You can change the navigation method on your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1 using one of the following options:

Use the Navigation Dock:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation, and enable Navigation Dock.

2. Once the dock button appears, you can:

– Drag the button to your desired position.

– Touch the button to go back.

– Touch and hold the button, then release it to go back to the home screen.

– Touch and hold the button, then swipe left or right to view recent tasks.

Use Gestures:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation and select Gestures.

2. You can then use the following gestures:

– Return to the parent menu: Swipe inward from the left or right edge of the screen.

– Return to the home screen: Swipe up from the middle of the bottom edge of the screen.

– Access multitasking: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and pause.

– Close a task: In the multitasking interface, swipe up on a task card.

Use Three-key Navigation:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation and select Three keys.

2. After enabling, you can:

– Tap the back key to go to the previous page or quit an app.

– Tap the home key to return to the home screen.

– Tap the recent tasks key to enter the “Recent tasks” page.

You can also choose a combination of different navigation keys and add a key to open the Control Center.

You can use the Device Clone feature on your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1 to quickly and seamlessly move basic data like contacts, calendar, images, and videos from your old phone.

1. On your new HONOR X6C NIC-LX1, open the Device Clone app. Alternatively, go to Settings > System & updates > Device Clone, touch This is the new device, then select the old device type.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install Device Clone on your old device.

3. On your old device, open the Device Clone app and touch This is the old device. Follow the instructions to connect your old device with your new phone, either by scanning a QR code or connecting manually.

4. On your old device, select the data you want to clone, then touch Next > Transfer to start the process.

Note: Device Clone is available on phones running Android 7.0 or later, and iOS 8.0 or later.

Lock the Screen

The screen will lock automatically after a period of inactivity. To manually lock it:

• Press the Power button.

• Use the Screen Lock tool. To add it, pinch two fingers on the home screen, tap Cards > Classic widgets > Widgets, and add Screen Lock to the home screen.

Set Screen Timeout

Go to Settings > Display & brightness > Sleep and select a timeout period.

Turn On and Unlock the Screen

• Turn on the screen: Press the Power button, or go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Screen On/Off and enable Raise to wake or Double-tap to wake.

• Unlock with Password: Once the screen is on, swipe up from the middle and enter your lock screen password.

• Unlock with Face Unlock: Turn on the screen and align it with your face.

• Unlock with Fingerprint: Press an enrolled finger against the fingerprint sensor.

Launch Apps from the Lock Screen

• To open the Camera, light up the screen, touch and hold the Camera icon in the lower right corner, and swipe up.

• To access the quick operation panel (Flashlight, Calculator, etc.), light up the screen and swipe up from the bottom edge.

Display a Signature on the Lock Screen

Go to Settings > Home screen & style, touch Lock screen signature, and type the text you want to display. To remove it, delete the text.

Connect to Mobile Data

1. Make sure mobile data is available on your SIM card.

2. Swipe down from the top right to open the Control Center and turn on Mobile data, or go to Settings > Mobile network > Mobile data and enable it.

Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn it on.

2. Under AVAILABLE NETWORKS, tap the network you want to connect to and enter the password if required.

3. Alternatively, you can tap Add network and enter the network details manually.

Manage Data Usage

Open System Manager and touch Data usage. Here you can view data usage by app, restrict high data-consuming apps, and enable Smart Data Saver to prevent apps from using mobile data in the background.

Share Your Network Connection

You can share your phone’s internet connection with other devices:

• Personal Hotspot: Go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot and enable it. You can set the device name and password.

• Bluetooth Tethering: Go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More and enable Bluetooth tethering after pairing with the other device.

• USB Tethering: Connect your phone to a computer with a USB cable, then go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More and enable USB tethering.

Transfer Data with Wi-Fi Direct

Wi-Fi Direct allows for faster file transfers than Bluetooth without pairing.

1. On the receiving device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and enable it.

2. Go to More settings > Wi-Fi Direct to start searching for devices.

3. On your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1, select the files to share, tap the share icon, and select Wi-Fi Direct.

4. Touch the icon of the receiving device to connect and share.

If your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1 has two SIM cards inserted, you can manage them for calls, data, and call forwarding.

Enable or Disable a SIM Card

Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management, and enable or disable a SIM as needed. A disabled SIM cannot be used for calls, messaging, or internet access.

Name Your SIM Card

For easier identification, go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management, and touch the edit icon to rename each SIM card (e.g., “Work” and “Personal”).

Set Default SIM Cards

Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management and set SIM 1 or SIM 2 as the default for mobile data or calls.

Enable Call Forwarding Between SIMs

This feature forwards calls from one SIM to the other if the first one is unreachable. This requires carrier support.

1. Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management > Call forwarding between SIMs.

2. Select a call forwarding mode and turn on the switch.

Quickly Switch Default Mobile Data SIM

1. Swipe down from the top right of the screen to open the Control Center.

2. Touch the text under the SIM data icon until a prompt is displayed.

3. Select a SIM card and touch OK.

You can customize the home screen of your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1 with service cards, large folders, and personalized layouts.

Manage Service Cards

• Add a card: Pinch two fingers on the home screen, tap Cards, select an app (e.g., Gallery, Weather), choose a style, and tap ADD TO HOME SCREEN.

• Edit a card: Long press a card (e.g., Notes) and select Edit Card to change its content.

• Stack cards: Drag a card onto another of the same size to create a stack. Swipe up or down on the stack to view different cards.

Use Big Folders

• Switch to a Large Folder: Press and hold a small folder and tap Enlarge.

• Access apps: Tap an app icon directly from the large folder to open it.

• Manage folder: Long press to rename it. Open the folder and tap the plus icon to add or remove apps.

Personalize Layout and Icons

• Rearrange icons: Touch and hold an icon until it enlarges, then drag it to a new position.

• Lock layout: Pinch two fingers on the home screen, access Settings mode, and enable Lock layout.

• Use App Drawer: Go to Settings > Home screen & style > Home screen style and select Drawer to store all apps in a drawer, keeping your home screen tidy.

Set Wallpaper

1. Open Gallery and select the image you want to use.

2. Go to the options menu (three dots) > Set as > Wallpaper and follow the onscreen instructions.

Use the Control Center

Swipe down from the top right of the screen to open the Control Center for quick access to shortcut switches (like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth). Tap a switch to toggle it on/off. Tap and hold a switch to go to its detailed settings page.

The status icons on your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1 provide information about your phone’s status. The icons may vary by region and carrier.

Power On and Off

• To power off: Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons, then touch Power off and Touch to power off.

• To power on: Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until the device vibrates and displays the logo.

Restart Your Device

• Normal restart: Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons, then touch Restart and Touch to restart.

• Forceful restart: If the phone is not working, press and hold the Volume down and Power buttons for more than 10 seconds to force a restart.

Charge Your Phone

1. Use the standard adapter and USB cable that came with your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1.

2. Connect the USB cable to the adapter and your phone.

3. Plug the adapter into a power socket.

You can also charge your phone by connecting it to a PC with the USB cable. When the “Use USB to” dialog box appears, touch Charge only.

Charging Precautions:

• Using other chargers may cause slow charging, overheating, or other issues.

• If moisture is detected in the USB port, charging will be limited for safety. Wait for the port to dry.

• Do not cover your phone or charger during charging.

• Do not use your phone while it is charging.

Battery Icons Overview

YOYO Agent (AI Mobile Assistant)

1. To wake it up for the first time, go to Settings > HONOR AI > AI button and ensure the switches are on.

2. Short press the side button to enter AI Mobile Assistant and view shortcuts.

3. Tap a shortcut like Cleanup to perform a task automatically.

4. You can edit commands and add apps to the shortcuts for quick access.

Easy Projection (Wireless Screen Projection)

1. Ensure the large display (like a TV) supports Miracast/cast+ and its wireless projection is on. If not, connect a wireless HDMI adapter.

2. On your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1, swipe down from the top right to open the Control Center.

3. Enable Wireless Projection. Your phone will search for available devices.

4. Select the large display from the device list to complete the connection.

HONOR Print

1. Connect your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1 and a Mopria-certified printer to the same Wi-Fi network.

2. Go to Settings > More connections > Print > Default Print Service and enable it.

3. To print a file (e.g., a picture from Gallery), open it, tap the share/more options, select Print or export to PDF, select the printer, and follow the instructions.

HONOR Share

HONOR Share uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct to quickly transfer files between devices.

1. Enable HONOR Share on both the sending and receiving devices from the Control Center or Settings > More connections > HONOR Share.

2. On the sending device, select the file(s), tap the share icon, and select HONOR Share.

3. Tap the name of the receiving device.

4. On the receiving device, tap ACCEPT to receive the files.

Launch Camera

Open the Camera app from the home screen or swipe up the camera icon from the bottom right of the lock screen.

Basic Photo Taking

1. Open Camera and select PHOTO mode.

2. Focus: Tap on the screen where you want to focus.

3. Adjust brightness: Tap the screen and swipe the sun icon up or down.

4. Zoom: Pinch with two fingers or use the zoom slider.

5. Flash: Tap the flash icon to set it to Auto, On, Off, or Always on.

6. Tap the shutter button to take a photo.

Use Different Camera Modes

• PORTRAIT Mode: Select this mode to beautify faces and blur the background. Tap the beauty icon to adjust the effect.

• NIGHT Mode: Select this mode for shooting in low light. Hold your phone steady until the countdown finishes.

• PANORAMA Mode: Go to Camera > MORE > Panorama. Tap the shutter and move the camera slowly in the direction of the arrow on the screen.

• PRO Mode: This mode gives you manual control over settings like ISO, shutter speed (S), exposure compensation (EV), and white balance (WB).

Use Special Features

• Burst Photos: In PHOTO mode, touch and hold the shutter button to take a sequence of photos.

• HDR: In PHOTO mode, tap the top menu > HDR to improve light and shadow effects in high-contrast scenes.

• Timer: Tap the top menu > Timer and select a duration for a delayed shot.

• Stickers: Go to Camera > MORE > Stickers to add decorative stickers to your photos.

Shooting Videos

1. Open Camera and select VIDEO mode.

2. You can zoom, tap to focus, and turn on the flash as you would for photos.

3. To adjust resolution and frame rate, tap the settings icon.

4. Tap the record button to start shooting. Tap it again to pause, and the stop button to end the recording.

Shooting Slow-Mo Videos

Use Slow-mo mode to capture fleeting moments in detail. For best results, shoot in bright, natural lighting.

Shooting Time-Lapse Videos

Go to Camera > MORE > TIME-LAPSE. Place your phone in a steady position, ideally on a tripod, and tap the record button to capture long processes like sunsets or blooming flowers and condense them into a short video.

Editing Videos

1. Open Gallery, go to Albums, and touch the video you want to edit.

2. Tap the edit icon to open the video editing screen.

3. You can perform the following edits:

– Template: Select a preset theme with music and effects.

– Edit (Trim): Touch the timeline and drag the sliders to trim the video to the desired length.

– Filters: Apply various filter effects.

– Music: Add preset background music, your own local music, or extract audio from another video.

– Text: Add text with various templates and styles.

– PIP (Picture in Picture): Add other photos or videos on top of your main video.

4. When finished, touch Export to save the video.

Viewing Photos and Videos

• Photos Tab: View items by shooting time. Pinch in or out to switch between monthly and daily views.

• Albums Tab: View items organized into albums, such as Camera, Screenshots, and Videos.

Organizing Albums

• Add Album: In the Albums tab, touch the plus icon, name the album, and add photos or videos to it.

• Sort Albums: Tap the options menu (three dots) > Sort albums, then drag albums to reorder them.

• Move Photos: Open an album, touch and hold to select items, then touch the options menu > Move to select the destination album.

• Hide Albums: Touch and hold the photos/videos you want to hide, tap the options menu > Hide > OK. To view hidden items, go to the Albums page, tap the options menu > Hidden items.

Deleting and Recovering

• Delete: Touch and hold an item or album, then touch Delete.

• Recover: Deleted items are moved to the Recently deleted album for a period before permanent deletion. To recover, open Recently deleted, select the items, and touch the restore icon.

Sharing Photos and Videos

• Share a single item: Open a photo or video and tap the share icon.

• Share multiple items: In an album, long press an item to enter multi-selection mode, select all the items you want to share, and tap the share icon.

• Safe Photo Sharing: This feature removes location and shooting data from photos when sharing to protect your privacy. On the sharing screen, tap Privacy options to enable it.

Screenshot and Screen Recording

• Take a Screenshot:

– Press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons simultaneously.

– Swipe down from the top right for the Control Center and tap the Screenshot icon.

– Knock the screen twice with one knuckle (enable in Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Screenshot/Global Favourites).

– To take a scrolling screenshot, swipe down on the screenshot thumbnail after taking it.

• Record the Screen:

– Swipe down for the Control Center and tap Screen Recorder.

– Knock the screen twice with two knuckles (enable in Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Record screen).

– To stop, touch the timer at the top of the screen. The recording will be saved to Gallery.

Multi-Window (for multitasking)

Enable the dock in Settings > Accessibility features > Multi-Window.

• Open a floating window: Swipe inwards from the left or right edge of the screen and hold to open the Multi-Window dock. Tap an app to open it in a floating window.

• Activate split-screen:

– From the Multi-Window dock, press and drag an app onto the screen.

– While in a full-screen app, swipe up from the bottom edge to the top-left or top-right corner icon and release.

• Manage windows: You can resize, move, minimize, or close floating windows. In split-screen, you can drag the divider to resize the app windows or swap their positions.

• Drag and Drop: Use Multi-Window to drag images, text, or documents between two open apps (e.g., from Files to Notes).

Manage Contacts

• Create a contact: Open the Contacts app, tap the plus icon, enter the information, and save.

• Search contacts: In the Contacts app, use the search bar at the top.

• Merge duplicates: Go to the options menu (three dots) > Settings > Organize contacts > Merge duplicate contacts.

• Delete contacts: Long press a contact to select it, then tap Delete. To restore, go to Settings > Organize contacts > Recently deleted.

Make a Call

• Open the Phone app, enter a number, or search for a contact, and tap the call icon.

• You can set up Speed dial in Phone > Settings > Speed dial.

Manage Incoming Calls

• Answer/Reject: Tap the green button to answer or the red button to reject. You can also tap the message icon to reject with a message.

• Call Waiting: If you receive a new call while on another, you can touch the green button to answer it, which puts the first call on hold. You can then switch between the two calls.

Emergency SOS and Calls

1. Go to Settings > Safety & emergency > Emergency SOS.

2. Add emergency contacts and enable the desired options (e.g., Send SOS message automatically).

3. In an emergency, press the Power button five times in quick succession to automatically send a message with your location to your emergency contacts.

You can also make emergency calls from the lock screen, even without a signal, by tapping EMERGENCY.

Calendar App

• Add Events: Open Calendar, tap the plus icon, and enter details like title, location, and time. You can also set a reminder.

• Create To-Do Lists: Go to Calendar > To-dos and select the plus icon. You can set reminders, priority levels, and categories for your tasks.

• Search for an Event: On the Events screen, touch the search icon and enter keywords.

• Share Schedules: Open an event, tap the options menu, and select Share.

• View Holidays: Go to Calendar > Settings > National/Regional holidays and turn on the switch for a country to display its holidays.

Clock App

• Set Alarms: Go to Clock > Alarm and tap the plus icon to add an alarm. You can set the time, ringtone, and repeating interval.

– To snooze, touch the snooze button or press the Power button when the alarm rings.

– To turn off, swipe the button at the bottom of the screen.

• Use the Timer: Go to Clock > Timer, set a duration, and touch the play button to start the countdown.

• Use the Stopwatch: Go to Clock > Stopwatch and touch the play button to start timing an event.

• Display Dual Clocks: If you are away from your home time zone, go to Settings > System & updates > Date & time, enable Dual clocks, and set a Home city to display both local and home time on the lock screen.

Biometrics & Password

• Face Recognition: Go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Face Recognition to enroll your facial data. You can use it to unlock your phone and access locked apps.

• Fingerprint ID: Go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Fingerprint ID to enroll your fingerprints. You can use it for unlocking, accessing your Safe, and authorizing payments.

• Lock Screen Password: Set a numeric, pattern, or hybrid password in Settings > Biometrics & password > Lock screen password.

App Lock

Protect apps containing private data.

1. Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Device & data protection > App Lock > ENABLE.

2. Follow the instructions to set an App Lock password and select the apps you want to lock.

3. You can link App Lock with your face or fingerprint ID for easier access.

Privacy Settings

• Location Services: Manage which apps can access your location by going to Settings > Apps > Permission manager > Location. You can grant or deny permission for each app.

• Permission Manager: Go to Settings > Apps > Permission manager to review all permissions (like Camera, Microphone, Contacts) and see which apps have access. You can revoke permissions you deem unnecessary.

Phone Safe Mode

If you suspect a third-party app is causing issues, you can boot into Safe Mode. To enter, press and hold the Power and Volume Up keys as the phone powers on, then select Safe mode. In this mode, only system apps run. If the problem disappears, a third-party app is likely the cause. You can then restart normally and uninstall recently installed apps.

The HONOR X6C NIC-LX1 offers a range of accessibility features to assist users. You can find them under Settings > Accessibility features.

For Vision Assistance:

• Magnification: Zoom in on areas of the screen. Enable in Accessibility > Magnification. Triple-tap the screen to zoom.

• Colour correction: Adjusts screen colors for users with color vision deficiency.

• Colour inversion: Reverses screen colors for better readability.

• High contrast text: Darkens font color to make text easier to read.

For Hearing Assistance:

• Captions: Converts spoken audio into text on the screen.

• Flash for Alerts: The camera flash and screen will blink for incoming calls, notifications, or alarms.

• Mono audio: Merges stereo audio channels into a single mono channel, useful for individuals with hearing impairment in one ear.

• Audio balance: Adjust the volume balance between the left and right audio channels.

For Interaction Control:

• Accessibility shortcut: Set the volume buttons to quickly launch an accessibility feature. Configure it in Accessibility > Accessibility shortcut.

• Power button ends call: Allows you to end a call by pressing the Power button.

• Adjust Touch Response Time: Customize the duration for taps and long presses.

• Scheduled power on/off: Set your phone to automatically power on and off at specific times.

Update Your Phone System Online

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > Software update, and touch Check for updates.

2. If an update is available, you can download and install it manually. It is recommended to connect to a Wi-Fi network to avoid data charges.

3. You can also enable Update overnight to have your phone update automatically while you sleep (requires the phone to be powered on, screen locked, no alarms set, and battery over 35%).

Back Up Data to an External Storage Device

1. Connect your HONOR X6C NIC-LX1 to a USB storage device (like a flash drive) with a USB OTG cable.

2. Go to Settings > System & updates > Backup & restore > Data backup > External storage and select USB storage.

3. Tap BACK UP, select the data you want to back up, and follow the instructions. You will be prompted to set a password for the encrypted backup.

Recover Data from an External Storage Device

1. Connect the USB storage device containing the backup.

2. Go to the same External storage screen and select the appropriate backup record from the RESTORE FROM BACKUP list.

3. Select the data to recover, tap Restore, and enter the password if prompted.

Reset Settings

• Reset Network Settings: This will reset Wi-Fi, mobile data, and Bluetooth settings without deleting your data. Go to Settings > System & updates > Reset > Reset network settings.

• Reset All Settings: This restores network settings, lock screen passwords, and home screen layout but does not delete files or data. Go to Settings > System & updates > Reset > Reset all settings.

Restore Factory Settings (Factory Reset)

This will erase all data on your phone, including accounts, apps, music, and images. Make sure to back up your data first.

Go to Settings > System & updates > Reset > Reset phone, and follow the onscreen instructions.
