Please follow these safety instructions when using your HISENSE WDQY8014:

1. Ensure the socket is securely grounded and the water source connection is reliable.

2. This appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

3. Children aged from 8 years and above can use this appliance if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning its safe use and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

4. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

6. Use the new hose-sets supplied with the appliance; old hose-sets should not be reused.

7. For appliances with ventilation openings in the base, a carpet must not obstruct the openings.

8. The appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

9. The tumble dryer is not to be used if industrial chemicals have been used for cleaning.

10. Lint must not be allowed to accumulate around the tumble dryer.

11. Adequate ventilation must be provided to avoid the backflow of gases into the room from appliances burning other fuels, including open fires.

The specifications for the HISENSE WDQY8014 are as follows:

Water Pressure:

• The maximum permissible inlet water pressure is 1 MPa.

• The minimum permissible inlet water pressure is 0.1 MPa, which is necessary for the correct operation of the appliance.

Capacity:

• The maximum washing capacity is 10/9/8kg.

• The maximum drying capacity is 7/6/5kg.

To ensure safety and prevent damage, avoid drying the following items in the tumble dryer:

• Do not dry unwashed items.

• Items soiled with substances such as cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, spot removers, turpentine, waxes, and wax removers should be washed in hot water with an extra amount of detergent before being dried.

• Items such as foam rubber (latex foam), shower caps, waterproof textiles, rubber-backed articles, and clothes or pillows fitted with foam rubber pads should not be dried in the tumble dryer.

Before using your new washing machine, please complete the following steps:

1. Removing the packaging and inspection: After unpacking, ensure the washing machine is undamaged. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

2. Remove the transport bolts: It is imperative that the transport bolts are removed before use to avoid damage. After removal, cover the openings with the 4 enclosed plastic caps.

3. Install the washing machine: Place the appliance on a solid, level floor surface. Ensure all four feet are stable and resting on the floor and that the machine is perfectly level (use a spirit level).

4. Connect the water inlet: Connect the water supply inlet hose according to local water company regulations. The water tap should have a 3/4 threaded hose connector.

5. Connect the drain hose: Connect the drain hose to the siphon or hook it over the edge of a sink using the “U” bend supplied. Secure the hose to prevent it from moving.

6. Electrical connection: Connect the appliance to a socket with an earth connection. Do not use extension leads or multiple sockets. The socket must be powerful enough to drive the machine during heating.

It is important to remove the transport bolts before using the appliance to prevent damage. Follow these steps:

1. Using a wrench, unscrew all transportation bolts approximately 30mm in the direction of the arrow shown. Do not fully screw them off at this stage.

2. Push the four transportation bolts inward horizontally to loosen them.

3. Pull out the transportation bolts, along with their rubber and plastic parts.

4. To ensure safety and reduce noise, install the supplied transportation bolt covers. Lean and place the cover into the hole and press it until it clicks into place.

Important: Keep the transport bolts and the wrench for future transporting of the appliance. To refit the bolts, perform these steps in reverse order.

The minimum housing dimensions required for the HISENSE WDQY8014 are:

• Width: 615 mm

• Height: 855 mm

• Depth: refer to programme chart

The washing machine is built from reusable materials and must be disposed of in compliance with current local waste disposal regulations. Before scrapping, remove all detergent residues, break the door hook, and cut off the power cable to make the machine unusable.

This appliance is marked according to the European directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). It should not be treated as household waste. Instead, it must be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. For more detailed information, please contact your local city office, household waste disposal service, or the shop where you purchased the product.

In case of a power outage or other special circumstances where the door cannot be opened, you can use the emergency door lock lever located at the drainage pump door.

Note:

1. Do not use this method when the machine is working normally.

2. Before proceeding, ensure the inner drum has stopped turning, there is no high temperature, and the water level is lower than the clothing inlet. If the water level is high, drain the water first.

Operation method:

1. Open the cover of the drainage pump door.

2. Using a tool, pull down the lock lever.

3. The door can now be opened.

To remove any residual water used during testing by the manufacturer, it is recommended to carry out a short wash cycle without any laundry.

1. Open the water tap.

2. Close the door.

3. Pour a small amount of detergent (about 30 ml) into the main wash chamber of the detergent dispenser.

4. Select and start a short programme.

1. Sort the laundry according to:

• Type of fabric / care label symbol: Cottons, mixed fibres, easy care/synthetics, wool, handwash items.

• Colour: Separate coloured and white items. Wash new coloured articles separately.

• Loading: Wash items of different sizes in the same load to improve washing efficiency and distribution in the drum.

• Delicates: Wash small items (e.g., nylon stockings, belts) and items with hooks (e.g., bras) in a cloth bag or pillowcase with a zip. Always remove curtain rings or wash curtains with the rings inside a cotton bag.

2. Empty all pockets:

Coins, safety pins, etc., can damage your laundry and the appliance drum and tub.

3. Fasteners:

Close zips and fasten buttons or hooks; loose belts or ribbons should be tied together.

4. Stain removal:

• Blood, milk, eggs, etc., are generally removed by the automatic enzyme phase of the programme.

• To remove red wine, coffee, tea, grass, and fruit stains, add a stain remover to the main wash chamber of the detergent dispenser.

• Pre-treat heavily-soiled areas with stain remover if necessary.

Always use a high efficiency, low foam detergent for a front-load machine. The choice of detergent depends on:

• type of fabric (cottons, easy care/synthetics, delicate items, wool). Use only specific detergents for washing wool.

• colour

• the wash temperature

• degree and type of soiling

Follow the dosage recommendations on the detergent pack. The detergent drawer has three chambers:

• Prewash chamber: Detergent for the prewash / soak.

• Mainwash chamber: Detergent for the main wash, stain remover, water softener (water hardness class 4).

• Softener chamber: Fabric softener.

Notes: Too much detergent can result in excess foam, reducing washing efficiency. Insufficient detergent may result in grey laundry and calcify the heating system, drum, and hoses.

Appliance exterior and control panel:

• Can be washed down with a soft, damp cloth.

• A little neutral, non-abrasive detergent can also be used.

• Dry with a soft cloth.

Door seal:

• Clean with a damp cloth when necessary.

• Check the condition of the door seal periodically.

Detergent dispenser:

1. Press the release lever in the main wash compartment downward and remove the drawer.

2. Remove the siphon in the softener slot.

3. Wash all parts under running water.

4. Refit the siphon in the detergent drawer and fit the drawer back inside its housing.

We recommend checking and cleaning the filter regularly, at least two or three times a year, especially if the appliance is not draining properly or fails to perform spin cycles.

IMPORTANT: Ensure the water has cooled before draining the appliance.

1. Stop the appliance and unplug it.

2. Insert a removal tool like a slotted screwdriver into the small opening of the bottom baffle, press the baffle downward with strength, and open it.

3. Place a flat container under the filter door and drain any residual water using the emergency drain pipe if available. Then, loosen the filter counter-clockwise and completely unscrew and remove it.

4. Clean the filter and the filter chamber.

5. Check that the pump rotor moves freely.

6. Re-insert the filter and screw it in clockwise as far as it will go.

7. Reinstall the plinth.

Check and clean the mesh filter regularly.

1. Close the tap and loosen the inlet hose from the tap.

2. Clean the internal mesh filter at the tap end and screw the water inlet hose back onto the tap.

3. Now unscrew the inlet hose on the rear of the washing machine.

4. Pull off the mesh filter from the washing machine connection with universal pliers and clean it.

5. Refit the mesh filter and screw the inlet hose on again.

6. Turn on the tap and ensure that the connections are completely water-tight.

If no indicator lamps are on, check whether:

• the mains plug is inserted into the socket.

• the wall socket is functioning correctly (use a table lamp or similar appliance to test it).

If the “Start/Pause” indicator lamp flashes, check whether:

• the door is properly closed (child safety).

• the “Start/Pause” button has been pressed.

• the “Water tap closed” indication lights up. If so, open the water tap and press the “Start/Pause” button.

If the machine vibrates during the spin cycle, check the following:

• Check if the washing machine is level and standing firmly on all four feet.

• Ensure the transport bolts have been removed. Before using the machine, it is imperative that the transport bolts are removed.

The washing machine has an imbalance detection and correction system. If individual heavy items are loaded (e.g., bathrobes), this system may automatically reduce the spin speed or even interrupt the spin completely to protect the machine.

• If the laundry is still too wet at the end of the cycle, remove some articles of laundry and repeat the spin cycle.

• Excessive foam formation may prevent spinning. Use the correct amount of detergent.

• Check that the spin speed selector has not been set to “0”.

For Models with Dual Inlets (Hot & Cold):

1. Fix the red marked inlet hose to the hot water tap and to the inlet valve with the red filter on the rear of the machine.

2. Fix the other inlet hose to the cold water tap and to the inlet valve with the blue filter on the rear of the machine.

Make sure connections are tight and not inverted.

For Dual Inlet Models with Cold Fill Only:

1. You will need a Y-piece connector (purchased separately).

2. Fix the Y-piece connector to the cold fill tap.

3. Connect the two inlet valves on the rear of the machine to the Y-piece connector using the hoses provided.

For Models with a Single Inlet:

Fix the inlet hose to the cold water tap and to the inlet valve on the rear side of the machine.

Ensure all connections are tightly fixed in all cases.

The following table lists the fault codes and their descriptions for the HISENSE WDQY8014:

a. “F01” displayed on screen (Water inflow fault):

The machine is not fed with water or has insufficient water. Check:

• The faucet is fully open and has enough water pressure.

• The water inlet pipe is not knotted.

• The filtering net of the water inlet pipe is not blocked.

• The water pipe is not frozen.

Press the “Start/Pause” key after the fault is removed.

b. “F03” displayed on screen (Drainage fault):

The washer is not emptying. The washer stops the program. Shut down the machine and disconnect the power supply. Check:

• The drain pipe is not knotted.

• The filter in the drain pump is not blocked (refer to cleaning instructions). IMPORTANT: Ensure water has cooled before draining.

• The drain hose is not frozen.

Plug in the appliance again. Select and start the “Spin” programme or push the “Start/Pause” button for at least 3 seconds and restart the desired programme.

c. “F24” displayed on screen (Overflow):

Water level has reached overflow level. Remove it by pressing the “Start/Pause” key and feed water. Select and start the required program.

If fault code “F13” is shown (Door lock fault):

The door lock is abnormal. Start the program for 20 seconds and unlock the washer door to check if the door is closed. Open or close it again. After the fault is removed, press the “Start/Pause” key.

If fault code “F14” is shown (Door open fault):

Press the “Start/Pause” button. The washing machine will try to open the door. The alarm will not be removed until the door is unlocked. Alternatively, turn the knob to Off for 3 seconds to turn off the machine, then choose the desired programme to start.

If fault code “Unb” is shown (Unbalance alarm):

1. Laundry winding: Turn the knob to “off” for 3 seconds for shutdown, open the door, shake the clothes and put them back into the washing machine, then select the single dewatering program to dry again.

2. Too light-weighted laundry: Turn the knob to “off” for 3 seconds for shutdown, open the door, put in one or two towels, and then select the single dewatering program to dry again.

If else fault code “F04” to “F98” is shown (Electronic module fails):

Turn the knob to Off for 3 seconds to turn off the machine. After the fault is removed, press the “Start/Pause” key.

Never lift the appliance by the worktop when transporting.

1. Pull out the mains plug.

2. Turn off the tap.

3. Disconnect the inlet and drain hoses.

4. Eliminate all water from the hoses and from the appliance (see instructions for “Removing the Filter” and “Draining Residual Water”).

5. Fit the transport bolts (obligatory).

6. The machine is over 55 kg in weight; two people are needed to move it.

The appliance must be installed on a solid and level floor surface. If the floor is uneven, adjust the 4 leveling feet as required. Do not insert pieces of wood under the feet.

1. Slacken the locknut clockwise using the wrench.

2. Lift the machine slightly and adjust the height of the foot by revolving it higher or lower.

3. Important: Tighten the locknut by turning it anti-clockwise towards the appliance casing to secure the foot.

A bottom cover is supplied with some models to realize quieter operation. The machine can be used without the cover.

1. Stick the acoustic wool to the side of the bottom cover plate with the letter “PUMP”.

2. Remove the surface paper on the double-sided tape at the four sides of the bottom plate.

3. Tilt the washer by 30°-40°. The side with the sound insulation should face upwards. Align the ‘PUMP’ corner of the cover with the position of the pump in the washer.

4. Press the double-sided tape on all four sides manually to secure the plate firmly to the machine body.

First, unhook the drain hose from the right clip on the back of the machine.

Then, connect the drain hose to a drain pipe or hook it over the edge of a sink by means of the “U” bend. If not already installed, fit the “U” bend (part E) at the end of the drain hose.

Notes:

• Ensure that there are no kinks in the drain hose.

• Secure the hose so that it cannot fall down. After the wash phase, the machine will drain out hot water.

• Small hand basins are not suitable.

• To make an extension, use a hose of the same type and secure the connections with clips.

• The maximum overall drain hose length is 2.50 m.

• The height of the drain outlet must be between a minimum of 70 cm and a maximum of 125 cm.
