Please adhere to the following safety information when using your HISENSE WDQA8014EVJM washing machine:

• Ensure the socket is securely grounded and the water source connection is reliable.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

• Use the new hose-sets supplied with the appliance; old hose-sets should not be reused.

• For appliances with ventilation openings in the base, a carpet must not obstruct the openings.

• The maximum permissible inlet water pressure is 1 MPa, and the minimum is 0.1 MPa.

• The appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer.

• Do not use industrial chemicals for cleaning.

• Lint must not be allowed to accumulate around the tumble dryer.

• Adequate ventilation must be provided to avoid the backflow of gases from other fuel-burning appliances.

• Do not dry unwashed items in the tumble dryer.

• Items soiled with substances like cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, etc., should be washed in hot water with extra detergent before drying.

• Items such as foam rubber, shower caps, waterproof textiles, and rubber-backed articles should not be dried in the tumble dryer.

• Fabric softeners should be used as specified by their instructions.

• Remove all objects from pockets, such as lighters and matches.

• Never stop a tumble dryer before the end of the drying cycle unless all items are quickly removed and spread out to dissipate heat.

• The appliance is for private domestic use only in household and similar applications.

The maximum washing capacity for the HISENSE WDQA8014EVJM is 10/9/8kg, depending on the specific model.

The maximum drying capacity is 7/6/5kg, depending on the specific model.

Follow these steps to set up your HISENSE WDQA8014EVJM:

1. Removing the packaging and inspection: After unpacking, ensure the washing machine is undamaged. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children. Check that all accessories and supplied parts are present.

2. Remove the transport bolts: The machine is fitted with transport bolts to prevent interior damage during transport. It is imperative that these are removed before use. After removal, cover the openings with the 4 enclosed plastic caps.

3. Install the washing machine: Install the appliance on a solid and level floor surface. Ensure all four feet are stable and resting on the floor. Check that the machine is perfectly level using a spirit level. Ensure ventilation openings in the base are not obstructed.

4. Water inlet: Connect the water supply inlet hose according to local water company regulations. The water tap should have a 3/4 threaded hose connector.

5. Drain: Connect the drain hose to the siphon or hook it over the edge of a sink using the “U” bend supplied. Fix the drain hose securely.

6. Electrical connection: Connections must be done by a qualified technician. The appliance must be connected to a mains socket with an earth connection. Do not use extension leads or multiple sockets.

To remove any residual water used during testing by the manufacturer, it is recommended to carry out a short wash cycle without laundry.

1. Open the tap.

2. Close the door.

3. Pour a little detergent (about 30 ml) into the main wash chamber of the detergent dispenser.

4. Select and start a short programme.

1. Sort the laundry:

• Type of fabric / care label symbol: Cottons, mixed fibres, easy care/synthetics, wool, handwash items.

• Colour: Separate coloured and white items. Wash new coloured articles separately.

• Loading: Wash items of different sizes in the same load to improve washing efficiency.

• Delicates: Wash small items (e.g., nylon stockings, belts) and items with hooks (e.g., bras) in a cloth bag or pillow case with a zip. Remove curtain rings or wash curtains with the rings inside a cotton bag.

2. Empty all pockets: Coins, safety pins, etc., can damage your laundry and the appliance drum and tub.

3. Fasteners: Close zips and fasten buttons or hooks. Loose belts or ribbons should be tied together.

4. Stain removal:

• Blood, milk, eggs, etc., are generally removed by the automatic enzyme phase of the programme.

• To remove red wine, coffee, tea, grass, and fruit stains, add a stain remover to the main wash chamber.

• Pre-treat heavily-soiled areas with stain remover if necessary.

The detergent drawer has three chambers. Always use high efficiency, low foam detergent for a front load machine.

• Prewash chamber (I): Detergent for the prewash / soak.

• Mainwash chamber (II): Detergent for the main wash, stain remover, water softener (water hardness class 4).

• Softener chamber (flower symbol): Fabric softener.

Notes:

• Too much detergent can result in excess foam formation, reducing washing efficiency.

• Liquid detergents can be used for programmes with prewash, but a powder detergent must be used for the main wash in this case.

• Do not use liquid detergents when activating the “Start Delay” function.

In case of a power outage or other special circumstances where the door cannot be opened, you can use the door lock lever at the drainage pump door for emergency opening.

Note:

1. Do not operate when the machine is working normally.

2. Before operation, ensure the inner barrel has stopped turning, is not hot, and the water level is lower than the clothing inlet. If the water level is high, drain the water first.

Operation method:

Open the cover of the drainage pump door, pull down the lock lever with the help of a tool, and then the door can be opened.

Appliance exterior and control panel:

• Can be washed down with a soft, damp cloth.

• A little neutral detergent (non-abrasive) can also be used.

• Dry with a soft cloth.

Door seal:

• Clean with a damp cloth when necessary.

• Check the condition of the door seal periodically.

Detergent dispenser:

1. Press the release lever in the main wash compartment downward and remove the drawer.

2. Remove the siphon in the softener slot.

3. Wash all the parts under running water.

4. Refit the siphon in the detergent drawer and fit the drawer back inside its housing.

Filter:

It is recommended to check and clean the filter regularly, at least two or three times a year, especially if the appliance is not draining properly or fails to perform spin cycles. IMPORTANT: Ensure the water has cooled before draining.

1. Stop the appliance and unplug it.

2. Insert a removal tool like a slotted screwdriver into the small opening of the bottom baffle, press it downward, and open it.

3. Place a flat container under the filter door and drain any residual water. Then, loosen the filter anticlockwise and completely unscrew and remove it.

4. Clean the filter and the filter chamber.

5. Check that the pump rotor moves freely.

6. Re-insert the filter and screw it in clockwise as far as it will go.

7. Reinstall the plinth.

Water supply hose:

Check the supply hose regularly for brittleness and cracks and replace it if necessary.

Mesh filter for water connection:

1. Close the tap and loosen the inlet hose on the tap.

2. Clean the internal mesh filter and screw the water inlet hose back onto the tap.

3. Unscrew the inlet hose on the rear of the washing machine.

4. Pull off the mesh filter from the washing machine connection with universal pliers and clean it.

5. Refit the mesh filter and screw the inlet hose on again.

6. Turn on the tap and ensure that the connections are completely water-tight.

If the washing machine will not start and no indicator lamps are on, check whether:

• the mains plug is inserted into the socket.

• the wall socket is functioning correctly (use a table lamp or similar appliance to test it).

If the washing machine will not start and the “Start/Pause” indicator lamp flashes, check whether:

• the door is properly closed.

• the “Start/Pause” button has been pressed.

• the “Water tap closed” indication lights up. Open the water tap and press the “Start/Pause” button.

Check the following:

• The “Start/Pause” indicator lamp is flashing, which may mean the door has been opened. Close the door and press the “Start/Pause” button again.

• There may be too much foam inside, causing the machine to enter a kill-foam routine. The machine will run again automatically after a period.

• The washing machine’s safety system may have been activated (refer to the “Fault description table”).

Check whether:

• the washing machine is level and standing firmly on all four feet.

• the transport bolts have been removed. Before using the machine, it is imperative that the transport bolts are removed.

The washing machine has an imbalance detection and correction system. If individual heavy items are loaded (e.g., bathrobes), this system may reduce the spin speed automatically or even interrupt the spin completely to protect the machine.

• If the laundry is still too wet at the end of the cycle, remove some articles of laundry and repeat the spin cycle.

• Excessive foam formation may prevent spinning. Use the correct amount of detergent.

• Check that the spin speed selector has not been set to “0”.

This is a normal function of the HISENSE WDQA8014EVJM. The machine adapts to factors that can affect the wash programme time, such as:

• excess foam formation;

• load imbalance due to heavy items of laundry;

• prolonged heating time due to reduced inlet water temperature;

Because of these influences, the time remaining in the programme is recalculated and updated as necessary. During the filling phase, the machine also determines the load and adjusts the initial programme time accordingly. An animation appears on the time display during these updates.

For Models with Dual Inlets (Hot & Cold):

1. Fix the red marked inlet hose to the hot water tap and to the inlet valve with the red filter on the rear of the machine.

2. Fix the other inlet hose to the cold water tap and to the inlet valve with the blue filter on the rear of the machine.

Ensure connections are tightly fixed and not inverted.

For Connecting Only Cold Fill to a Dual Inlet Model:

1. You will need a Y-piece connector (purchased separately).

2. Fix the Y-piece connector to the cold fill tap.

3. Connect the two inlet valves on the rear of the machine to the Y-piece connector using the hoses provided.

For Models with a Single Inlet:

Fix the inlet hose to the cold water tap and to the inlet valve on the rear side of the machine. Ensure the connection is tightly fixed.

Here is a list of fault codes and their descriptions for the HISENSE WDQA8014EVJM:

a. “F01” displayed on screen: The machine is not fed with water or insufficient water. Check:

• Faucet is fully open and has enough water pressure.

• Water inlet pipe is not knotted.

• Filtering net of water inlet pipe is not blocked.

• Water pipe is not frozen. Press “Start/Pause” after the fault is removed.

b. “F03” displayed on screen: The washer is not emptied. Check:

• Drain pipe is not knotted.

• Filter in drain pump is not blocked. IMPORTANT: Ensure the water has cooled before draining.

• The drain hose is not frozen. Plug in the appliance again, select “Spin” or press “Start/Pause” for 3 seconds to restart.

c. “F13” is shown: Door lock is abnormal. Start program for 20 sec to check if the door is closed. Open or close it again. Press “Start/Pause” after fault is removed.

d. “F14” is shown: Door open fault. Press “Start/Pause”. The machine will try to open the door. Or, turn the knob to Off for 3 seconds to turn off the machine and restart.

e. “F24” is shown: Water level reaches overflow level. Remove it by pressing “Start/Pause” key and feed water. Select and start required program.

f. “F04” to “F98” is shown: Electronic module fails. Turn the knob to Off for 3 seconds to turn off the machine. After fault is removed, press “Start/Pause”.

g. “Unb” is shown: Unbalance alarm. To solve:

1. Laundry winding: Turn the knob to “off” for 3 seconds, open the door, shake the clothes, and put them back. Select the single dewatering program to dry again.

2. Too light-weighted laundry: Turn the knob to “off” for 3 seconds, open the door, put in one or two towels, then select the single dewatering program to dry again.

Never lift the appliance by the worktop when transporting.

1. Pull out the mains plug.

2. Turn off the tap.

3. Disconnect the inlet and drain hoses.

4. Eliminate all water from the hoses and from the appliance (see “Removing the Filter”, “Draining Residual Water”).

5. Fit the transport bolts (obligatory).

6. The machine is over 55 kg in weight; two persons are needed to move it.

Important: Transport bolts which are not removed can cause damage to the appliance.

1. Screw off all transportation bolts for approx. 30mm with a wrench (do not fully screw them off).

2. Push the four transportation bolts inward horizontally to loosen them.

3. Pull out the transportation bolt together with its rubber part and plastic part.

4. To ensure safety and reduce noise, install the transportation bolt covers supplied. Lean and place the transportation bolt cover into the hole and press it until it clicks.

Important: Keep the transport bolts and the wrench for future transporting of the appliance. To refit, perform these steps in reverse order.

The appliance must be installed on a solid and level floor surface. If the floor is uneven, adjust the 4 leveling feet as required. Do not insert pieces of wood under the feet.

1. Slacken the locknut clockwise using the wrench.

2. Lift the machine slightly and adjust the height of the foot by revolving it higher or lower.

3. Important: Tighten the locknut by turning it anti-clockwise towards the appliance casing.

The maximum adjustment height is 20 mm.

A bottom cover is supplied with some models to reduce noise. The machine can be used without it.

1. Prepare the cover: Stick the acoustic wool to the side of the bottom cover plate with the letter “PUMP”. For some models, you may need to align and paste acoustic absorption wool along the right-angle impression on the bottom plate.

2. Prepare the machine: Tilt the washer by 30°-40°. Remove the surface paper on the double-sided tape at the four sides of the bottom plate.

3. Attach the cover: Face the side with sound insulation upwards and attach the ‘PUMP’ corner of the cover to the position of the pump in the washer. Incline the machine to an angle of 40° and let the side with the right-angle notch face the front. Insert the side with the oblique-angle notch between the two foot screws at the back of the machine. Ensure the bottom plate contacts the bottom of the washing machine closely.

4. Secure the cover: Press the double-sided tape on the four sides manually to secure the plate to the machine body firmly.

1. If the drain hose is installed on the machine, unhook it only from the right clip.

2. Connect the drain hose to the Drain or hook it over the edge of a sink by means of the “U” bend.

3. Fit the “U” bend (part E), if not already installed, at the end of the drain hose.

Notes:

• Ensure there are no kinks in the drain hose.

• Secure the hose so that it cannot fall down. After a wash phase, the machine will drain out hot water.

• Small hand basins are not suitable.

• The drain hose should be placed at a height between 70 cm (min) and 125 cm (max).

• The maximum overall drain hose length is 2.50 m.
