To prevent serious injury or death, follow these safeguards:

• You must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety regulations of your nation and region when using the product.

• Input voltage should meet both the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the Limited Power Source with 12 VDC according to the IEC60950-1 and IEC62368-1 standard. Refer to technical specifications for detailed information.

• The socket-outlet must be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.

• An all-pole mains switch must be incorporated into the electrical installation of the building.

• Do not connect multiple devices to a single power adapter to avoid overheating or a fire hazard caused by overload.

• Ensure the plug is firmly connected to the power socket.

• If you notice smoke, odor, or noise from the device, turn off the power immediately, unplug the power cord, and then contact the service center.

• Never attempt to disassemble the camera yourself; it should only be done by a professional.

To prevent potential injury or material damage, follow these precautions:

• Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the equipment.

• Install the equipment according to the instructions in this manual.

• To prevent injury, the equipment must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the installation instructions.

• Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.

• Do not touch sensor modules with your fingers.

• Do not place the camera in extremely hot, cold (the operating temperature shall be -40°C to 60°C), dusty, or damp locations, and do not expose it to high electromagnetic radiation.

• If cleaning is necessary, use a clean cloth with a bit of ethanol and wipe it gently.

• Do not aim the camera at the sun or other extra bright places.

• The sensor can be burned out by a laser beam. When any laser equipment is in use, ensure the sensor’s surface is not exposed to the laser beam.

• To avoid heat accumulation, good ventilation is required for the operating environment.

• For non-water-proof devices, keep the camera away from liquid while in use.

• When in delivery, the camera should be packed in its original packaging or packing of the same texture.

• The light beam at a distance of 200 mm is classified as Risk Group 1 (RG1). Possible hazardous optical radiation is emitted. DO NOT stare at the operating light source, as it may be harmful to the eyes.

• Wear appropriate eye protection or only turn on the supplement light at a safe distance (0.3 m) or in an area not directly exposed to the light when installing or maintaining the device.

Please follow the steps below to call and control the menu. Note that the actual display may vary with your camera model.

Steps:

1. Connect the camera to the TVI DVR and the monitor.

2. Power on the camera, TVI DVR, and monitor to view the image.

3. Click “PTZ Control” to enter the PTZ Control interface on your DVR.

4. Call the camera menu by clicking the appropriate button or by calling preset No. 95.

5. To navigate the menu:

• Click the up/down direction buttons to select menu options.

• Click Iris + to confirm the selection.

• Click the left/right direction buttons to adjust the value of the selected option.

The available video formats depend on the video output selected and the specific camera model.

You can adjust the exposure through the EXPOSURE MODE and AGC settings in the main menu.

EXPOSURE MODE

You can set the EXPOSURE MODE to GLOBAL, BLC, HLC, or DWDR.

• GLOBAL: This is the normal exposure mode which adjusts lighting distribution, variations, and non-standard processing.

• BLC (Backlight Compensation): BLC compensates light to make an object in the foreground clearer, but this may cause over-exposure of a bright background.

• HLC (Highlight Compensation): HLC detects strong spots (over-exposed portions of the image) and reduces their brightness to improve the overall image.

• DWDR (Digital Wide Dynamic Range): This gives the camera the ability to view dark areas and extremely bright areas of an image at the same time.

AGC (Auto Gain Control)

This setting optimizes the clarity of the image in poor light conditions. The AGC level can be set to HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW. Note that the noise will be amplified when setting the AGC level.

In the LIGHTING SETTINGS menu, IR and WHITE LIGHT modes are available.

IR

• IR LIGHT: You can turn the IR LIGHT on or off to meet the requirements of different circumstances.

• SMART IR: This function adjusts the light to its most suitable intensity to prevent the image from over-exposure.

• D→ N Threshold (Day to Night Threshold): Controls the sensitivity of switching from day mode to night mode. You can set the value from 1 to 9. A larger value means the camera is more sensitive and will switch to night mode sooner.

• N→ D Threshold (Night to Day Threshold): Controls the sensitivity of switching from night mode to day mode. You can set the value from 1 to 9. A larger value means the camera is more sensitive and will switch to day mode sooner.

WHITE LIGHT

Under the WHITE LIGHT sub-menu, you can set the mode to OFF or AUTO.

• OFF: Turns this function off.

• AUTO: In this mode, you can set the THRESHOLD and LEVEL.

• THRESHOLD: The higher the threshold, the more sensitive the device is to a dark environment.

• LEVEL: You can adjust the maximum brightness of the supplement light.

Move the cursor to VIDEO SETTINGS in the main menu and click Iris+ to enter the submenu. Here, you can adjust various image settings.

• IMAGE MODE: Adjusts the image saturation. You can set it to STD (Standard), HIGH-SAT (High Saturation), or HIGHLIGHT (better for indoor facial details).

• WHITE BALANCE: Adjusts the color temperature to remove unrealistic color casts. You can set this to AUTO or MANUAL. In MANUAL mode, you can set the R-GAIN/B-GAIN value to adjust the shades of red/blue color.

• BRIGHTNESS: Refers to the image’s brightness. Set the value from 1 to 9 to darken or brighten the image.

• CONTRAST: Enhances the difference in color and light between parts of an image.

• SHARPNESS: Determines the amount of detail an imaging system can reproduce.

• SATURATION: Adjusts the proportion of pure chromatic color in the total color sensation.

• DNR (Digital Noise Reduction): This function reduces noise in the video stream.

Under the AUDIO SETTINGS sub-menu, you can set the mode to ON or OFF. To raise the volume, adjust the VOLUME to a higher value.

To reset the camera, navigate to the FACTORY DEFAULT option in the menu. This will reset all settings, except for the video format, to their factory defaults.

To save your changes and exit, move the cursor to SAVE & EXIT and click Iris+. If you want to exit without saving, move the cursor to EXIT and click Iris+.
