Tap the profile name you want to edit and hold your finger on it until the context menu appears.

3. Edit the entry as required (e.g., select Rename, Delete, or Move).

MyMiele allows you to create a personalized screen with frequently made drinks, drinks from profiles, and preferred maintenance programs.

Adding an entry to MyMiele:

1. From the main menu, tap “MyMiele”.

2. Tap “Add entry”.

3. You can add entries from the “Drinks”, “Profiles”, or “Maintenance” menus.

4. Select an entry.

5. Confirm the message with OK. A box with the selected option will appear on your MyMiele screen.

Deleting or moving an entry in MyMiele:

1. Go to the MyMiele screen.

2. Tap the entry you want to edit and keep your finger on it until the context menu appears.

3. Select “Move” or “Delete” and edit the entry as required.

MobileStart allows you to start making a drink remotely via the Miele app.

Preparing for MobileStart:

1. Ensure the coffee machine is ready to use (water and bean containers are filled).

2. Place a sufficiently large, empty cup under the central spout.

3. Miele@home must be set up, and the “Remote Control” setting must be switched on.

Switching MobileStart On and Off:

1. From the drinks menu, touch the MobileStart sensor control ().

2. The sensor control will light up, and the time of day will be shown on the display. The machine is now ready to be operated via the app.

3. Operation on the appliance itself takes precedence over the app. After 24 hours, the MobileStart function switches off automatically.

You can personalize your coffee machine by changing various factory default settings.

1. From the drinks menu, tap the “Back” sensor button.

2. Select “Settings”.

3. Select the category you want to change (e.g., Time, Display, Timer).

4. Select the specific option you want to modify.

5. Change the setting as desired.

6. If necessary, confirm your choice with OK.

Some key settings you can adjust include Language, Time, Display brightness, Color scheme, Timer for switching on/off, Performance Mode, Water hardness, and Miele@home options.

You can select a performance mode to suit your preferences. Note that selecting a mode other than Eco Mode increases energy consumption.

• Eco Mode: This is the default setting and consumes the least amount of energy. The system does not heat up until someone starts making a drink.

• Barista Mode: Optimized for coffee enjoyment. The machine remains heated to the brewing temperature, so coffee-based drinks can be made without any delay.

• Latte Mode: Optimized for preparing milk. In this mode, milk-based drinks can be prepared in a much shorter space of time.

• Party Mode: Configured for occasional, intensive use (e.g., family get-togethers). Rinsing cycles are less frequent, and timers are deactivated. The machine switches off 6 hours after the last use.

You need to program the water hardness level of your area so the machine functions correctly and prompts for descaling at the right intervals. Your local water authority can provide this information. The machine is set to 21.8 gpg (21°dH) by default. Use the following table to find the correct setting based on German degrees (°dH), grains per gallon (gpg), or calcium content (mg/l Ca²+).

To change the setting, go to Settings -> Water hardness and select the correct value.

The system lock () prevents the coffee machine from being used by unauthorized persons, such as children.

To activate the system lock:

1. Go to “Settings”.

2. Select “System lock”.

3. Activate the lock.

When the system lock is active, the “On at” timer and movement sensor are deactivated.

To temporarily deactivate the system lock:

Tap the display for 6 seconds. The system lock will be reactivated the next time the coffee machine is switched off.

Regular cleaning is essential for hygiene and proper machine function.

Clean the drip tray and grounds container daily to avoid smells and mold. The machine will prompt you when they are full.

1. Open the appliance door.

2. Remove the drip tray and grounds container from the machine together.

3. Empty the grounds container and the drip tray.

4. To take the drip tray apart for thorough cleaning, press the orange clips on both sides outward to release the lid.

5. Clean the drip tray, lid, and grounds container by hand with warm water and dish soap, or in the dishwasher.

6. Dry all parts. Also clean the contacts (metal discs) on the drip tray with a brush and dry them.

7. Reassemble the drip tray by sliding the lid under the lug and pressing down until the side catches click.

8. Place the grounds container back on the lid and push the entire unit back into the coffee machine.

9. Close the appliance door.

Clean all parts of the central spout at least once a week.

1. Open the appliance door. Make sure the central spout is in the top or middle position first.

2. Pull the stainless steel cover forward to remove it. Clean it by hand with a mild solution.

3. Detach the milk pipework by pulling the tab (marked with ‘1’) to the left.

4. Grip the dispensing unit by its sides and pull it down to remove it.

5. Take the dispensing unit apart into its 3 components: the Y-piece, the spouts, and the holder.

6. Clean all parts thoroughly. All parts except the stainless steel cover can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

7. Clean the area around the central spout inside the machine with a damp cloth.

8. Reassemble the dispensing unit, ensuring parts are tightly connected. Dampening the parts with water makes reassembly easier.

9. Slide the dispensing unit back into the coffee machine, connect the milk pipework, reinstall the stainless steel cover, and close the door. Confirm the “Fit cover to main dispenser” message with OK.

Remove and rinse the brew unit once a week using only warm water. Do not use cleaning agents.

Removing the brew unit:

1. Open the appliance door and remove the water container.

2. Press the button under the handle of the brew unit (1) and, while doing so, turn the handle forward (2).

3. Pull the brew unit to the side (1), then pull it out to the front (2), and tilt it forward (3) to remove it.

Cleaning the brew unit and interior:

1. Clean the brew unit by hand under warm running water.

2. Wipe any coffee grounds off the two filters on the brew unit.

3. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dry coffee grounds from the interior of the appliance.

4. Clean the brew unit niche inside the machine with a damp cloth.

Inserting the brew unit:

1. Push the brew unit back into the machine. If you cannot re-insert it, the drive is not in the correct position.

2. Press the button under the handle (1) and turn the handle backward (2) to lock it in place.

3. Push the water container back into the machine and close the door.

The machine has several maintenance programs for rinsing, cleaning, and descaling.

1. From the drinks menu, touch the Settings sensor control ().

2. Select “Maintenance”.

3. You can now start the desired program:

• Rinsing the machine: Rinses the coffee pipework.

• Rinsing the milk pipework: Rinses the milk system after making a milk-based drink.

• Clean the milk pipework: A full cleaning cycle for the milk system. Follow on-screen instructions. This can be done with the automatic cleaning cartridge or manually with Miele cleaning agent for milk pipework (sticks).

• Degreasing the brew unit: A cleaning cycle for the brew unit to remove coffee oils. Follow on-screen instructions. This can be done with the automatic cleaning cartridge or manually by dropping a cleaning tablet into the brew unit.

• Descaling the appliance: Removes limescale buildup. The machine will prompt you when this is necessary. Follow on-screen instructions and use Miele descaling tablets.

For manual programs, you will be guided through each step by messages on the display.

For the automatic cleaning and descaling programs to run correctly, the following conditions must be met:

• Ready-to-use cleaning and descaling cartridges must be inserted.

• The “Automatic cleaning” setting must be switched on.

• The coffee machine must remain connected to the power supply.

• The drip tray, brew unit, and central spout must be inserted.

• If filling manually, the water container must be inserted and filled at least up to the descaling symbol ().

• Follow any instructions on the display before switching the machine off (e.g., “Empty and refit the drip tray”).

• The machine door must be closed when the program starts.

• The coffee machine must be switched off for the program to begin at its scheduled time.

Replacing the Cleaning Cartridge (AutoCleaner):

1. Open the appliance door and remove the maintenance container.

2. Pull the holder with the cartridge forward and remove both.

3. Unscrew the used cleaning cartridge from the holder and dispose of it.

4. Take the new cartridge, unscrew its cap, and screw the cartridge into the holder upside down.

5. Push the holder and cartridge back into the machine until it audibly clicks into place.

6. Put the maintenance container back in and close the door.

Replacing the Descaling Cartridge:

1. Open the appliance door and remove the maintenance container.

2. Pull the descaling cartridge holder forward and remove the used cartridge.

3. Dispose of the used cartridge with your household waste.

4. Insert the new cartridge and push it upward as far as it will go.

5. Push the cartridge holder back and put the maintenance container in place.

6. Close the appliance door and follow the on-screen instructions.

These codes indicate an internal fault.

• For F1, F2, F80, F82, F353, F354: Switch the coffee machine off. Wait for approximately 1 hour before switching the machine back on again.

• For F74, F77, F225, F226, F235, F353, F354: Switch the coffee machine off. Wait for approximately 2 minutes before switching the machine back on again.

If the error message appears again after restarting, contact Miele Technical Service.

This means the brew unit cannot be positioned correctly or is soiled.

1. Check if you can remove the brew unit. If you can, rinse it under running water.

2. Push the coffee ejector of the brew unit into the correct position (the flap inside should be down).

3. Replace the water container and close the door. Do not insert the brew unit yet. Switch the machine on to initialize the motor.

4. When “Insert the brew unit” appears on the display, put the brew unit back in.

5. If you cannot remove the brew unit, switch the machine off. Wait approximately 2 minutes before switching it back on.

This usually happens because the water container has not been filled and inserted correctly, or the wrong fill level was used.

• Check that you have selected the correct mark. The symbols on the water container indicate the amount of water required:  for Descale Appliance and  for Clean the milk pipework.

• Ensure the container is pushed in until it engages.

• Fill the water container up to the relevant mark and restart the process.

Display remains dark when turned on:

• The On/Off button () was not held long enough. Tap and hold it for at least 3 seconds.

• The plug is not properly inserted into the electrical socket.

• The fuse has tripped. Check the fuse and contact an electrician or Technical Service if needed.

Coffee machine turns off suddenly:

• The factory-set switch-off time (20 minutes) or a programmed time has been reached. You can change this in “Settings – Timer”.

• The plug may not be properly plugged in.

Sensor buttons do not respond:

There may be an internal fault. Disconnect the coffee machine from the power supply by removing the plug or switching off the circuit breaker, then reconnect it.

The brew unit drive is not positioned correctly. To reset it:

1. If the brew unit is out, ensure its handle is in the correct start position.

2. Close the appliance door.

3. Switch the coffee machine off.

4. Wait approximately 1 minute before switching the coffee machine back on.

5. This will initialize the brew unit drive and move it into the correct start position, allowing you to insert or remove the brew unit.

This is not a fault. The brew unit has not detected enough ground coffee. This can happen with certain coffee types, especially if the grinder is set too fine and the amount of coffee is set to minimum.

• Confirm the message “Fill the bean container” with OK.

• If it happens with all coffee types, set the grinder to a coarser setting and select a larger amount of coffee in the drink parameters.

• If it happens only with specific drinks, check the “Amount of coffee” parameter for that drink and select a larger amount. You may also need a coarser grinder setting.

There are several possible reasons for this:

• The cup has not been pre-heated. The smaller the cup and thicker its walls, the more important it is to pre-heat it. Pre-heat the cup with hot water.

• The brewing temperature is set too low. Go to the drink’s Parameters and set a higher brewing temperature.

• The filters in the brew unit are blocked. Remove the brew unit, clean it by hand, and run the “Degrease the brew unit” maintenance program.

This is likely because an insufficient amount of coffee beans are getting into the grinder, resulting in less coffee being brewed.

• Dark roast coffee beans are often oily and can cling to the walls of the bean containers, hindering flow. Clean the bean containers more often if using oily beans.

• Very large or different-sized beans can get wedged and form “bean bridges”. Try pulling the bean containers out slightly and giving them a shake.

• If the issue persists, try using a different type of coffee.

There are two common causes for poor milk froth:

• The milk temperature is too high. Good milk froth can only be achieved with cold milk (below 50°F/10°C). Check the temperature of the milk in the milk flask.

• The milk pipework is blocked and/or the milk valve is soiled. Remove and clean the milk valve thoroughly.

When installing the MIELE CVA 7845 in a tall cabinet, maintain a minimum installation height of 33 7/16″ (850 mm).

The cabinet niche dimensions are:

• Niche Height: 17 15/16″ (455.5 mm)

• Niche Width: 22 1/8″ (562 mm)

• Niche Depth: at least 23 5/8″ (600 mm)

The overall appliance dimensions are:

• Height: 18 1/16″ (459 mm)

• Width: 23 7/16″ (595 mm)

• Depth: 17 1/2″ (444 mm) without door, 24 15/16″ (≥ 633 mm) with door open

You will need a TX 20 screwdriver for installation.

1. Connect the machine to the water and electricity supplies before building it in.

2. Remove the red silicone shipping plug from the screw hole on the appliance door frame by pulling it firmly.

3. Push the coffee machine all the way into the niche, ensuring the electrical and water connections do not get trapped.

4. Check that the machine is sitting centrally and is level.

5. Open the appliance door. You will see screw holes on the side frames.

6. Secure the coffee machine to the side walls of the cabinet using the two supplied TX20 (25 mm) screws. Tighten both screws by hand.

The door hinges are equipped with limiters that restrict the opening angle to approx. 120°. Removing them increases the angle to approx. 170°, making it easier to access components like the bean containers.

Warning: Before removing, make sure there is sufficient space and that the door will not hit an adjacent wall.

To remove the limiters, carefully prize them out from the hinges using a tool like a screwdriver.
