1. On your new HONOR MAGIC7 PRO 5G PTP-N49, open the Device Clone app. Alternatively, go to Settings > System & updates > Device Clone, touch “This is the new device”, then select the old device type.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install Device Clone on your old device.

3. On your old device, open the Device Clone app and touch “This is the old device”. Follow the instructions to connect your old device with your new phone by scanning a code or connecting manually.

4. On your old device, select the data you want to clone, then touch Next > Transfer to start the process.

Lock the Screen:

• The screen locks automatically after a period of inactivity.

• Press the power button to lock it manually.

• Add the “Screen Lock” widget to your home screen. To do this, pinch two fingers on the home screen, tap Cards, go to Classic widgets > Quick widgets, and add Screen Lock.

Turn On the Screen:

• Press the Power button.

• Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Wake screen, and enable “Raise to wake” or “Double-tap to wake”.

Unlock the Screen:

• With Password: Swipe up from the middle of the screen and enter your lock screen password.

• With Face Unlock: Turn on the screen and align it with your face.

• With Fingerprint Unlock: Touch the fingerprint icon on the screen with an enrolled finger.

Apply for an eSIM: Contact your carrier to apply for an eSIM card. You will need to provide your phone’s EID (embedded-SIM ID), which you can find by going to Settings > About phone > EID.

Add an eSIM Card:

1. Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management.

2. Touch the arrow next to SIM 2. You can add the eSIM by scanning a QR code provided by your carrier, scanning a saved image of the QR code, or manually entering an activation code.

Enable an eSIM: On the SIM management screen, touch the arrow next to SIM 2 and enable the eSIM card as prompted.

Disable an eSIM: On the SIM management screen, touch the arrow next to SIM 2 and disable the eSIM card as prompted. Disabling it does not stop monthly fees from your carrier.

Delete an eSIM: After disabling the eSIM, follow the onscreen instructions on the SIM management screen to delete it. Deleting the eSIM does not cancel your contract with the carrier.

Via Personal Hotspot (Wi-Fi):

1. Go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot, and enable Personal hotspot.

2. On this screen, you can set the Device name, Password, and view connected devices.

Via Bluetooth:

1. Pair your phone with the other device via Bluetooth.

2. On your phone, go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More, and enable Bluetooth tethering.

3. On the paired device’s Bluetooth settings, enable Internet access for the connection.

Via USB:

1. Connect your phone to a computer using a USB cable.

2. On your phone, go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More, and enable USB tethering.

1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi.

2. Your phone will automatically scan for available networks.

3. Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to under AVAILABLE NETWORKS. If it is an encrypted network, you will need to enter the password.

4. Alternatively, you can pull down to the bottom of the menu, tap Add network, and follow the prompts to enter the network name and password to connect.

You can also connect by scanning a QR code. On the phone sharing the network, go to its Wi-Fi settings, tap the connected network to get the QR code. On your HONOR MAGIC7 PRO 5G PTP-N49, scan the code to connect.

The following table explains some of the common icons you may see on your HONOR MAGIC7 PRO 5G PTP-N49:

Power On: Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until your device vibrates and displays the logo.

Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds, then touch “Power off” and “Touch to power off”.

4. If the other device is removed from your phone for more than 2 minutes, Wireless reverse charging will automatically be disabled.

HONOR Connect allows seamless collaboration between devices logged in with the same HONOR ID.

1. First, update all devices to the latest version and ensure they support HONOR Connect.

2. Log in to the same HONOR ID on your phone and the other device.

3. Toggle on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on both devices.

4. On your phone, go to Settings > HONOR Connect, agree to the user agreement, and ensure the services of HONOR Connect are enabled. The nearby device should appear as connected.

This enables features like Connected Apps, Connected Call, Connected Notification, and more, allowing services and information to transfer seamlessly across devices.

There are multiple ways to open the Camera app on your HONOR MAGIC7 PRO 5G PTP-N49:

From the Home Screen: Open the Camera app icon from the home screen.

From the Lock Screen: When the screen is locked, turn on the screen, then swipe up on the camera icon in the lower right corner.

Quickly When the Screen is Off: To open the camera or take a photo instantly without unlocking the screen:

1. Go to Camera > Settings icon > Quick Launch.

2. Select “Launch Camera only” or “Launch Camera & take photo”.

3. With the screen off, quickly press the Volume down or Power button twice (depending on your selection) to launch the camera or take a photo.

Burst mode lets you take a sequence of photos in quick succession.

1. Open Camera, select PHOTO mode, and make sure the rear camera is in use.

2. Touch and hold the shutter button, or press and hold one of the Volume buttons. A counter will appear, indicating how many photos you’ve taken.

3. Lift your finger to stop shooting.

To select the best shots from a burst, open Gallery, touch the burst photo (tagged with a stacked icon), then touch the icon again. Swipe through the photos, select the ones you want to keep, and touch SAVE AS.

Pro mode gives you full control over camera settings for fine-tuning your photos.

1. Go to Camera and select the PRO mode.

2. You can then adjust the following parameters:

• Metering (M): Select Matrix, Center-weighted, or Spot metering.

• ISO sensitivity (ISO): Tap and drag the slider to adjust. Increase for low-light, decrease for well-lit environments.

To adjust which part of the video plays in slow motion, open the video in Gallery, tap the play icon, and then tap the screen during playback to display the editing area. Drag the sliders to adjust the part you want to be played in slow motion.

1. Go to Gallery > Albums, and touch the video you want to edit.

2. Tap the edit icon to display the video editing screen.

3. From here, you can perform various edits:

• Select a theme: Touch Template and select a preset theme.

• Edit the clips: Touch Edit then drag the sliders to trim the video.

• Select a filter: Tap Filters and select a filter effect.

• Edit background music: Touch Music to add preset or locally saved music.

• Add text: Tap Text > Add text to add text to the video.

• Adjust the frame size: Tap Frame to select a frame size.

4. When you are finished, touch the preview/export icon to save the video.

First, ensure the feature is enabled by going to Settings > HONOR AI > Magic Text.

You can then extract text in two ways:

Tap the icon to extract text:

1. Open the image and tap the Magic Text icon in the lower right. The recognized text will be highlighted.

2. Tap underlined text to access relevant services (e.g., messaging, sharing).

3. Drag the cursor to select text and perform actions like copy, select all, and search.

Long press the text to extract:

1. Open the image. Long press on the text area with one finger.

2. Drag the cursor to select the recognized text, and use the pop-up menu for quick operations like copy, select all, share, and search.

The Magic Capsule is a “capsule” shaped display at the top of the screen on your HONOR MAGIC7 PRO 5G PTP-N49 that shows real-time status for ongoing tasks, allowing you to perform quick operations or enter applications easily.

Trigger Magic Capsule: The capsule appears when you initiate certain real-time tasks and then return to the home screen. For example, starting a recording in Recorder or starting a timer in Clock.

View Status and Perform Quick Operations: The capsule will shrink to a “little ball” after a while. You can tap the Magic Capsule or the “little ball” to expand it, check the detailed status of the task, or perform quick operations.

Quickly Access Apps: When the Magic Capsule is expanded, you can tap anywhere on the expanded area to return to the app that is running the task.

Your HONOR MAGIC7 PRO 5G PTP-N49 offers multiple ways to capture your screen:

Key Combination: Press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons simultaneously.

Shortcut Button: Swipe down from the top right of the screen to open the Control Center, then tap the Screenshot icon.

Knuckle Screenshot: Knock the screen twice in quick succession with one knuckle.

Three-Finger Swipe: Swipe down from the middle of the screen with three fingers.

Scrolling Screenshot (Scrollshot): After taking a regular screenshot, swipe down on the thumbnail that appears in the lower-left corner. Alternatively, use a knuckle to draw an “S” on the screen.

Partial Screenshot: Knock on the screen with a knuckle and hold to draw an outline around the part of the screen you want to capture.

Multi-Window allows you to use apps in floating windows or a split screen. First, go to Settings > Accessibility features > Multi-Window and ensure the Multi-Window dock is turned on.

Open a floating window:

Swipe inwards from either side of the screen and hold to open the Multi-Window dock. Tap an app to open it in a floating window.

Activate split-screen mode:

• From the Multi-Window dock, press and drag an app onto the screen and release it.

• While using an app in full screen, swipe up from the bottom edge to the designated position and release to enter half split-screen mode, then tap another app to open it in the other half.

In split-screen mode, you can change app positions, save app pairs to the home screen, adjust the window size, or exit the mode by dragging the divider.

App Twin allows you to log in to two separate accounts for the same app (e.g., WhatsApp or Facebook) simultaneously. Note that only certain apps support this feature.

1. Go to Settings > Apps > App Twin.

2. Toggle on the switch for the app you want to duplicate.

3. A twin of that app, marked with a number, will be displayed on the home screen. You can now use it to log into a second account.

Always On Display shows information like the date and time when the screen is off.

1. Go to Settings > Home screen & style > Always On Display, and enable Always On Display.

2. Set the “Display mode” as prompted (e.g., Tap to show, Scheduled, or All day).

From the Always On Display settings screen, you can customize the appearance by:

• Selecting animated displays like the interactive polar bear.

• Adding local GIF images or animated photos.

• Creating an artistic image from a photo’s color palette.

• Adding your artist’s signature with custom text and stickers.

• Choosing different analog or digital clock styles.

Enroll a Fingerprint:

1. Go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Fingerprint ID and enter your lock screen password.

2. Tap New fingerprint > Add fingerprint.

3. Place your finger on the in-screen fingerprint sensing area. Press and release, repeating with different sections of your finger until enrollment is complete.

4. Tap OK.

Manage Fingerprints:

In the Fingerprint ID settings menu, you can:

• Tap an enrolled fingerprint to rename or delete it.

• Tap “Identify fingerprint” to see which enrolled print corresponds to your finger.

• Tap “Fingerprint animation” to change the animation effect.

• Enable switches for “Access Safe” or “Access App Lock” to use your fingerprint for those features.

Restoring factory settings will erase all data on your phone, including your accounts, app data, system settings, installed apps, music, and images. It is crucial to back up your data before proceeding.

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > Reset.

2. Tap Reset phone.

3. Touch Reset phone at the bottom of the screen.

4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the factory reset process.
