Before using your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM, follow these steps:

5. The refrigerator and freezer temperatures are automatically set to 4°C and -18°C, respectively. These are the recommended settings. If desired, you can change these temperatures manually.

The HAIER HCR79F19ENMM uses flammable materials. The warning symbol indicates a risk of fire. You should take care to avoid causing a fire by igniting flammable material. This appliance contains the flammable refrigerant ISOBUTANE (R600a). Ensure the refrigerant circuit is not damaged during transportation or installation. Leaking refrigerant may cause eye injuries or ignite. If damage occurs, keep away from open fire sources, thoroughly ventilate the room, and do not plug or unplug the power cords of the appliance or any other appliance. If your eyes come into contact with the refrigerant, rinse immediately with running water and call an eye specialist immediately.

To operate, first unlock the panel by pressing and holding the “3Sec. Lock” button (Q) for 3 seconds. Then, press the desired button to select a function or adjust settings.

The HAIER HCR79F19ENMM appliance starts operating as soon as it is connected to the power supply. When first powered on, the indicator “C” (Temperature display) will illuminate. The fridge and freezer temperatures will automatically be set to 4°C and -18°C respectively, and the “G” (Auto Set mode) indicator will light up.

To switch the appliance off, empty it first, then pull the power cord out of the power socket.

The control panel on your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM automatically locks if no key is touched for 30 seconds. To make any adjustments, you must first unlock the panel.

To lock or unlock the panel, press and hold the “3Sec. Lock” button for 3 seconds.

Note that fridge temperature, freezer temperature, Super Cool function, Super Freeze function, Holiday mode, and Wi-Fi function cannot be adjusted while the panel is locked.

To adjust the fridge temperature on your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM, follow these steps:

1. Unlock the control panel by long-pressing the “3Sec. Lock” key (Q) for 3 seconds.

2. Press the “ZONE” key (K) to toggle between compartments until the Fridge compartment indicator (A) lights up.

3. Press the “-” key (J) or the “+” key (L) to adjust the temperature. The value on the temperature display (C) will decrease or increase by 1°C with each press.

The display flashes and then turns solid with the set temperature before going off after a few seconds. The fridge compartment temperature can be adjusted from 1°C to 9°C in 1°C increments. Please note that the fridge temperature cannot be adjusted when Super Cool, Holiday mode, or the panel lock is active.

To adjust the freezer temperature on your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM, follow these steps:

1. Unlock the control panel by long-pressing the “3Sec. Lock” key (Q) for 3 seconds.

2. Press the “ZONE” key (K) to toggle between compartments until the Freezer compartment indicator (B) lights up.

3. Press the “-” key (J) or the “+” key (L) to adjust the temperature. The value on the temperature display (C) will decrease or increase by 1°C with each press.

The display flashes and then turns solid with the set temperature before going off after a few seconds. The freezer compartment temperature can be adjusted from -14°C to -24°C in 1°C increments. Please note that the freezer temperature cannot be adjusted when Super Freeze or the panel lock is active.

The Super Cool function helps to cool down food in the fridge compartment quickly. To enable it:

1. Unlock the panel by long-pressing the “3Sec. Lock” key (Q) for 3 seconds.

2. Press the “Super-Cool” key (M). The Super Cool function indicator (D) will light up, and the appliance will enter Super Cool mode.

The appliance will automatically exit Super Cool mode after 6 hours. To exit manually, press the “Super-Cool” key (M) again while the panel is unlocked. The indicator (D) will go off.

Note: The Super Cool function deactivates automatically when Holiday mode is selected. In Super Cool mode, the temperature adjustment keys are locked for the fridge compartment.

The Super Freeze function is used to freeze fresh food as quickly as possible. If you need to freeze a large amount of food, it is recommended to turn this function on 24 hours before use.

1. Unlock the panel by long-pressing the “3Sec. Lock” key (Q) for 3 seconds.

2. Press the “Super Freeze” key (N). The Super Freeze function indicator (E) will light up, and the appliance will enter Super Freeze mode.

The appliance automatically exits Super Freeze mode after 50 hours. To exit manually, press the “Super Freeze” key (N) again while the panel is unlocked. The indicator (E) will go off.

Note: In Super Freeze mode, the temperature adjustment keys are locked for the freezer compartment.

Holiday mode sets the fridge compartment to an energy-saving 17°C while the freezer operates at normal temperature settings.

1. Unlock the panel by long-pressing the “3Sec. Lock” key (Q) for 3 seconds.

2. Press the “Holiday” key (O). The Holiday mode indicator (F) will light up, and the appliance will enter Holiday mode.

To exit, press the “Holiday” key (O) again while the panel is unlocked. The indicator (F) will go off.

Note: Holiday mode exits automatically if the Super Cool function is activated. In Holiday mode, the temperature adjustment keys are locked for the fridge compartment.

To ensure proper storage of fresh food in your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM:

• Keep your fridge temperature below 5°C.

• Hot food must be cooled to room temperature before storing.

• Food should be washed and dried before storing.

• Food should be properly sealed to avoid odor or taste alterations.

• Do not store excessive quantities of food. Leave spaces between foods to allow cold air to flow around them for better and more homogeneous cooling.

• Foods eaten daily should be stored at the front of the shelf.

• Leave a gap between foods and the inner walls to allow air to flow. Especially, do not store foods against the rear wall as they could freeze against it.

• Defrost frozen food in the fridge storage compartment. This way, you can use the frozen food to decrease the temperature in the compartment and save energy.

• The ripening process of some fruits and vegetables can be accelerated in the refrigerator. Therefore, it is not advisable to store them in the fridge. However, the ripening of very green fruits can be promoted for a certain period. Onions, garlic, ginger and other root vegetables should also be stored at room temperature.

• Keep a distance of more than 10 mm between the food placed and the air duct or sensors to ensure the cooling effect.

For best results when storing food in the freezer of your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM:

• Keep the freezer temperature at -18°C.

• Turn on the Super-Freeze function 24 hours before freezing; for small quantities of food, 4-6 hours are sufficient.

• Warm food must be cooled to room temperature before storing in the freezer.

• Food cut into small portions will freeze faster and be easier to defrost and cook. The recommended weight for each portion is less than 2.5 kg.

• It is better to pack food before putting it into the freezer. The outside of the packaging must be dry to avoid bags sticking together. Packaging materials should be odour-free, airtight, non-poisonous and non-toxic.

• To avoid expiration of storage periods, note the freezing date, time limit and name of the food on the packaging.

• Do not exceed the food storage times recommended by the manufacturers.

• Consume defrosted foods quickly. Defrosted food cannot be refrozen unless it is first cooked.

• Do not load excessive quantities of fresh food in the freezer compartment.

• When freezing fresh food, avoid bringing it in contact with already frozen food.

• For commercially frozen foods, always follow manufacturers’ guidelines for the length of time you should store food for.

To make ice cubes with your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM, follow these steps:

1. Pour fresh drinking water into each ice-making box as per the scale mark inside the measuring cup; do not exceed the scale mark.

2. Put the box into the freezing compartment.

3. After water becomes ice, take off the ice maker out of the appliance and rotate the button by hand. Then, ice blocks will fall into the ice box automatically. Remove the cover and fetch the ice cubs.

Notice: Do not bring water between the 2 buttons, otherwise the buttons may be frozen and the ice cubes cannot drop into the storage box.

Before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Clean the appliance when only little or no food is stored, approximately every four weeks.

General Cleaning:

• Do not use hard brushes, wire brushes, detergent powder, petrol, amyl acetate, acetone, and similar organic, acid, or alkaline solutions. Use a special refrigerator detergent.

• Do not spray or use steam to clean the appliance.

• Clean the inside and housing with a sponge dampened in warm water and neutral detergent.

• Always keep the door gasket clean.

• If liquid is spilled, remove all contaminated parts and rinse with water.

• For spilled cream or melting ice cream, remove parts, place them in warm water (about 40°C), rinse, dry, and place back in the fridge.

• For small parts stuck inside, use a small soft brush. If you cannot reach it, contact customer service.

• Rinse and dry with a soft cloth.

• Do not clean any parts in a dishwasher.

• After cleaning, wait at least 7 minutes before restarting the appliance.

Defrosting: The defrosting of the fridge and freezer compartments is done automatically; no manual operation is needed.

If you will not be using your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM for an extended period, follow these steps:

1. Take out the food.

2. Unplug the power cord.

3. Empty and clean the watertank.

4. Clean the appliance as described in the cleaning instructions.

5. Keep the doors open to prevent the creation of bad odours inside.

For proper installation of your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM, please follow these guidelines:

Unpacking and Placement:

• Handle the appliance with at least two people as it is heavy.

• Place the appliance on a flat and solid surface in a well-ventilated area with at least 10 cm of space around and above it.

• The room temperature should be between 10°C and 43°C.

• Do not install near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

Aligning the Appliance:

1. Tilt the refrigerator slightly backwards.

2. Adjust the feet to the desired level to ensure stability.

3. Make sure the distance to the wall on the hinge side is at least 10 cm for the door to open properly.

Electrical Connection:

• After leveling and cleaning, wait at least 2 hours before connecting to the power supply. This allows the lubrication oil in the compressor to settle.

• Ensure the power supply, socket, and fusing are appropriate for the rating plate.

• The power socket must be earthed and not a multi-plug or extension.

• Connect the plug to a properly installed household socket.

If the doors of your HAIER HCR79F19ENMM are not level, you can remedy this mismatch by following these methods:

A) Using the adjustable foot:

Rotate the adjustable foot according to the direction of the arrow to turn it up or down, which will raise or lower that side of the door.

B) Using spacers:

1. Open the upper door and lift it.

2. Carefully clip the spacer (enclosed in the accessory bag) into the white plastic ring of the middle hinge by hand or using tools like pliers. Do not scratch or bruise the door.

Uneven doors may occur in the future due to the weight of stored food. If this happens, please adjust them again using the methods above.

If the compressor is not working, check the following:

• Mains plug is not connected in the mains socket: Connect the mains plug.

• The appliance is in the defrosting cycle: This is normal for an automatic defrosting.

This can be normal in the following situations:

• The indoor or outdoor temperature is too high.

• The appliance has been off power for a period of time. Normally, it takes 8 to 12 hours for the appliance to cool down completely.

• A door of the appliance is not tightly closed. Close the door/drawer and ensure the appliance is located on a level ground and there is no food or container jarring the door.

• The door has been opened too frequently or for too long. Do not open the door/drawer too frequently.

• The temperature setting for the freezer compartment is too low. Set the temperature higher until a satisfactory refrigerator temperature is obtained. It takes 24 hours for the refrigerator temperature to become stable.

• The door gasket is dirty, worn, cracked or mismatched. Clean the door/drawer gasket or replace them.

• The required air circulation is not guaranteed. Ensure adequate ventilation.

If the inside of your refrigerator has smells, it’s likely that the inside needs cleaning or that food with strong odor is stored inside. Clean the inside of the refrigerator and wrap the food thoroughly.

If the inside of your appliance is not cold enough, consider these possible causes and solutions:

• The temperature is set too high: Reset the temperature.

• Too warm goods have been stored: Always cool down goods before storing them.

• Too much food has been stored at one time: Always store small quantities of food.

• The goods are too close to each other: Leave a gap between several foods allowing air flowing.

• A door/drawer of the appliance is not tightly closed: Close the door/drawer.

• The door/drawer has been opened too frequently or for too long: Do not open the door/drawer too frequently.

If the appliance is too cold inside, check the following:

• The temperature is set too low: Reset the temperature.

• The Super-Frz/Super-Cool function is activated or is running too long: Switch off the Super-Frz/Super-Cool function.

Moisture formation can be caused by several factors:

• The climate is too warm and too damp: Increase the temperature.

• A door/drawer of the appliance is not tightly closed: Close the door/drawer.

• The door/drawer has been opened too frequently or for too long: Do not open the door/drawer too frequently.

• Food containers or liquids are left open: Let hot foods cool to room temperature and cover foods and liquids.

This is usually due to environmental conditions or improper door sealing:

• The climate is too warm and too damp: This is normal in a damp climate and will change when the humidity decreases.

• The door is not closed tightly: The cold air in the appliance and the warm air outside it condenses. Ensure that he door/drawer is tightly shut.

Excessive ice and frost can be caused by the following:

• The goods were not adequately packaged: Always pack the goods well.

• A door/drawer of the appliance is not tightly closed: Close the door/drawer.

• The door/drawer has been opened too frequently or for too long: Do not open the door/drawer too frequently.

• The door/drawer gasket is dirty, worn, cracked or mismatched: Clean the door/drawer gasket or replace them.

• Something on the inside prevents the door/drawer to close properly: Reposition the shelves, door racks, or internal containers to allow the door/drawer to close.

This is normal. The appliance has an anti-condensation system that warms these areas to prevent condensation.

• The appliance is not located on level ground: Adjust the feet to level the appliance.

• The appliance touches some object around it: Remove objects around the appliance.

A slight sound similar to that of flowing water is also normal.

An alarm beep indicates that the fridge storage compartment door is open. Close the door to stop the alarm.

If the lighting or cooling system fails, check these points:

• Mains plug is not connected in the mains socket: Connect the mains plug.

• The power supply is not intact: Check the electrical supply to the room. Call the local electricity company!

• The LED-lamp is out of order: The LED lamp must be replaced by a qualified professional.

In the event of a power cut, food should remain safely cold for about 5 hours. For a prolonged power interruption, especially in summer:

• Open the door/drawer as few times as possible.

• Do not put additional food into the appliance during a power interruption.

• If prior notice of a power interruption is given and the duration is longer than 5 hours, make some ice and put it in a container in the top of the refrigerator compartment.

The HAIER HCR79F19ENMM has a memory function that restores the settings that were set before the power failure once power is restored.
