The VELUX ACTIVE KLA 300 is designed for indoor and dry environment use only. It can be used by persons aged 8 years and above with sufficient experience and knowledge if they have been given instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the VELUX ACTIVE KLA 300.

Caution: There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Use only alkaline AA batteries for the sensor (model NXS01).

Before permanently fixing the VELUX ACTIVE KLA 300, check that the indoor climate sensor can operate the relevant products from your chosen position.

1. Use the provided adhesive template to mark the desired location on the wall.

2. Mount the backplate to the wall using the provided screws and wall anchors. Use a level to ensure it is mounted straight.

3. Attach the main sensor unit onto the mounted backplate.

The VELUX ACTIVE KLA 300 should be placed inside the house. For accurate readings, avoid placing the sensor in the following locations:

• In direct sunlight.

• Near a heat source like a radiator.

• Near a cooling source like an air conditioner.

• Outside the house.

The VELUX ACTIVE KLA 300 operates on two-way RF (radio frequency) communication.

• Radio frequency band: 863.0 – 870.0 MHz.

• Maximum transmission power: 15 mW.

• Radio frequency range: 300 m in a free field. The indoor range is approximately 30 m, depending on the building’s construction. Constructions with reinforced concrete, metal ceilings, and plaster walls with steel members may reduce the range.

The VELUX ACTIVE KLA 300 requires minimal maintenance. The surface may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.

Before carrying out any maintenance or service work on the window and products connected to it, disconnect the mains or battery supply and ensure that it cannot be reconnected unintentionally.

The expected battery lifetime for the VELUX ACTIVE KLA 300 is a minimum of 2 years. It requires three alkaline AA batteries.

Electrical products must be disposed of in conformity with national regulations for electronic waste and not with household waste.

Used batteries must not be disposed of with household waste but according to relevant national environmental regulations. Use a local authority battery disposal point where available. The packaging can be disposed of with usual household waste.
