When transporting your PREMIUM PFR40SX chest freezer, follow these guidelines for placement:

Transportation:

When moving the chest freezer from one place to another, the inclination of the cabinet should not exceed 45 degrees to prevent damage to the compressor or system.

Placement:

1. Before use, remove all packing material.

2. The back side of the cabinet should be more than 20cm away from the wall, and both flank sides should be more than 20cm away from any objects.

3. The freezer should be placed in a well-ventilated, dry location.

4. Do not use it under direct sunlight.

5. The freezer should be kept away from water sinks, heat sources, and any volatile, corrosive material.

Your PREMIUM PFR40SX freezer has the following power requirements:

Wiring and Fuse: The specified capacity of the wire is 7A, with a section square of 0.82mm². A fuse of 2.5A specified electric current should be installed. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced with one of the same specifications (7A and 0.82mm²).

Power Supply: It requires a single-phase power supply, 60Hz, with a voltage range of 98-132V. If your voltage is unstable, it is recommended to install a voltage stabilizer with a capacity above 1000W.

Avoid turning the power on and off too frequently. If the power is turned off, you should wait for an interval of 5 minutes before turning it on again.

If the freezer will be out of use for a long time, first disconnect the power, then clean it. Before using it again, please examine the circuit to ensure it is in excellent condition.

The temperature inside the cabinet is controlled with the temperature control knob. The knob should be kept upright normally to adjust the temperature. The “FREEZING MAX/HI” position is the strongest cooling setting and is suitable for fast freezing. Do not keep the knob at this point for a long time.

For optimal food storage in your PREMIUM PFR40SX, please follow these guidelines:

Air Circulation: There must be space between the foods stored in the cabinet, and between the foods and the inner surface of the cabinet, to keep good ventilation of cold air and freeze evenly.

Beverages: Do not put any bottled or canned beverage with a freezing point above the temperature in the cabinet when it is below zero.

Food Wrapping: For foods that should be moisture-free or lose water easily, wrap them up with hermetical food bags or fresh films before putting them in the cabinet. This helps avoid smell-mixing and reduces frosting.

Prohibited Items: Storage of volatile and combustible gases, liquids such as strong alkalies, strong acids, petrol, etc., is forbidden.

Regular maintenance will ensure your PREMIUM PFR40SX runs efficiently.

General Cleaning:

1. The freezer should be cleaned regularly. When cleaning, turn off the power and take out the foods from the cabinet.

2. Clean the inside using water or a little neutral detergent.

3. Do not use boiling water, acid, chemical diluents, petrol and oil, or dirt-removing powder.

4. Dry it after cleaning.

Door Seal Care:

Use light soap water when cleaning the door seal. Apply a little talcum powder on it after it has naturally dried to extend its service life.

Exterior Cleaning:

Use a soft cloth with water or a little detergent to clean the outer surface. Note, keep the power supply and the lower part of connect wires away from water to avoid electricity leakage.

Repairs:

Except for common breakdowns, those who are not service technicians should not take apart and repair the freezer on their own so as to avoid worsening the trouble. Unauthorized repair of electrical parts such as the compressor or temperature controller is forbidden.

You should defrost your PREMIUM PFR40SX for better freezing efficiency when the frost film in the cabinet is 4-5mm thick.

Defrosting Steps:

1. Turn off the power.

2. Take out the frozen foods.

3. Open the door to allow for warming and melting.

4. Use a soft cloth to absorb water and clean it up.

Important: Do not use sharp metal tools such as a steel brush to clean the frost film when defrosting, as this can cause evaporator damage.

The control panel on your PREMIUM PFR40SX consists of a dial and a power indicator light. The numbered points on the dial correspond to the following functions:

1. Minimum temperature in cooling area: The warmest setting in the cooling range.

2. Cooling area: The standard refrigeration temperature range.

3. Maximum temperature in cooling area: The coldest setting in the cooling range.

4. Minimum temperature in freezing area: The warmest setting in the freezing range.

5. Freezing area: The standard freezing temperature range.

6. Minus 18° C point: A reference point indicating -18°C.

7. Maximum temperature in freezing area: The coldest setting for fast freezing.

8. Power indicator: Illuminates when the freezer is connected to power.

Yes, the following are normal operating conditions for your PREMIUM PFR40SX and are not faults:

Running Water Sounds: When the freezer is working or after it stops for a while, the refrigerant in the pipes is cycling and gives out “running water” sounds.

Hot Compressor: The surface temperature of the compressor may be up to 70°C-80°C when it is working.

Heat from the Back: The back side of the freezer gives out heat.

Exterior Condensation: In a rainy season, the outer surface of the cabinet may have dew, which makes no defects on normal use. Just dry it with a piece of cloth.
