1. Removing the packaging and inspection:

2. Remove the transport bolts:

Choosing Detergent:

Your choice of detergent depends on the fabric type (cottons, synthetics, delicates, wool), colour, wash temperature, and degree of soiling. Note: Use only specific detergents for washing wool.

Dosage:

Follow the dosage recommendations on the detergent pack. This depends on:

Degree and type of soiling.

Where to put detergent and additives:

In case of a power outage or other special circumstances where the door cannot be opened, you can use the emergency door lock lever located at the drainage pump door.

Note:

1. Do not use this method when the machine is working normally.

2. Before proceeding, ensure the inner barrel has stopped turning, the water is not at a high temperature, and the water level is lower than the clothing inlet. If the water level is high, drain the water first through the drain-away pipe or by slowly unscrewing the filter.

Operation method:

1. Open the cover of the drainage pump door.

2. Pull down the lock lever with the help of a tool.

3. The door can now be opened.

Regular care and maintenance will keep your HISENSE WDQY901418VJM in good condition.

Appliance exterior and control panel:

Wash down with a soft, damp cloth. A little neutral, non-abrasive detergent can be used. Dry with a soft cloth.

Door seal:

6. Re-insert the filter and screw it in clockwise as far as it will go.

7. Reinstall the plinth.

Water supply hose and mesh filter:

Check the supply hose regularly for brittleness and cracks. To clean the mesh filter:

1. Close the tap and loosen the inlet hose on the tap.

2. Clean the internal mesh filter and screw the water inlet hose back onto the tap.

3. Now unscrew the inlet hose on the rear of the washing machine.

4. Pull off the mesh filter from the washing machine connection with universal pliers and clean it.

5. Refit the mesh filter and screw the inlet hose on again.

6. Turn on the tap and ensure that the connections are completely water-tight.

If your HISENSE WDQY901418VJM washing machine will not start and there are no lights on the control panel, please check the following:

1. Ensure the mains plug is inserted correctly into the socket.

2. Check if the wall socket is functioning correctly. You can test it by plugging in a table lamp or a similar appliance.

2. Make sure the transport bolts have been removed. Before using the machine, it is imperative that the transport bolts are removed.

The HISENSE WDQY901418VJM has an imbalance detection and correction system. If the spin results are poor, it could be due to the following:

Here is a list of fault codes and their descriptions for your HISENSE WDQY901418VJM:

“F01”: Water inflow fault. The machine is not fed with water or has insufficient water. Check if the faucet is fully open, the water inlet pipe is not knotted or blocked, and the water pipe is not frozen. Press “Start/Pause” after the fault is resolved.

“F03”: Drainage fault. The washer is not emptying. Check if the drain pipe is knotted or if the filter in the drain pump is blocked. Ensure water has cooled before draining. Restart the “Spin” programme after resolving.

“F13”: Door lock fault. The door lock is abnormal. The machine will try to unlock the door after 20 seconds. Open and close the door again and press “Start/Pause”.

“F14”: Door unlock fault. The door is open. Press “Start/Pause”, and the machine will try to open the door. The alarm won’t be removed until the door is unlocked. Or, turn the knob to Off for 3 seconds to reset.

“F24”: Overflow or too much foam. The water level has reached the overflow level. Press “Start/Pause” to remove it and feed water. Select and start the required program again.

“F04-F98”: Electronic module fault. Turn the knob to Off for 3 seconds to turn off the machine. After the fault is removed, press “Start/Pause”.

“Unb”: Unbalance alarm. This indicates the laundry is tangled or too light. To resolve, turn the knob to “off” for 3 seconds to shut down. For tangled laundry, open the door, shake the clothes, and restart a single dewatering program. For light laundry, add one or two towels and restart a single dewatering program.

Before contacting service, please follow these steps:

1. Try to remedy the problem yourself by consulting the “Troubleshooting Guide”.

2. Restart the programme to check whether the problem has solved itself.

3. If the washing machine continues to function incorrectly, then call After-Sales Service.

It is important to remove the transport bolts before using the washer, as they can cause damage to the appliance.

1. Use a wrench to unscrew all transportation bolts approximately 30mm. Do not fully screw them off at this stage.

2. Push the four transportation bolts inward horizontally to loosen them.

3. Pull out the transportation bolt completely, along with its rubber and plastic part.

4. To ensure safety and reduce noise, install the supplied transportation bolt covers. Lean and place the cover into the hole and press it until it clicks.

Important: Keep the transport bolts and the wrench for future transporting of the appliance. To refit, perform these steps in reverse order.

The appliance must be installed on a solid and level floor surface. If the floor is uneven, adjust the 4 leveling feet as required.

1. Use the supplied wrench to slacken the locknut by turning it clockwise.

2. Lift the machine slightly and adjust the height of the foot by turning it. Revolving it one way makes it higher, the other way makes it lower.

3. Important: Once the machine is level, tighten the locknut by turning it anti-clockwise towards the appliance casing to secure the foot in place. The maximum adjustment is 20mm.

A bottom cover is supplied with some models to reduce noise. It can be used without the cover, but installation will make operation quieter.

1. Stick the acoustic wool to the side of the bottom cover plate marked “PUMP”.

2. Remove the surface paper from the double-sided tape on the four sides of the bottom plate.

3. Tilt the washer by 30-40 degrees. Face the side with the sound insulation upwards and attach the ‘PUMP’ corner of the cover to the position of the pump in the washer.

4. Incline the machine to an angle of 40 degrees. With the right-angle notch facing the front, insert the side with the oblique-angle notch between the two back feet screws. Ensure it contacts the bottom of the washing machine closely.

5. Press the double-sided tape on all four sides manually to secure the plate firmly to the machine body.

Connecting the Water Supply Inlet Hose:

1. Screw the inlet hose by hand onto the tap, tightening the nut. Ensure there are no kinks in the hose.

2. The blue marked hose is for cold water. If your model has dual inlets, the hot water hose marked with red should also be connected.

3. Check for water-tightness by turning the tap completely on.

Connecting the Drain Hose:

1. If the drain hose is installed on the machine, unhook it from the right clip.

2. Connect the drain hose to a drain pipe or hook it over the edge of a sink using the “U” bend accessory. If the “U” bend is not already on the hose, fit it to the end.

Notes:

Ensure there are no kinks in the drain hose.

Secure the hose so that it cannot fall down. The machine will drain hot water.

The height of the drain should be between a minimum of 70 cm and a maximum of 125 cm.

The maximum overall drain hose length is 2.50 m.
