When transporting and placing your PREMIUM PFR40W, please follow these guidelines:

Transportation:

• When moving the chest freezer, the inclination of the cabinet should not exceed 45 degrees to prevent damage to the compressor or system.

Placement:

• Before use, remove all packing material.

• The back side of the freezer should be more than 20cm away from the wall, and both flank sides should also be more than 20cm away.

• Place the freezer in a well-ventilated, dry place. Do not use it under direct sunlight.

• Keep the freezer away from water sinks, heat sources, and any volatile or corrosive materials.

The PREMIUM PFR40W requires the following power specifications:

• Power Supply: Single-phase power supply, 60Hz, with a voltage range of 98-132V. If the voltage is unstable, it is recommended to install a voltage stabilizer with a capacity above 1000W.

• Wiring: The specified capacity of the wire is 7A, and the section squares of the wire should be 0.82mm². Single line or compound lines are allowed.

• Fuse: A fuse of 2.5A specified electric current should be installed.

• Power Cord Replacement: If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced with a new one of the same specification (7A and 0.82mm²).

Avoid turning the power on and off too frequently. If the power is turned off, wait for an interval of 5 minutes before turning it on again.

If the freezer will be out of use for a long time, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the power first.

2. Clean the freezer.

3. Before reusing it, examine the circuit to ensure it is in excellent condition.

The temperature inside the cabinet is controlled with the temperature control knob. The knob should normally be kept in an upright position to adjust the temperature. The “FREEZING MAX/HI” setting is the strongest cooling position and is suitable for fast freezing. However, you should not keep the knob at this point for long periods.

For proper food storage and optimal performance, please follow these guidelines:

• Ensure there is space between the foods stored in the cabinet, and between the food and the inner surface of the cabinet. This allows for good ventilation of cold air and ensures even freezing.

• Do not put any bottled or canned beverages with a freezing point above the cabinet’s temperature inside when it is below zero.

• For foods that should be moisture-free or lose water easily, wrap them in hermetical food bags or fresh films before placing them in the cabinet. This helps to avoid smell-mixing and reduces frosting.

• The storage of volatile and combustible gases and liquids, such as strong alkalies, strong acids, petrol, etc., is forbidden.

The freezer should be cleaned regularly. Follow these steps for maintenance:

Interior Cleaning:

1. Turn off the power and take out the foods from the cabinet.

2. Clean the inside using water or a little neutral detergent.

3. Do not use boiling water, acid, chemical diluents, petrol, oil, or dirt-removing powder.

4. Dry it thoroughly after cleaning.

Exterior and Door Seal Cleaning:

• Use a soft cloth with water or a little detergent to clean the outer surface. Note: keep the power supply and lower part of connect wires away from water to avoid electricity leakage.

• Use light soap water when cleaning the door seal. Apply a little talcum powder on it after it has naturally dried to extend its service life.

Repairs:

• Except for common breakdowns, individuals who are not service technicians should not take apart and repair the freezer on their own to avoid worsening the trouble. Unauthorized repair of electrical parts such as the compressor or temperature controller is forbidden.

You should defrost your PREMIUM PFR40W for better freezing efficiency when the frost film in the cabinet is 4-5mm thick.

To defrost:

1. Turn off the power.

2. Take out the frozen foods.

3. Open the door to allow for warming and melting.

4. Use a soft cloth to absorb the water and clean it up.

Important: Do not use sharp metal tools such as a steel brush to clean the frost film when defrosting, as this can cause evaporator damage.

The following are not faults and are considered normal operation for your PREMIUM PFR40W:

• When the freezer is working or after it stops for a while, the refrigerant in the pipes is cycling and gives out “running water” sounds.

• The surface temperature of the compressor may be up to 70°C – 80°C when it is working.

• The back side of the freezer gives out heat.

• In a rainy season, the outer surface of the cabinet may have dew, which makes no defects on normal use. Just dry it with a piece of cloth.

The control panel on your PREMIUM PFR40W has several indicators and settings:

Cooling Area (Refrigerador):

1. Minimum temperature in cooling area: The warmest setting in cooling mode.

2. Cooling area: The range of settings for standard cooling.

3. Maximum temperature in cooling area: The coldest setting in cooling mode.

Freezing Area (Congelador):

4. Minimum temperature in freezing area: The warmest setting in freezing mode.

5. Freezing area: The range of settings for freezing.

6. Minus 18° C point: A specific reference point on the dial.

7. Maximum temperature in freezing area: The coldest setting in freezing mode, also known as “FREEZING MAX/HI” for fast freezing.

Indicator:

8. Power indicator: A light that shows the freezer is receiving power.
