Who is qualified to perform User Self-Repair work on the EPSON SC-F3000?
Only people who have been trained in User Self-Repair should perform User Self-Repair work on the EPSON SC-F3000. Do not replace a Print Head without having been trained for User Self-Repair, as an electric shock or injury could occur.
The replacement Print Head and User Self-Repair Mode should be used for the following purposes only:
• When the part has reached the end of its service life and needs to be replaced.
• When print results are not correct and clogged nozzles cannot be cleared.
When does a Print Head need to be replaced on my EPSON SC-F3000?
A Print Head on your EPSON SC-F3000 needs to be replaced in the following situations:
When the part has reached the end of its service life:
A Print Head has reached the end of its service life if the “End Of Parts Service Life” screen appears with any of the following 16-digit numbers:
• “0000020000000000”
• “0000040000000000”
• “0000060000000000”
If one of these numbers appears, make a note of it, then press “Replace Parts” to turn off the printer. You will then need to start the printer in User Self-Repair Mode to replace the Print Head.
When print results are not correct:
If print results are not improved after performing the following measures, you should start the printer in User Self-Repair Mode and perform a Diagnosis.
• Execute Head Cleaning – Cleaning(Heavy). If clogs are not cleared, execute it one more time.
• Clean around the Print Heads and the edges of the metal.
• Clean the Suction Cap.
• Replace the Anti-Drying Caps.
Only replace a Print Head if the Diagnosis determines that a replacement is necessary.
