If your HIKVISION DS-K1T607MW causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, you are encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

-Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

-Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body.

Dangers:

• All electronic operations should be in strict compliance with electrical safety regulations and other related regulations in your local region.

• Use the provided power adapter. The equipment is intended to be supplied from a Class 2 surge protected power source rated DC 12V, 3A.

• Do not connect several devices to one power adapter, as overload may cause over-heating or a fire hazard.

• Ensure power is disconnected before you wire, install, or dismantle the device.

• If smoke, odors, or noise rise from the device, turn off the power at once, unplug the power cable, and contact the service center.

• Do not ingest the coin/button cell battery. It is a Chemical Burn Hazard and can cause severe internal burns and lead to death.

• If the product does not work properly, contact your dealer or service center. Do not attempt to disassemble the device yourself.

Cautions:

• Do not drop the device or subject it to physical shock. Avoid exposure to high electromagnetism radiation.

• Do not place the device in extremely hot, cold, dusty, or damp locations.

• Do not aim the device at the sun or extra bright places.

• Use a soft and dry cloth when cleaning inside and outside surfaces of the device cover; do not use alkaline detergents.

• Improper use or replacement of the battery may result in an explosion hazard. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

• Biometric recognition is not 100% applicable to anti-spoofing environments. For higher security, use multiple authentication modes.

• For indoor and outdoor use, if installing indoors, the device should be at least 2 meters from light and 3 meters from a window or door. If outdoors, apply Silicone sealant around the cable wiring area to prevent rain from entering.

Use only the power supplies listed in the user instructions:

• If installing the device indoors, it should be at least 2 meters away from the light and at least 3 meters away from the window or the door.

• If installing the device outdoors, you should apply Silicone sealant among the cable wiring area to keep the raindrop from entering.

• Make sure the environment illumination is more than 100 Lux.

• Make sure the output of the external power supply fulfills LPS.

Follow these steps to install the device with a gang box:

Step 1. Stick the mounting template on the wall or other surface, 1.4 meters higher than the ground, according to the datum line on the template.

Step 2. Drill holes on the wall or other surface according to the mounting template and install the gang box.

Step 3. Use two supplied screws (4_KA4 × 22-SUS) to secure the mounting plate on the gang box.

Step 4. Use another four supplied screws to secure the mounting plate on the wall.

Step 5. Remove the two screws on the rear panel and remove the sheet to display the wiring terminals.

Step 6. Route the cable through the cable hole of the mounting plate and connect to the corresponding external devices’ cables.

Step 7. Install the sheet back to the device with the two screws.

Step 8. Apply Silicone sealant among the cable wiring area to keep rain from entering.

Step 9. Optional: Insert the fingerprint module into the holes at the bottom of the main part.

Step 10. Align the device with the mounting plate and hang the device on the mounting plate.

Step 11. Use two supplied screws (SC-M4 × 12TP10-SUS) to secure the device and the mounting plate.

Follow these steps to install the device without a gang box:

Step 1. Stick the mounting template on the wall or other surface, 1.4 meters higher than the ground, according to the datum line.

Step 2. Drill 6 holes on the wall or surface according to Hole 1 and Hole 2 on the mounting template.

Step 3. Insert the screw sockets of the setscrews into the drilled holes.

Step 4. Align the 6 holes of the mounting plate with the drilled holes and use six supplied screws to secure it.

Step 5. Remove the two screws on the rear panel and remove the sheet to display the wiring terminals.

Step 6. Route the cable through the cable hole of the mounting plate and connect to the corresponding external devices’ cables.

Step 7. Install the sheet back to the device with the two screws.

Step 8. Apply Silicone sealant among the cable wiring area to prevent rain from entering.

Step 9. Insert the fingerprint module into the holes at the bottom of the main part.

Step 10. Align the device with the mounting plate and hang it on the plate.

Step 11. Use two supplied screws (SC-M4 × 12TP10-SUS) to secure the device to the mounting plate.

The terminal descriptions are as follows:

You should activate the device before the first login. After powering on, the system will switch to the Device Activation page. You can activate it via the device itself, SADP tool, or client software.

Activate via Device:

Step 1. If the device is not activated, it will enter the Activate Device page when powered on.

Step 2. Create a password and confirm the password.

Step 3. Tap Activate, and the device will be activated.

Activate via SADP Tool:

Step 1. Run the SADP software and search for online devices.

Step 2. Select your device from the online device list.

Step 3. Input a new password (admin password) and confirm it.

Step 4. Click Activate to start activation. The device status will become Active.

Step 5. To modify the IP address, select the device, change the IP address to be on the same subnet as your computer, input the admin password, and click Modify.

Activate via Client Software:

Step 1. Enter the Device Management page in the client software.

Step 2. Click “Online Device” to show devices in the list.

Step 3. Select an inactive device.

Step 4. Click Activate to open the Activation dialog.

Step 5. Create a password and confirm it.

Step 6. Click OK to activate the device.

After activating the device, you should select an application mode and recognition mode for better performance.

Set Application Mode:

Step 1. On the Welcome page, select Indoor or Others from the drop-down list.

Step 2. Tap OK to save.

Note: If you install the device indoors near a window or if face recognition is not working well, select Others.

Set Recognition Mode:

Step 1. On the Welcome page, after selecting the application mode, select Normal Mode or Deep Mode from the drop-down list.

• Normal Mode: Recognizes face via the camera normally.

• Deep Mode: Recognizes a much wider range of people and is applicable to more complicated environments.

Step 2. Tap OK to save.

For First Login:

Step 1. Long tap on the initial page for 3 seconds to enter the password entering page.

Step 2. Tap the Password field and enter the device activation password.

Step 3. Tap OK to enter the home page.

Note: The device will be locked for 30 minutes after 5 failed password attempts.

Login by Administrator (after an admin is added):

Step 1. Long tap on the initial page for 3 seconds to enter the admin login page.

Step 2. Authenticate the administrator’s face, fingerprint, or card to enter the home page.

Note: The device will be locked for 30 minutes after 5 failed fingerprint or card attempts.

You can set network, Wi-Fi, RS-485, and Wiegand parameters in the communication settings.

Set Network Parameters:

Step 1. Tap Comm. (Communication Settings) on the Home page.

Step 2. Tap Network to enter the Network tab.

Step 3. Tap IP Address, Subnet Mask, or Gateway and input the parameters.

Step 4. Tap OK to save the settings.

Set Wi-Fi Parameters:

Step 1. On the Communication Settings page, tap Wi-Fi.

Step 2. Enable the Wi-Fi function.

Step 3. Select a Wi-Fi from the list.

Step 4. Select an IP mode (Static or Dynamic) and input the password and required network details.

Step 5. Tap OK to save.

Set RS-485 Parameters:

Step 1. On the Communication Settings page, tap RS-485.

Step 2. Select an external device (Controller, Unit, or Reader) according to your needs.

Step 3. Tap the checkmark to save.

Set Wiegand Parameters:

Step 1. On the Communication Settings page, tap Wiegand.

Step 2. Enable the Wiegand function.

Step 3. Select a transmission direction (Output or Input).

Step 4. Tap the checkmark to save.

Step 1. Tap User -> + to enter the Add User page.

Step 2. Edit the employee ID (less than 32 characters, cannot start with 0, cannot be duplicated).

Step 3. Tap the Name field and input the user name.

Step 4. Add authentication credentials:

• Face Picture: Tap the Face Picture field, position your face looking at the camera, and tap Save. Make sure your face is within the outline.

• Fingerprint: Tap the Fingerprint field and follow the on-screen instructions to record your fingerprint. You can add up to 10 fingerprints per user.

• Card: Tap the Card field and either enter the card number manually or swipe the card over the swiping area. Up to 5000 cards can be added.

• Password: Tap the Password field, create a password (numbers only, up to 8 characters), and confirm it.

Step 5. To make the user an administrator, enable the Administrator Permission function.

Step 6. Optional: Tap the Schedule Template field to select a schedule.

Step 7. Tap the checkmark to save the settings.

Export Data:

Step 1. Tap Transfer on the Home page.

Step 2. Tap Export Att. Data, Export User Data, Export Face Pic., Export Access Control Param., or Export Captured Pic.

Step 3. Tap Yes on the pop-up page. The data will be exported from the device to the USB flash drive.

Note: The supported USB flash drive format is DB, with storage from 1G to 32G. The free space should be more than 512M.

Import Data:

Step 1. Plug a USB flash drive into the device.

Step 2. On the Transfer page, tap Import User Data, Import Face Pic., or Import Access Control Param.

Step 3. Tap Yes on the pop-up window. The data will be imported from the USB flash drive to the device.

Note: The supported USB flash drive format is FAT32. Imported pictures should be saved in the root directory (enroll_pic) and named according to the rule: Card No._Name_Department_Employee ID_Gender.jpg.

You can authenticate via 1:1 matching or 1:N matching based on the configured mode.

Authenticate via 1:1 Matching (e.g., Card and Face):

Step 1. Swipe your card in the card swiping area.

Step 2. Position your face looking at the camera to authenticate your face. If the mode includes fingerprint, a prompt “Continue to authenticate” will pop up, and you should authenticate your fingerprint on the module.

If authentication succeeds, the prompt “Authenticated” will pop up.

Authenticate via 1:N Matching (e.g., Face only):

If the authentication mode is Face, position your face looking at the camera to start face authentication. If authentication is completed, a prompt “Authenticated” will pop up.

On the Home page, tap System (System Settings) to enter the System Settings page.

On the System Settings page, tap the Face Pic. tab to configure face parameters.

On the Home page, tap ACS (Access Control Settings) to enter the settings page.

Upgrade Firmware:

Step 1. Plug in the USB flash drive with the upgrade file (digicap.dav) in the root directory.

Step 2. Tap Maint. (Maintenance) on the System Settings page.

Step 3. Tap Upgrade. The device will automatically read the file and upgrade the firmware.

Note: Do not power off the device during the upgrade.

Data Management:

On the Data Management page (tap Data from the Home page), you can perform the following actions:

• Delete All Events: Deletes all events stored in the device.

• Delete User Data: Deletes all user data in the device.

• Delete Captured Pic.: Deletes the device captured pictures.

• Restore to Factory: Restores the system to factory settings. The device will reboot.

• Restore to Default: Restores the system to default settings, saving communication and remote user settings. The device will reboot.

After adding the device to the client software, you can initiate two-way audio.

Call Client Software from Device:

Step 1. Add the device to the client software.

Step 2. On the device’s initial page, tap Call.

Step 3. Input 0 in the pop-up window and tap Call.

Step 4. Tap Answer on the pop-up page of the client software to start two-way audio.

Call Master Station from Device:

Step 1. Add the master station and the device to the client software.

Step 2. Set the master station’s IP and SIP address in the remote configuration page.

Step 3. Tap the icon on the device to call the master station.

Step 4. Answer the call via the master station to start two-way audio.

Call Device from Client Software:

Step 1. Add the device to the client software.

Step 2. Enter the Live View page and double-click the added device to start live view.

Step 3. Right-click the live view image and click Start Two-Way Audio.

Recommended Finger: Forefinger, middle finger, or the third finger.

Correct Scanning: Press your finger on the scanner horizontally. The center of your scanned finger should align with the scanner center.

Environment: The scanner should avoid direct sunlight, high temperature, humid conditions, and rain. If your finger is dry, blow on it before scanning again.

Others: If your fingerprint is shallow or hard to scan, use other authentication methods. If you have injuries on the scanned finger, the scanner may not recognize it; try another finger.

Positions (Recommended Distance: 0.5 m):

• Ensure your face is at the recommended height (1.4 m to 1.9 m).

• Avoid being too high, too low, too close, or too far from the camera.

Expression:

• Keep your expression natural, like the example in the manual.

• Do not wear a hat, sunglasses, or other accessories that can affect facial recognition.

• Do not let your hair cover your eyes or ears. Heavy makeup is not allowed.

Posture:

• Position your face looking directly at the camera. Avoid tilting your head up, down, or to the side.

Size:

• Make sure your face is in the middle of the collecting window. Avoid being too close or too far.
