Please observe the following safety instructions when installing your EPSON SURECOLOR P7370:

Follow these instructions for placing your EPSON SURECOLOR P7370 printer:

• Choose a flat, level location large enough to allow adequate space for operation and maintenance as shown in the illustration below.

• The location must be stable and able to support the weight of the printer (Approx. 262 lb or 119 kg), in addition to the weight of inks and papers.

• Always use the printer installed on its stand. Placing the printer unit directly on the floor or a desk may affect normal operation or printing.

• Use only an outlet that meets the power requirements of this printer.

• Install the printer in a location where the temperature is 50-95 °F (10-35°C) and the humidity is 20-80%.

• To maintain proper humidity and print quality, avoid placing the printer in a location exposed to direct sunlight, direct air conditioning, or heat sources.

The following items are bundled with your EPSON SURECOLOR P7370:

Before beginning, clear the work area of packing materials. Two people are required to assemble the stand, and four people are required to lift and mount the printer.

Step 1: Assemble the Stand

• Attach the crossbar between the two leg assemblies using the six screws and the provided Allen key.

Step 2: Mount the Printer

• With at least four people, lift the printer. Place your hands only at the indicated lifting locations on the printer’s underside. Do not hold it by the covers, output tray, or other external parts.

• You will also need a fifth person, who is not holding the printer, to guide the carriers and ensure a safe path.

• Carefully lower the printer onto the assembled stand, aligning the mounting points.

• Secure the printer to the stand using the provided hardware.

Step 3: Secure the Casters

• Once the printer is in its final location, lock the casters on the stand to prevent it from moving. Always secure the casters except when you are intentionally moving the printer.

Follow these steps to assemble the paper basket for the EPSON SURECOLOR P7370:

1. Attach the L-shaped brackets to the front legs of the printer stand.

2. Assemble the paper basket frame by sliding the metal rods into the sleeves of the basket cloth.

3. Push the black plastic end parts all the way onto the pipes/rods.

4. Hook the assembled paper basket onto the printer stand’s front legs.

5. Secure the basket hooks in place.

6. Attach the basket’s rear straps to the back of the printer stand.

7. Attach the front paper guide, the paper stacker cloth, and the two output guides to the printer.

Before using the printer, you must remove all protective materials. It is recommended to store these materials in a safe place in case you need to transport the printer in the future.

1. Remove all blue tape from the exterior of the printer, including from the covers and trays.

2. Open the top cover and remove any protective foam, cardboard, or blue tape from the inside of the printer, particularly around the print head carriage area.

3. Open the ink cartridge cover and remove any protective materials found inside.

4. Check the roll paper area and remove any packaging materials located there.

5. Ensure the print head carriage can move freely from side to side before plugging in the printer.

Step 1: Connect the Power Cable

• Connect the supplied power cable to the printer and plug it into a grounded (earthed) outlet. Use only the power source type indicated on the printer’s label.

Step 2: Power On and Initial Settings

• Press the power button to turn on the printer.

• Follow the on-screen instructions to select initial settings such as language and date.

Step 3: Initial Ink Charging

• The control panel screen will guide you through the initial ink charging process. Follow the instructions to install the included ink cartridges.

• The initial ink charging process will take approximately 45 minutes.

• The operation is complete when the message “Load paper” appears on the display.

Important Precautions During Ink Charging:

• Do not disconnect the power cable or turn off the printer.

• Do not perform any operations other than those specified on the screen.

• Do not open any cover except for the roll paper cover, as this will interrupt the ink charging process.

• The included ink cartridges are for initial charging only. You may need to replace them sooner than standard cartridges.

To install the basic software for your printer, your computer must be connected to the Internet.

1. Ready the printer and computer for connection, but do not connect any cables (USB or LAN) between them yet.

2. Download and run your product’s software package from the Epson support page for your product.

3. Follow the instructions on the computer screen to run the setup program.

4. The installer will prompt you when it is time to connect the cable between the printer and the computer. The software will not be installed if the devices are not connected according to the on-screen instructions.

When you are prompted to enter the administrator password during software installation, you must enter the default password. The password is printed on a label attached to the back of the printer.

• If there is only one label: The password is the serial number printed on the “SERIAL No.” label.

• If there are two labels: The password will be the number printed on the “PASSWORD” label.

For network connections, it is recommended to change this default password for security purposes.

The EPSON SURECOLOR P7370 has different loading positions for different paper types:

• Roll Paper: Loaded from the rear of the printer.

• Cut Sheet / Poster Board: Loaded from the front of the printer.

To load paper, use the printer’s control panel to guide you through the process:

1. On the control panel’s home screen, press the paper loading information field (which may say “Load paper”).

2. In the “Paper Setting” menu, select the type of paper you wish to load (e.g., “Roll Paper,” “Cut Sheet”).

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to physically load the paper into the correct feed slot until the printer detects it.
