To ensure safe operation of your TCL C6KS, please follow these instructions:

Power and Environment:

• Ensure your home’s mains supply voltage matches the voltage on the identification sticker at the back of the TV.

• The maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 35° Celsius. Do not cover the vents and leave sufficient space for ventilation.

• Install the TV away from heat sources (like a fireplace) or devices creating strong magnetic/electric fields.

• The moisture in the room should not exceed 75% humidity.

• During thunderstorms, disconnect the TV from the mains and aerial to protect it from electrical surges.

• If you notice a smell of burning or smoke, unplug the TV immediately. Do not open the TV set yourself.

Physical Safety:

• Leave more than 10cm of clearance around the television for adequate ventilation.

• Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing, and do not place objects filled with liquids (like vases) on it.

• To prevent the spread of fire, keep candles or other open flames away from the product at all times.

• To prevent injury, the TV must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the installation instructions.

• For RF exposure reduction, the use distance of this apparatus should be at least 100cm.

A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking these simple precautions:

• ALWAYS use cabinets, stands, or mounting methods recommended by the manufacturer of the television set.

• ALWAYS use furniture that can safely support the television set.

• ALWAYS ensure the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.

• ALWAYS educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls.

• ALWAYS route cords and cables connected to your television so they cannot be tripped over, pulled, or grabbed.

• NEVER place a television set in an unstable location.

• NEVER place the television set on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support.

• NEVER place the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.

• NEVER place items that might tempt children to climb, such as toys and remote controls, on the top of the television or furniture on which the television is placed.

The TV screen on your TCL C6KS is made of glass and should be handled with care. To clean the screen, use a glass-cleaning product. For the rest of the set, use a soft cloth and a mild detergent.

Important: Using strong detergents, alcohol-based, or abrasive products may damage the screen.

You should also dust the vents at the back and sides regularly. Avoid using solvents, abrasive, or alcohol-based products, as they could damage the TV set.

Warning: This operation requires at least two people, depending on your TV’s dimension. To ensure a safe installation, observe the following safety notes:

• Check that the wall can support the weight of the TV set and the wall mount assembly.

• Follow the mounting instructions provided with the wall mount. For certain models, make sure to screw the hexagonal VESA wall mounting screw bosses (and screws) provided with the set into the nuts for the wall mount at the back of your set before wall mounting.

• The TV set must be installed on a vertical wall.

• Make sure to use only screws suitable for the material of the wall.

• Make sure that the TV set cables are placed so that there is no danger of tripping over them.

You can access channels on your TCL C6KS in several ways using the remote control:

• Using the Navigation Direction buttons: Press the up/down arrows on the remote to scroll through the channels.

• Using the OK button: Press the OK button to display the channel list. Then use the navigation buttons (up/down/left/right) to highlight a channel and press OK to select it.

• Using the CH buttons: Press the CH∧/∨ buttons on the remote to scroll through the channels.

• Using the numeric buttons: Press the corresponding number buttons on the remote to go directly to a channel.

• Using the 123 button: Press 123 to display the virtual remote control keyboard. You can then use the numeric buttons on the screen, or the List button to operate accordingly.

Accessing the Smart TV Homepage:

1. Press the home button on the remote control to display the Smart TV homepage.

2. Use the navigation buttons (∧/∨/</>) and OK to enter the desired Apps, functions, or settings.

3. Press the back button to return to the homepage.

Using the Settings Menu:

1. Press the settings button (gear icon) on the remote control to display the dashboard menu.

2. Select (All settings) and press OK to enter the settings menu.

3. In submenus, use the ∧/∨ buttons to select menu options. Press OK or the > button to enter the option list or corresponding submenu. Press OK to toggle a setting on or off, or press the </> buttons to adjust a setting.

4. Press the back button to return to the previous menu.

This section describes how to search and store channels automatically. This may be necessary if you skipped channel installation during the initial setup, if you are prompted that there are no channels, or if you want to update your channels.

1. In TV mode, press the settings button on the remote control and select (All settings) > Channels and inputs > Channels > Channel scan. Press OK or the > button to enter.

2. The TV installs and arranges channels according to your country or region. Use ∧/∨ to select Country/Region, and press OK or > to enter. If prompted, enter the password you have set in the (All settings) > System > Lock menu.

3. Use ∧/∨ to select Automatic search and press OK to enter.

4. Use ∧/∨ to select Tuner mode and press </> to select Cable, Antenna, or Satellite. (Note: The Satellite option is available only in selected models.)

5. Use ∧/∨ to select other options to configure.

6. After configuration is complete, use ∨ to select Search and press OK to start scanning channels.

7. The channel search may take a few minutes. After the automatic search, channels are arranged in a preset order. To edit the list, press the settings button, select (All settings) > Channels and inputs > Channels > Edit Channels, and press OK.

Note: The Edit Channels option is not available when Tuner mode is set to Antenna and Country/Region is set to the United Kingdom.

Before using the hands-free TV voice control, connect the TV to the network. Then follow these steps:

1. Turn the built-in MIC switch on your TV set to the “on” position. Please refer to the Quick Start Guide to find the MIC switch location.

2. In Google TV mode, press the Google Assistant button on the remote control.

3. Select “Yes, I’m in”.

4. Say “OK Google” or “Hey Google” to activate it.

Notes:

• This feature is only available for selected models and in Google TV mode.

• A quiet surrounding is required for better function. The recommended distance is within 2 meters in front of the TV.

• Turn the built-in MIC switch to “off” if you are not going to use it.

• The availability of hands-free TV voice control depends on your region, country, and language.

• Standby power consumption will increase because the built-in MIC is always listening when enabled.

• Power/Standby: To switch the sound off and back on. Standby / quit standby.

• Numeric buttons: To enter channel numbers or a digit.

• Source button: To select input source.

• Settings button: To display the Quick Settings panel.

• Colour buttons: To select tasks or Teletext pages; to be used for HbbTV function.

• Circular D-Pad: Navigation direction buttons (up/down/left/right).

• OK: To confirm an entry or selection.

• Back button: To return to the previous menu or quit an App.

• Dashboard button: To display the dashboard menu.

• Google Assistant button: Press to talk to the Google Assistant (available in Google TV mode with a normal network connection).

• Home button: To access the Smart TV homepage.

• EPG button: To access the Electronic Programme Guide (digital channels only) or DTV EPG (Google TV mode only).

• VOL+/-: To control the volume.

• 123 button: To pop up the virtual remote control keyboard when available.

• Info button: To display programme information, if available.

• CH∧/∨: To change channels.

• NETFLIX: To access Netflix if available.

• prime video: To access Prime video if available.

• YouTube button: To access YouTube if available.

• Media Player button: To access Media Player.

• TCL CHANNEL: To access TCL Channel.

• Disney button: To access Disney.

1. Push to open the back cover as illustrated.

2. Insert two AAA batteries according to the polarities marked on the battery case.

3. Replace the back cover as illustrated.

CAUTION: Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

• Only use the battery types specified (AAA).

• Make sure you use the correct polarity.

• Do not mix new and used batteries.

• Do not use rechargeable batteries.

• Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, may result in an explosion.

• Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment, such as sunshine, fire, or a hot surface may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

• A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

• Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not using it for a long period of time.

• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
