You can connect various devices to your EPSON POWERLITE L500W projector using the appropriate cables and ports:

• Connect to your network by plugging an Ethernet cable into the LAN port.

1. Turn on your computer or the image source you wish to display.

2. Press the power button on the projector or the remote control. The projector is ready when the status light remains solid blue.

Note: If the Direct Power On function is enabled on your EPSON POWERLITE L500W, you can turn on the projector without pressing the power button. Simply plug it in or flip the switch for the outlet it’s connected to.

3. If an image does not appear, you may need to switch the image source.

The default menu language is English, but you can change it by following these steps:

1. Press the Menu button to access the projector’s menu system.

2. Select Extended > Language.

3. Select your desired language.

4. When you are finished, press the Menu button to exit.

To switch between different connected devices, press the Source Search button on the projector or remote control. Alternatively, you can press one of the specific source buttons (e.g., Computer, HDMI/Video, USB, LAN) on the remote control.

1. Press the down arrow button on the projector.

2. Press the Enter button to change the test pattern.

3. When you are finished, press the Esc button to clear the test pattern.

To set the Screen Type to match your screen’s aspect ratio:

1. Press the Menu button.

2. Select Extended > Display > Screen > Screen Type.

3. Select the aspect ratio that matches your screen.

4. When you are done, press the Menu button to exit.

Note: After changing the screen type, you may also need to change the aspect ratio of the projected image depending on the input signal. Press the Aspect button on the remote control to adjust this if necessary.

No, the lens shift feature is not available on the EPSON POWERLITE L500W model. To adjust the image position, you need to use the options in the Extended menu.

If the projector is placed on a table and the image is not level, you can adjust it by turning any of the projector’s adjustable feet.

• To sharpen the image, turn the focus ring.

• To reduce or enlarge the image, turn the zoom ring.

• Check that the status light on the projector is solid blue and not flashing.

• Ensure that all cables are connected correctly.

On most Windows laptops, you can cycle through display modes by pressing a specific function key. This key may be labeled CRT/LCD or have an icon of a monitor. You might need to hold down the Fn key while pressing this function key (e.g., Fn + F7). Wait a moment for the display to appear. You may need to press the keys again to display the image on both your laptop screen and through the projector (duplicate mode).

On Windows 7 or later, you can also hold down the Windows key and press P at the same time, then click Duplicate.

3. Select the Mirror Displays checkbox.
