What are the environmental conditions for installing, storing, and operating the ULVAC DOP-81SP?
For the ULVAC DOP-81SP, the following conditions must be satisfied during storage, installation, and operation:
(1) Ambient temperature, relative humidity: 7°C to 40°C, 85% RH or less.
(2) Height above sea level during storage and installation: 1000 m or less.
(3) Other conditions for storage and operation:
a. Level floor of sufficient strength.
b. No condensation.
c. Dust-free environment.
d. Well ventilated.
e. Environment free of corrosive or explosive gas.
f. Not subject to direct sunlight.
g. No danger of fire.
h. Maximum ambient temperature of 40°C during assembly of the pump.
i. Free of soot and oil.
j. Free of splashing or flooding.
k. Keep it indoor ventilated.
l. When installing the pump, avoid mounting it directly on the base. Employ anti-vibration rubber between the base and the pump.
What are the location requirements for installing the ULVAC DOP-81SP?
The ULVAC DOP-81SP pump should be installed level in a location with minimal dust and humidity. This location should be selected in consideration of ease of installation and removal, inspection, and cleaning. Particular attention should be paid to ambient temperature when fitting the pump to equipment. Use anti-vibration rubbers to isolate the pump from vibrations in the equipment.
What are the electric wiring requirements for the ULVAC DOP-81SP?
(1) The wire diameter of the power cord for the ULVAC DOP-81SP must be 0.75 mm² or more.
(2) It is recommended to equip a protection device such as an earth leakage breaker or motor breaker on the electric wiring to prevent motor burnout which may occur from overcurrent.
(3) Be sure to ground the pump to the screw next to the earth mark.
(4) The electric wire which will be connected to the earth must be a green/yellow striped or green colored insulating coating wire. Its wire diameter must be 0.75 mm² or more.
Notice: Be sure to disconnect from the main power supply before operating the wire connection.
How do I check the operation of my ULVAC DOP-81SP after installation?
To check the operation of your ULVAC DOP-81SP after installation, follow these steps:
(1) Remove the cap on the inlet and outlet port.
(2) Switch power ON, check the direction of rotation, and check for suction.
(3) When checks are complete, switch off the main power supply and stop the pump. Check that the pump has stopped.
Caution: Use a cable with each core wire having a cross-section area of 0.75 mm² or more.
What are the piping instructions for the ULVAC DOP-81SP?
For the ULVAC DOP-81SP, follow these piping instructions:
(1) Ensure that all piping is installed without leaks, and fit a filter on the pump inlet.
(2) Use inlet piping with an internal diameter of 5 mm or more.
(3) The limit value of the ULVAC DOP-81SP’s internal pressure is 0.50 MPa (gauge pressure).
(4) In case of selecting an inlet pipe and exhaust pipe that are not from our products, please select an exhaust pipe that has the same or larger inner diameter as the inlet pipe.
(5) Install a protection instrument such as a safety valve between the exhaust tube and the container of the pump when pressurizing a vessel.
